I think he’s overlooked the new mustang horses that were added with the bounty hunter expansion the mustangs also have max health and stamina they are also faster than the cob and kladruber
It is the only horse you need though. The Kladruber is the only horse I have across 3 accounts. The only reason it's not my only horse on my 2 main accounts is because of videos
@@Jowers97 newer mustangs are the best option for lower level starting players its not locked behind a role its 500 bucks and can get 10 health 10 stamina
Cool video but there is a very minimal difference in speed/acceleration between most horses so as long as you have nacadoches saddle and hooded stirrups you can pick basically any horse you like the look of
Overall best horse in the game: Mustang (cheap 500 dollars, full HP and stamina and one of fastest speeds, no role requirements) Best horse without looking at price: Black Arabian. (Overall best handling, speed and acceleration ratio and health + stamina ratio) Fastest horse in the game (Top Max speed): Rank 20 Moonshiner horse- Norfolk Roadster. Personal favorite: Rank 30 Bounty hunter horse: Breton. (Simply for the fact he is a fucking unit and also because he seems a lot more fearless when it comes to gunfire and predators compared to other horses.) BONUS: Best saddle by far- Nacogdoches saddle with rank 54 stirrups Best saddle bag- Collectors saddle bag (rank 10 collector required I believe, 7 outfit slots)
@Soft & Wet I disagree, Norfolk is the fastest but the speed isn't everything, his health especially is pretty low. But yes, I would definitely upgrade from a Mustang if I had enough money.
@Soft & Wet Yes, Ive learned later that the "fearlessness" of horses is the exact same and the only thing that can affect this is using Dead Eye while having Slow and Steady. Bretons are fucking units though.
@Soft & Wet Mustang has full cores when having full bonding, Roadster has them a lot lower but yes I would say that Roadster is better than Mustang overall, but he is more expensive and requires you to rank up a role completely, not to mention having said role in the first place.
@@YouCanCallMeSus Mustang is the best horse in the game for the price. Lol he doesn't know he's talking about with the health and stamina cores and circles...
i do think the handling makes a difference, at least when riding through forests and such where the game wants to take control of the horse instead of accepting the players inputs. Better handling gives you distinctly more control, which is the reason why im using a nokota instead of the MFT, Breton and Turkoman i have.
There's a non-told/shown stat within the game for the horses : bravery. Depending on the horse you pick, some are more coward than others when facing a Grizlly, a Cougar, an Gator ect... So you you can or cannot be thrown out fast by your horse encountering these depending of the natural courage of it's race.
@@lonestarbuckeye6889 Only by reputation they have from users. And also from some descriptions ingame, like in Online mode : merchant and bounty hunters horses are claimed to be brave. In story mode, lots of players claimed the black Shire to be a fearless and tough horse, and it is true.
It annoys me that you can't sell horses you've "outgrown." I've been riding my Grey Turkoman for a long time, and I never want another horse anymore. ❤️👍
Or allow for a pack horse or pack mules? Or ability to actually sleep? Take a bath? Or maybe more realism to the period on pricing for goods? Lots of ways to improve.
The first horse I got was the Missouri Fox Trotter black tovero. Its one of my favourites and looks really cool. I have it maxed up fully and it has 10 speed and 8 acceleration, it has almost fully health and stamina but never runs out of stamina because of pressing L3 every few seconds and because it’s fully upgraded it drains extremely slow. I don’t regret buying this horse but it is very expensive
I like the turkoman, mainly because there is a gold version of it. Max health, 75% stamina but it doesnt matter if you have the nagodoches saddle and are using the left joystick calming feature which makes your horse stamina boost. And great speed, good acceleration.
I have the black one and the gold one. LOVE them both! I've tried others but always keep coming back to them. The black chestnut Thoroughbred is my 3rd favorite.
Yeah, I have two Turkomans, one gold and the other chestnut. They are the best looking horses in the game in my opinion. I also have two Arabians (one black, one white), a Criollo, A Fox Trotter and a Norfolk Roadster. I use them all interchangeably, and they all have excellent stats, but the Turkomans just look like a horse should....
high level mustangs get max stam and max health... with solid stats for speed and accel. especially with good stirrups and saddle. even better than klad and cob i think.
