    Using example code from the felis/USB_Host_Shield_2.0 library an arduino nano and a host shield. For very little I built a very nice little USB to midi converter.

      Haha, thanks for watching. ;-) Yes of course I expected it to go past 10k this year, but much later. Was totally surprised the QY100 video took off the way it did.
      And I absolutely didn't expect this when I started.

    Good video 👍 Accents are strange things - when I visit the UK my accent vanishes! 😀
    Edit: people are probably just curious about where you are located and don't want to guess whether that's Germany, Austria, Switzerland, or Poland in case they get it wrong and cause offence.

    I built one from an arduino clone ages ago.
    The code is open source.
    Cunningham, who has an electronic gizmos channel shows how to build it.
    Great channel by the way thanks for sharing your knowledge 👍.

      My thoughts exactly, no need to spend that much (if you can even find a Pi in stock) when you can easily do this with pretty much any microcontroller.

    Dear Floyd, I want to built a old fashion 5 pin midi in for the raspberry pi with the minidexed shrunk dx7. you mentioned a video where you would explain this. where can i find it? thanx for your reply. kind regards, Wim van Lenthe (the Netherlands)

    • @mr_floydst
      @mr_floydst  Рік тому

      Hello Wim, no, MiniDexed does not support hardware MIDI in. You'll need the box in this video, or the workaround mentioned on github.com/probonopd/MiniDexed/wiki/Hardware#usb-midi-device
      Best regards!

    Hi, how are you ?, in the end I bought a yamaha QY70. After a recieved it I turned on it said "low battery", so I went and bought the Duracel CR2032 and replaced it from the old one; I think they could´ve done that before selling it; , it´s easy you know, So to my surprise now it doesn´t say low battery , now it shows the logo in big letters "QY70" and it doesn´t work. I also bought the swing keyboard and and a big dissaponted ´cause I can´t use it . The person I bought it from said, that it was working fine, ufff!!!!. Well I thoght let´s ask Floyd maybe I´ve done something wrong after I change the battery......Sorry I didn´t know anyone to ask .... Thanks And about your accent is perfect, I lived in England for twenty years and mainly the people from the north they can´t understand between each other . Every country has from north to south east to west different accents or way to say the same things. The main thing in the end is to be able to communicate....

    • @mr_floydst
      @mr_floydst  2 місяці тому +1

      Hi! You might / will definitely have to perform a factory reset. The procedure is explained here: faq.yamaha.com/usa/s/article/U0001987
      Thanks for your comment on the accent. That's how I feel about this as well; the most important thing is people can understand what I'm saying. And tbh, I love accents. Scottish, australian, "posh", american, and non-native accents as well. They're both a part of your personal and local identity. :-)
