Would definitely recommend packing lightweight trousers/long skirts & a couple tops that cover your shoulders if you plan on visiting temples. Also Kanken, Osprey & many other brands do backpacks which open like a suitcase - which makes it a lot easier to pack/access your stuff 😊 safe travels!
You're going to have the best time! A bit of advice for anyone else who's planning a trip to SE Asia: less is more, there are excellent launderettes all over that are cheap and will wash your clothes really nicely (and after a while backpacking, clean pressed clothes are incredible!). Also, definitely take some longer light trousers and shirts - it's hot but you'll need them for temples, plus they're good for protecting against sunburn and mozzie bites. Style is generally v casual, so you'll only need minimum make up and other products. You can get most things out there for cheap but I would recommend taking plenty of suncream as that's a lot more expensive out there. Have a great time Molly!
This takes me back to when I was packing to backpack Aus for 3 years! As time goes on you definitely realise less is more and the lighter the better. Nothing worse than when its chucking it down with rain and you're carrying round a heavy backpack of clothes you'll probably only were a few times. Also recommend taking clothes you don't really care about so if you do decide your bag is too heavy, you're not sad to leave anything behind. Hope you have the best time!✈🌏
I've travelled with my 40 liter Osprey for a couple of years now and love it haha. I would suggest getting a backpack which opens at the front, it's a lot easier! But great video, you're fun to watch! 😄
Thank you so much for watching hahaa, yes definitely wanna make sure we get backpacks that open at the front next time we travel, MILES easier I'm sure haha!!
i'd really recommend a backpack with a side zip or that opens like a clam shell. also you can get high street shops and any toiletries over here anyway!!
Love this video- makes me super jealous! If it was me I’d reduce the makeup by half atleast: bronzer, mascara and foundation. 2 or 3 swimsuits max and get rid of the denim shorts- way too hot to wear denim in Asia! Can’t wait to follow your travels xo
If I were you I'd only take one pair of pjs and one pair of denim shorts. A full 65l pack will be very heavy. I'd also only take 10 pairs of knickers. As a general rule of thumb, SE Asia is so cheap for laundry that once a week you can easily do laundry.
@@Alex-mx6mu ya. Spent months backpacking and one pair is more than enough. SEA is so easy to get laundry done. You can often give it to them in the morning and pick it up later that day
The packing is in itself a triumph! Good job! No need to worry about creasing - one thing I learned living in seaside areas is that wrinkles don't last long in humid climates! I had just finished watching Emma Topp's last two travel vlogs when you announced this journey! You are my two favourite travellers and maybe someday the two of you will do some sort of combined trip! (You'll either love each other or hate each other, but either way it would be entertaining! For us, anyway..:) Potential sponsors - make this happen! Bon voyage, Molly! From your stories it looks like so far so good!
I’ve never used a packing cube before, are they really useful? I’ve also traveled with a 65L backpack to America & Europe, I think it’s the best way to travel! Enjoy and good luck!!
i agree with you Maniuzilla. the old rule applies : work out everything you think you will need and then half it, taking just 50%. unless you're heading into the wilderness, there will be shops stocking virtually everything else you might need during the trip.
Wow this is amazing, good job. Keep up the good work. Watch my new video about travelling through southeast asia. What place/ country shoud I visit next?😃

I like that 65 liter backpack. Makes for a fun trip. It’s on the bigger side but you don’t have to settle like you would have to for a 40 litre
I would recommend packing about a third of what you did
so happy for you, can’t wait to watch your travel journey!!

Thats funny because everyone i knew who did SEA wore denim shorts everywhere!!!

Only one pair of pjs for 4 months of sleep?