@@deavyhick6803 yeah but even at lv 4 i don’t think their are maxed but it’s been a long time that my mustang is max so I don’t really remember so I might be wrong
when i picked my horse, i mostly only considered how long it can run without stopping, and for that my money goes to the missouri foxtrotter and the arabian with the upland saddle. what i really dont understand is why they dont just make it so all of them have the same stats so i can actually pick which one i want based on aesthetic because my primal brain want cool looking horse
Thanks for coming out with an updated video on best horses 🐎 I honestly appreciate it. I feel like this game doesn't get as much love anymore & content creators have kinda lost interest in posting about the game.
Unfortunately a lot of folks have lost interest because Rockstar left it to late when it came to delivering quality updates. They kept on drip feeding little updates that quite honestly were pretty crap. The latest update is decent compared to passed updates but it’s to little to late. Real shame as this game has such massive potential.
The better Mustangs are excellent horses. I have a Buckskin Mustang and he starts out with the stamina and health bars about 2/3 full. Once fully bonded they’re almost completely full. It also has great speed and acceleration and good enough handling. I also like the Breton and if you’re a low level and you want to upgrade to a better horse the Chestnut Arabian is available from a very low level and isn’t too bad.
Good video. I also like how you mention that cosmetics are also important. I’m not new to the game but I enjoy watching your videos to learn new stuff I might have missed.
I must say though. Some of the newer Mustangs are also pretty good. With the Nacco saddle my black and white mustang maxes out it’s speed, and has pretty good stamina and very good health. And although I use the black and white because of the looks, there are others with the same stats that are just as good. But my Silver Dapple MFT Tequila will always be my favorite and holds a special place in my heart.
4:54 - Honestly, I kinda think the Missouri Fox Trotter should be in that list. It has the same stats as the Rank 20 Criollo, and compared to the Rank 20 Norfolk Roadster is drops one point of Acceleration but in turn gains one point in Health. It's not a Role horse, but it might as well be, and doesn't actually require you to be Rank 20 in a Role to get it. The Blue Roan MFT also looks better (in my opinion) than most of the Rank 20 Role horse coats.
Agreed, blue roan was the first horse i bought when i had money. Thinking about replacing it with a role horse of some sort tho since saddle and stirrups max out basically every horse’s speeds
Black Chestnut Thoroughbred. Had that horse since the Beta when I purchased the ultimate edition. Love the horse. Best horse for speed and handling for the way I play in my opinion. It’s also nice to have a horse not many other people have. Makes it unique. Saddle: Rattlesnake Vaquero.
@@relate97 If you have never run out of stamina then you must traverse the map at a crawl, for people who are grinding and need to get from point A to point B very quickly, its not the best horse. Don't get me wrong, mine is one of my favs, especially because he is actually the bravest horse in my stable, but its not a horse I use when time is of the essence.
i still don’t understand when i look at videos about the best horses in rdo that they never talk about the mustang when the new coat versions have some of the best stats in the game. i also think that they should scrap the acceleration stat and replace it with a bravery or strength stat and make horses with higher bravery be able to be more calm around predators and gunfire and some horses with max bravery may be aggressive when in combat which is a thing with horses in real life.
I have to say I'm with the Mustang. Although I am thinking about getting another horse and I have been torn between which one. So this does help. Thank you for the video.
Nah mate the mustang (in my opinion) is the best horse out there, it has make stamina and health at level 4 bonding, it has the same speed and acceleration as a breton and it is juts 500$ so keep it and trust me it gets things done
Dutch Warmblood Chocolate Roan. Such a beautiful horse and towers over almost all the others. Never see other players with it either. However, it is noticeably slower than some of the other horses in both acceleration amd top speed. Do those things matter? No. But you can "feel" the speed difference in free roam compared to the fastest horses such as a Missouri Fox Trotter and that may bother some. It also costs gold bars which kinda sucks. BUT if you want a beautiful, unique horse you won't see others using - I highly recommend checking out the Dutch Warmblood Chocolate Roan.
I have a full 10 stables. Never had the dead core bug thank goodness. My favorites are definitely the Turkoman and Missouri Fox Trotter. They are awesome for grinding. I like my war horses for hunting. The rest I have are random horses that look amazing and cost gold because they are more rare. Just put the best saddle on and your good to go. Honestly, I have had every horse in the game, the saddle, stirrups, and accessories will make just about any horse amazing. Honestly, just pick one you like and beef it up.
