I am not a guiterist..but i always want to add strum in my production.i literally check all the tutorial.but first time it feels that..now i can use it without hesitation ❤️.thanks man❤️
Great job my man. This is the only video I needed to understand what I assume most people want to know - how to create a strum sequence using this plugin without getting intimidated by the slightly complex plug-in interface.
So good William. I have only just found you on You Tube. I am 69 years old and played bass most of my life now play a little guitar. I have had Ample Sound Taylor for a couple of years and never knew that it could do do much. I know a little music theory but you make it look easy and you are a great teacher. I hope that you continue you videos especial with the strum patterns. I am going to watch your video again for the 30th time to make sure I understand. Excellent stuff.
I agree . This is a way l never would've figured out and still don't completely understand how to do everything you did especially the using a note to trigger chords and other things . Thank you for showing us these great options available and how to accomplish them . The best to you and yours .
Hey Dude!! I am so greatful right now!! You have opened so many doors in my creativity. I battled with this plugins. I used to make three or more tracks, with each dedicated to one chord and one pattern! I even attempted to "program" different strumming patterns with the automations. But now I am set. I did not know it was so simple!! A note triggers a chord, and a nother note triggers the patterns!! AWESOME!!! I am for ever in debt with you.
Thank you William! (Where were you 3 years ago when I first started struggling with programming Ample Sound products?!!!) Ample products sound great - but the people at Ample assume we know way too much when they are writing their instruction manuals and documentation!!) Keep up the great work!
Thank you bthrowerr ! The instructions manuals could be indeed better. But I think it's always difficult to teach an instrument (be there a real one or a VST) without video materials haha. AmpleSound's products are really great once we know how to use them. Which is the purpose of this channel. Cheers ;)
Exactly this. I have the whole library of the older one but they had like no tutorials at all, got really frustrated with it and quite for a very long time.
I just bought some Amplesound guitars and have to say this is the most twisted UI ever. External (DAW) MIDI notes to trigger little sequence snippets instead of allowing multiple bars of sequence to be grouped as a patterns or in a song, is quite strange. I don't think I would have figured out hope to string more than 1 bar of strumming +chord changes together without this video. Still scratching my head a bit as my (most current) Ui is slightly difference and doesn't have an obvious place to assign the note to trigger the seq. It actually looks easier to just program one bar at a time and drag it over as midi notes into a track.
Simply Thank you!!! The manual is too shallow and I didn't find anywhere how to fix something basic (sort of "hidden"...). I instanly subscribed about 2 months ago, now I have time to watch over and over and try out in my daw. Hopefully in the future you can upload more content... thanks again and greetings from Argentina
This video should've been the top result when looking for a tutorial. Highly underrated You covered EVERY base I had to save the video in case I lose it👏🏽👏🏽
Just got AGT and this video was super helpful. I noticed that the default patterns change when you switch guitar sound presets. It would be helpful to know if you can "lock" the strum patterns while trying out sounds.
Tried this using Metal Eclipse (only Ample product I own) which is tuned to C G C F A D and cannot be retuned to E A D G B E. Yielding some interesting results LOL but I learned something from you nonetheless, thank you.
wondering how you dleetd that note from the plug in window, ive been trying to delete and drag backwards but it wont delete so i had to draw the whole pattern again
This is very confusing. I can't read music, but I play piano by ear excellent. Is there a simple way to strum, without going in and having to precisely fix so many things? Like, I just want to play the chords on the piano and have it sound like a guitar is strumming those chords.
ikr I was pretty frustrated when the piano roll strum tool muted the top strings, this plugin sounded cool but why this unnecessary sequencer inside the plugin with small boxes to the size of a pixel.
I'm missing a step that's probably obvious. I can create a chord in Strummer and tell it whether to strum up or down, etc, but then how do I assign that chord to a MIDI note in Piano Roll Editor, and how do I come back and create another chord for after the chord change? It's probably something really obvious that I've missed. I just can't figure out how to make it play back, and I assume it's because I don't see how to assign a chord to a given key. Maybe a step I missed at the beginning?
These are something called "Chord Switch mode" and "Detect mode", I'm not an expert on that question. If you want to know more about this feature, you can ask them directly on the KVR forum :D
Ample needs to hire you. This is the best tutorial on this I've found.
Thank you aha
This is my last instrumental track, best vst guitar in action, i hope you enjoy

Yeah I've lesen more in 10 m with this tutorial than countless hours of demo and review from others 😅
Thank you 👍
So true!!

I was struggling so much with this plugin, this tutorial was SO helpful. Thank you!!!
the strummer is the most unintuitive thing I have ever seen
This is the only tutorial that I was able to get any progress on. Thank you very much!
God bless you for this video! You have no idea how many beginning Musicians' lives you've saved...

Ahah thank you. I paused this channel for now but maybe one day (if I have time) I will keep on posting videos :)
So! I had no idea my Ample guitar plugin could do any of this lol, thank you, this has been super imformative!
I agree . This is a way l never would've figured out and still don't completely understand how to do everything you did especially the using a note to trigger chords and other things . Thank you for showing us these great options available and how to accomplish them . The best to you and yours .
I have used Ample Sounds guitars for a long time but only now I am starting to see what I can do with it, thanks to you fella
Completely earned a sub. The clearest explanation of this VST I've seen on UA-cam.

This was an amazing tutorial. I kept hitting the cord switch keys thinking it would play chords but it's all part of the sequencer. Thanks a lot
First tutorial that made sense on how to do this. Thank you so much!
Please keep making more of these video. I just got this plug in and am trying to learn as much as I can.
this is the best i have seen so far.. Thank you

This plugin makes MUCH more sense now. Thank you for the tutorial!!!
Best tutorial on ample guitar

This video should've been the top result when looking for a tutorial. Highly underrated
You covered EVERY base I had to save the video in case I lose it👏🏽👏🏽
Man this is complex! Really Intense. Sounds fantastic but I might actually learn to play my acoustic guitar faster than learning to program this!
amen. i know VSTs .. but iv never been more confused by a vst than this 1
Yes, no fun
감사합니다. 최고의 선생님이십니다-!!!
Just got AGT and this video was super helpful. I noticed that the default patterns change when you switch guitar sound presets. It would be helpful to know if you can "lock" the strum patterns while trying out sounds.
Thanks man this was very helpful
Great video. Would you know how to set up a strumming pattern with a swing - like a country song swing?
Tried this using Metal Eclipse (only Ample product I own) which is tuned to C G C F A D and cannot be retuned to E A D G B E. Yielding some interesting results LOL but I learned something from you nonetheless, thank you.
please do more videos like this!!!

Very Helpful Thank you
Hey there, William! I am unable to get my strums into the playlist in FL Studio 20... Hope you could help...
Instead of C1 and C3, try placing the chords on C3 and the strums on C5. Not sure why, but that worked for me.
@@davidmorrissey7534 thank you!
@@davidmorrissey7534 Seconded 🙌🙏
Many thanks for this comprehensive guide!
Basics are understood now, so I need to do some trials.
wondering how you dleetd that note from the plug in window, ive been trying to delete and drag backwards but it wont delete so i had to draw the whole pattern again
Great...
You are amazing 👏

Great video, thank you so much. Why did you set the master track delay to -50ms, this has puzzled me?
thank you for your Description
but why you set up global track delay -50ms ??
Thank you so much for this tutorial, it´s been super helpful!!! I´m liking and subscribing right now!
Great tutorial - thanks 👍

I think I have miss the same thing, if ever you have the solution, grateful if you could share!
We can also use c5 d5 as trigger I m confused which key to use for a clean progression