@Emma Oriente my 2 war horses for sure. They never buck me when hunting unless a panther gets too close, but even then sometimes my Brighid trusts in my gun. War horses are the best for hunting.
Can I ask how you managed to start getting good? Grinding for 15 bars of gold to get the first role is certainly soul draining going at 0.5 nuggets each time 😅😅
The list is below as per me. 1) Best horse over all and king of all horses - Arabian Black - (nothing beats it). 2) Best looking horse in this game - Turkoman - Dark Bay coat (Tall, dark, slim, white socks, everything about this horse is beautiful, the only problem is it gets scared way too easily). 3) Best horse for starters - Mustang - any coat, but I prefer Buckskin. (This horse breed is underrated, they have 10 stamina and health at max level 4 bonding, they have top speed as Arabian, they are brave, the only down side is the 1 less acceleration).
From what I've heard my posse leader who is a couple away from being a lv 500 said the best horse breed would be the Missouri Foxtrotter under the Multi category and so far really good health on the horse and the stamina is about 90% of the way full at max level
The online exclusive mustangs are definitely the best of the best. Max health and stamina, just as fast as an Arabian, with only slightly less acceleration. Mustangs are also known for being brave
I did use the shire in the whole game play of story mode. Once I started playing online I got one as well but lately I've been using the moonshining horse. But either today or tomorrow, or when I get it, I'm going to use the free stable coupon from the pass, and then buy the gypsy cob. I already had my eye on it because it's large like the Shire, and it's got the super cute foot fluff
Good video but would like to mention i have a mustang who also has max health and stamina, and isnt a role horse either, I got it pretty early on for 500 bucks dont sleep on the newer mustangs
I just started playing RDO a few days ago, and am level 15 now. I'm still using my starter horse, but it seems like saving up $500.00 for the Mustang is the way to go. Cash is "fairly" easy to get, and the Mustang has pretty good stats, and is a smaller target than large horses.
fun little fact, horse doesn't matter. the speed difference i small enough and bond nulls stamina to the point only health matters in pvp sometimes. you're wasting your money
@@azruFN yes, there are small differences like health and height, but for the most part it's all a way to trick new players into buying gold bars. Unless you have a specific horse you really like the looks of, stick to your starter horse.
Mustangs are good too AND also buy whatever horse you want, there are plenty of good horses and as long as you have a good saddle and stirrups you can make a bad horse kinda decent.
@@lindaflores6326 u got a free horse ticket and a free saddle ticket most likely so go to the stable and look through the riding horses and the saddles so u dont have to use scrawny nag 😂
to put it simply, the best horse is the norfolk roadster, save money and work up to it like i did. I only have two horses. the one i started with and norfolk roadster. I only went for the best
Bonding with your horse is, extremely, easy. However, it does take a little bit of time. Whenever, I purchase a new horse, I lead it around on foot, patting it, occasionally. It, usually, takes about 20 minutes versus a couple of sessions of gameplay, to get it to level 4 bonding. As others have stated, the Mustang is a great horse, due to its high stamina. Good vid, though.
It actually doesn't matter what horse onlypvpcat tested this and there's an extremely small difference its all in the saddle so use what u think looks cool
I bought the Missouri Fox Trotter with the Aligator saddle early on and they've been good to me. I never do races. Pretty much just grind roles with occasional free roam pvp and haven't had much to complain about with that combo plus it looks pretty good with the collector saddle bag.
@theewolf I've got the same,. The Alligator Saddle with the Collector Satchels looks clean AF. It has got great base stamina but if I need to go the distance I just feed em a carrot.
Great video. I just started online 4 days ago, up to rank 21 so far but my horse is a Morgan. He tries his best bless him but his stamina is shocking. Just 5 gold to go before I can buy into a role. Can't decide between bounty hunter or collector but either way I'm looking forward to getting a better horse
How do you completely ignore the Mustang in this review... Hello..? It's the best Bounty Hunter horse because it's so hard to kill. Particularly if you're using horse meds. That and I discovered another current review that points out that you can get turbo boost on the Black Arabian by spamming X while pressing down on the left joysick on the pad... which also calms the horse. I tested it against my Roadster and MFT, etc... Basically the Arabian beat every other horse I have in tests, and I have all the fastest and uber horses in the game. The Mustang also boosts... Either way the Black Arabian has better overall stats than any other horse in the game. Saying they all ride the same is false, the Arabian turns on a dime and avoids collisions better than any other horse I have. Another thing I discovered while testing the Shire is it wins every collision with another horse, it just barrels through them like a freight train. I found myself aiming at other riders on road just for the fun of it. It literally kills other horses in collisions in some cases. I don't really have a favorite horse... I use them all for different tasks.
I’ve never heard of a horse having a turbo boost. The only trick I know is pressing the left joystick to refill the horse stamina every 20 seconds or so
Causal black Arabian user I use the black Arabian because I appreciate the stats and notice the control the handling provides, I also use it for sentimental value due to special personal reasons.
Max stamina isn't very important to me personally because I just use the trick that gives you back stamina while using it so I never run out anyway 😂 So Health, Speed and Acceleration are the bigger deciding factors to me. Not to mention the hidden factors like how they do around predators and gun fire etc. At the moment I have a Missouri Fox Trotter, trying to level up in my roles before getting a role horse lol
I own two mustangs, two turkomans, and four Missouri fox trotters. Those are the only horses I would recommend. All rank fairly decent in stamina, speed, and health. And they don’t spook as easily. An Arabian will throw you off before you really get the chance to calm it.
White shire | black klaud both nag saddle and hoods stirrups does me well around the map 🔥 but I’ll maybe have a new horse soon.. leveling them up and quick and easy just lead them on the Great Plains takes 15-20 min
One of the 500$ (or 20 Gold) Mustangs that you can get early game. I got the Red Dun Overo with: 9 speed, 7 acceleration at rank 4 bonding & with the broken saddle/stirrups Nacodoches, your horse gets 10 health + 10 stamina. A very nimble horse with standard handling that is cheap and good at everything. It comes in 4 coat varieties/same stats: Red Dun, Black Overo, Buckskin and Chestnut Tovero. I chose the Red Dun, because it looks more emblematic of USA old west's undomesticated horses herds used by the Sioux/Apaches nations. I think the worst horse other than starter are Arabians. Speed is fun, but the poor thing will buck you in the middle of a wolves' pack any chance it gets.
Also the mustangs are really solid horses! Full health and stamina and good handling. Honestly is my favourite horse, plus it’s cheaper in price. Unless you want the black and white overo which is 25 gold. Or 26? I can’t quite remember off the top of my head. But yes I’m finding the role horses worth the purchase. I have one of the bretons and he’s a really solid horse.
I got a buck skin mustang on sale for 250. I highly recommended it for someone trying to get to lvl 100. Hell even After buying multiple different horses I keep going back to my buck skin Spirit👌🏼
I'm not fussed about my horse stats in anything other than sometimes races or aggressive situations...I use the black Kladruber (which has like the slowest speed ever) for free roam more often than not as it has the best true black coat, and a Suffolk Punch if I'm going to hunt things that fight back bc it is steady and even if spooked will come back immediately. I also love the Andalusian and then whatever horse suits my fancy in the moment. My lvl 1 Punch did better with a bear charge than any other horse I've had *shrug* sometimes I don't pay attention and get surprised...I tend to choose horses that keep me alive longest or entertain me the most. Also...I'm better at steering some horses than others...even if they're the same style. Yay less trees
DON'T LISTEN TO THIS MAN, you'll get tons of money eventually with the collector role, more money than you can spend, so why would you waste your time with crappy horses, buy all the horses you want, spend your money, that's what the money in game is, the game is for having fun and what fun there is in riding a low stamina horse at maximum speed for about 5 sconds ?
Really it's the saddle. I'm lvl 346 atm and I tend to use the horses that I like(visually). Also i don't have insurance. Horse insurance is optional not optimal. If you're starting off with no horse just save up for the red chestnut Arabian. It's great until you unlock the Missouri Fox Trotter And Turkmen . A great way for new players to make money is join through posse up. You may luck out and join a posse selling a wagon. That'll be more than enough for the Arabian. If not them most are running bounties. No knock on the video creator but this comment will get you where you need to be before the video finishes.
I found a work-around by accident. MOVE YOUR HORSES AROUND to where the NUMBER 4 STALL has a horse you’re willing to delete. Then go and buy a horse you want in the Number 10 stable. This seems to fix it…it puts the horse into the 4 slot, and fixes the 10 slot…
The best horses for speed and acceleration you are presenting are based on the rubberband effect, so that's why you are saying speed and acceleration don't matter but I've been playing this and GTA since their release and neither one have had a single enjoyable race so any race stats don't apply. I'll have to guess that the Black Arabian still continues to be the best horse in missions and freeroam. I had the dark spotted horse, but with every account I just wait until they reach the level required to purchase the White Arabian. The handling on it is perfect, plus acceleration is most important.
I actually respectfully disagree about role horses being the best horses, in my opinion I believe the Arabian, Turkomon and Missouri Fox Trotters are the best horses because with the Arabian you have the best handling and acceleration. The Turkomon has really good health and handling, and almost as good acceleration and the Missouri Fox Trotter is literally the fastest horse in the game it maxes out speed. And it has pretty good handling and acceleration. Saddles are also a huge part in your horses gameplay. You have to have the hooded stirrups for the stamina to last the longest. Also it doesn’t really matter if the horses natural health and stamina circles are filled up. Because you can easily craft it purchase tonics for your horse anyways.
Ok fast answer for everyone it’s the 500 dollar mustang it gets to 10 stamina and 10 health and the speed isn’t a issue because not only it goes to 9 in speed and 7 in acceleration but those stats actually don’t matter at all the difference between a horse with 10 in speed and one that has 3 is that it gets to valentine 30 seconds earlier from tumbleweed
my personal favorite now is breton bounty hunter level 20 (i finally bought) i think it the best one. it is so stable, strong n fast. my other horse used to stumble upon small objects n buck me off. with this one i can trample wolves n bandits it is a brave and strong horse.
Imma leave a comment for the new players. The best decision I have ever made in this game was buying my buckskin mustang. I got the starter horse, and it was horrible, I would die in any mission bcs he would either buck me or die and it made completing missions very hard. I didn’t have gold to get any role horse, so I just made money with little bounty hunter missions that my friend was able to provide me, and as soon as I got to 500$ I sold the Kentucky and got the mustang. Now, I could catch up to my friend when we needed to go somewhere, he wouldn’t buck me and he didn’t die that much bcs he had amazing health. Having a good horse helps a LOT.
@@MicahBell_1860 as you should. It’s one of my fav breeds I’m the game! Also recommend the turkos or the Norfolk. Very fast, good stamina and health and very brave
in short: Get a horse+saddle combination that wont make you run out of stamina quickly when running + has respectable health so for example: - if you like a horse that doesnt have great starts, dont worry, with the best saddle+stirrups you wont run out anyway - if you dont like the look of the best saddle/stirrups, you can just get a horse that is a bit better, and give it worse saddle/stirrups what you like more. Keep in mind - one bar of stats, only means 0.6% better, so for example Speed 5 horse, is 0.6% better than Speed 4 horse - minimal difference (only about 5 seconds of total travel time from one end of the map to another (the whole journey is about 14min)) (also keep in mind you can refill some the stamina after you unlock the calm option with bonding level) . so basically you can choose any horse+saddle combination, as long as you arent choosing the *absolute cheapest* options
tldr: this guy says gypsy cob (naturalist horse) and the kladruber (trader horse) are the top two horses, however all the max level role horses are good breton: bounty hunter stamina:10 health:9 speed:9 acceleration:7 criollo: collector stamina:9 health:8 speed:9 acceleration:7 Kladruber: trader stamina:10 health:10 speed:7 acceleration:8 norefolk roaster: moonshiner stamina:9 health:7 speed:9 acceleration:8 gypsy cob: naturalist stamina:10 health:10 speed:8 acceleration:8
Maybe some we’ll known person or UA-camr could make some type of vote or pole so rockstar can see how many actual new players and old players are enjoying the game and raise some awareness
Question, if the speed and acceleration doesn’t matter why in free roam some horse is more faster than others? I have red arabian, and I was thinking of buying Nortfolk as my new horse. Is a good choise?
No, the horse stat each have a bar difference of 0.6-7% which is insignificant at all. Therefore, choose the horse that you like the most with a good saddle and stirrups and you are good to go.
Cry me a river is correct. 1 bar of stats is only 0.6%. I think you will find the real increase in speed that you are seeing, is due to saddle & stirrups
Black and White Arabians are truly the best because that elite manouvrability. After days of gallopping and riding you really start to feel the difference, and all of a sudden all the other horsers feel like wooden toys.
Pretty much any multi horse is worth it, once you get the nachodooches saddles it wont matter on stats. What matters is if the horse will buck you off or not and some horses are better at not doing that then others.
I've been playing red dead online for ages now, the three best horses IMO are the Missouri foxtroter, Turkomen and the mustang, mustang us a solid choice for starter players as it only cost around 500 dollars, when you start unlocking roles and making money the foxtroter and Turkomen are your best choice although they do cost around 1000 dollars. I currently own 2 missouri fox trotters, buckskin brindle & black tovero, 1 turkoman, chestnut, and one mustang the black overo
I got the bay arabian for my first bought horse, and i do not regret it one bit. It is great, and it looks like a horse i used to lease irl, before owners sold him off completly to a diffrent country.
The only stat in this game that truly matters is health if you have a good saddle stamina never runs out also every speed bar is only worth 0.6% it’s very slightly noticeable also a tiny horse will feel faster and a bigger horse will feel slower but they go the exact same speed just pick a nice saddle you like and your favourite looking horse I love the flaxen roan Tennessee Walker and the silver-tail buckskin standard
My favorite horse at one point was the Tobiano paint. He wore the panther trail saddle and I adored him. Also had the black Arabian 2x, first time was amazing, 2nd time he was extremely skittish. My horses now consist of, Silver tail Standardbred, Tovero MFT, Black thoroughbred, Leopard and leopard blanket appy’s, rank 20 cob and my newest addition, chocolate dutchie. They all have role saddles on them as I really hate how the nacodoches saddles look lmao
I just bought the brindle thoroughbred and the perlino turkoman and im living them, before that I used the steel gray Bretton and i loved that horse too. Thank you for these tips and keep up the good work!👍
This is a good base explanation video however one of the most important things in my opinion that he has overlooked is temperament. How scared your horse gets from gun shots, being shot, and animals actually changes from horse to horse. Look at other people's videos about horse stats which also include temperament to find the best one(for you, there's no catagorical best) and go with that one.
Look for good temperament, max health, any stamina above 7 won't run out if you press r3 while sprinting, and speed and acceleration don't really matter.
Well in that mission for Clay there are actually three types of horses. Two Kentucky Saddlers (black and gray horses), a Morgan (beige/cream looking horse) and the Tennessee Walker (red'ish brown looking horse) Always go for the Tennessee. Also when you made the video these might not have been a thing so keeping that in mind... I'm surprised you didn't mention the Mustang. It has three variants at $500 and one for 20 gold at six speed and four acceleration and not knowing the numbers of health and stamina they both come up to 2/3 the circle. While a bit slower than the Fox Trotter in both speed and stamina and just one point in stamina for the Turkoman it kills them both in health and stamina. On top of that they are both half and over half the cost of the both of them. When you hit $500 I would look into a Mustang that won't take as long to get, but will be right up there with them.
The only horse you will ever need in this game is any 500 dollar mustang they literally have the 2nd highest stats in the game and they're cheaper than every other "top tier horse"
i like them all but for PVE i prefer war horse (bounty hunter horse) because it dont run and knock you off during shooting and can be called during shootings, i like the collector horse when i do collector because its faster and usually less fights but the trader horse does the same job for PVE, so i think for PVE its not the same horse as PVP or games, because in some occasion i ride the donkey
They should totally have made it so that bigger horses like the shire horse for example can carry more bird carcasses and deer carcasses
Then everyone would ride only Shires

@Soft & Wet Nice argument, understandable, have a great day.

I have the Missouri fox Trotter Blue roan
10 speed? Are you sure? I have it maxed out except the stirrup
Youre horse is only faster by like 1% then a kentucky saddler btw. So just use a cheap horse with good saddle and good stirrups.
I like the turkoman, mainly because there is a gold version of it. Max health, 75% stamina but it doesnt matter if you have the nagodoches saddle and are using the left joystick calming feature which makes your horse stamina boost. And great speed, good acceleration.
Yay a fellow Turkoman owner

The mustangs are amazing, shocked you didn’t mention them. Their on sale rn so I recommend any player to take advantage of this!

Saddle: Rattlesnake Vaquero.

i still don’t understand when i look at videos about the best horses in rdo that they never talk about the mustang when the new coat versions have some of the best stats in the game.
i also think that they should scrap the acceleration stat and replace it with a bravery or strength stat and make horses with higher bravery be able to be more calm around predators and gunfire and some horses with max bravery may be aggressive when in combat which is a thing with horses in real life.
@@thestelt5154 how is it in terms of getting scared off by gunfire or predators?
Dutch Warmblood Chocolate Roan. Such a beautiful horse and towers over almost all the others. Never see other players with it either. However, it is noticeably slower than some of the other horses in both acceleration amd top speed. Do those things matter? No. But you can "feel" the speed difference in free roam compared to the fastest horses such as a Missouri Fox Trotter and that may bother some. It also costs gold bars which kinda sucks.
BUT if you want a beautiful, unique horse you won't see others using - I highly recommend checking out the Dutch Warmblood Chocolate Roan.
Love that horse I call him Benedict
one of my favourites in story mode! such a solid horse
I would argue that gold horses are less rare. I really like the 6 gold tenesse walker at the mo, never see anyone using it
@@ghoultooth depends on the gold horse. My Andalusian is pretty rare. I've not seen anyone else riding it, same with my Dutch Warmblood.
Pretty much any horse is good with the best saddle and stirrups, maybe besides the riding horses
The online exclusive mustangs are definitely the best of the best. Max health and stamina, just as fast as an Arabian, with only slightly less acceleration. Mustangs are also known for being brave
Yea I mean no hate to this guy but my mustang has full stamina and pretty good health
I did use the shire in the whole game play of story mode. Once I started playing online I got one as well but lately I've been using the moonshining horse. But either today or tomorrow, or when I get it, I'm going to use the free stable coupon from the pass, and then buy the gypsy cob.

The only trick I know is pressing the left joystick to refill the horse stamina every 20 seconds or so
What horse do you recommend strictly based on speed+endurance?
You didn't adress one of the more important factor for me (with all other stats being equal) : is the horse skittish under fire / predator presence ?
True but the kladruber is the second to last skittish horse and the Gypsy Cob is the least skittish horse
I use the black and white war horse
I like the size and it "feels" like it doesn't spook easily so it makes for a good bounty/hunting horse
Causal black Arabian user
I use the black Arabian because I appreciate the stats and notice the control the handling provides, I also use it for sentimental value due to special personal reasons.

Good video, I like my mustang also. Full health and stamina with max bonding.
The handling on it is perfect, plus acceleration is most important.
imho i think the mustang is the best non-role horse due to really good sats for speed, health, and stamina
Horse stats are irrelevant, its all about the saddle so ride whatever what.
my personal favorite now is breton bounty hunter level 20 (i finally bought) i think it the best one. it is so stable, strong n fast. my other horse used to stumble upon small objects n buck me off. with this one i can trample wolves n bandits it is a brave and strong horse.
....... I can't believe i fell for this noob clickbait.
Only rank 22, (just moved over from GTA) & I agree with everything you say, so I think I shall be looking at the Mustangs. Cheers
@@MicahBell_1860 as you should. It’s one of my fav breeds I’m the game! Also recommend the turkos or the Norfolk. Very fast, good stamina and health and very brave
in short:
Get a horse+saddle combination that wont make you run out of stamina quickly when running + has respectable health
so for example:
- if you like a horse that doesnt have great starts, dont worry, with the best saddle+stirrups you wont run out anyway
- if you dont like the look of the best saddle/stirrups, you can just get a horse that is a bit better, and give it worse saddle/stirrups what you like more.
Keep in mind - one bar of stats, only means 0.6% better, so for example Speed 5 horse, is 0.6% better than Speed 4 horse - minimal difference (only about 5 seconds of total travel time from one end of the map to another (the whole journey is about 14min))
(also keep in mind you can refill some the stamina after you unlock the calm option with bonding level)
.
so basically you can choose any horse+saddle combination, as long as you arent choosing the *absolute cheapest* options

Thank you for these tips and keep up the good work!👍
Hey your vids help a lot
I'm glad to here it!
I would recomend spending money on at least 1 horse in between the low level and max level. Go for lower role horses or the red arrabian.
I would say the Mustang is a fantastic horse to use too. Don't use the first couple horses either, the exclusive coats have better stats.
11 minute video that onlypvpcat would've done in 1min
