THANK YOU!! ✌️👑
Thank you so much for bringing TKOR back to where it works best, it has been years since I've seen any genuine from-the heart content from this channel. Cheers!
i will be honest, i stopped watching after Nate and Cali left as i didnt like what happened after they had gone but you sir brought me back it feels like im watching a reboot (in all the good ways!)
100% same
Foam swords are so nostalgic. Glad yall are bringing the fun and nostalgia back.
They battle with them every Tuesday in orem
Glad the tkor is going back to its roots ❤
My brother has made SO many of these. He's been part of the larping community for about 10 years now, and was taught how to make these by even older members way back then! It's amazing to see the exact same process being done on video!
I love this. Your energy is like an older brother or somethin, with a really neat project. Glad to see the channel evolving! Cool stuff!
This seems like a project that Grant would do.. Thanks for bringing back the spirit of TKOR!!
Reminds me of the good ol TKOR days. I'm glad this channel is reviving like the phoenix
@Tex_on_Tele.gr.am_YT_TKOR no
Love it
Finally, the channel is alive again. The thematology is right, and the new host has a lot of potential, once he gains some camera experience. Little advice, I think the thumbnail should be more focused on the finished product, and also you should have had 2-3 minutes at the end, showcasing the final build, instead of ending abruptly (I know this is kinda nitpicking, but I love this channel and I'm so hopeful for it's future. I just want to help any way I can)
Than you for the feedback! We are definitely focused on improving the OG format to bring back what TKOR is all about.
Love this idea. Show off the projects! Have a 20 second clip of some badass bros fighting each other haha. :)
Yes! Spread the good word of foam swords!
4:08 me trying to open up the McDonald’s/chick-fil-a sauce cups
You should’ve seen how long it actually took me… The edits made me look so much less ridiculous! -Jarom
Pro tip: fold the corner up where the tab is on the sauces, it makes it stick out more and easier to grab.
he may not be Grant, but I think he's the closest to him since Nate, not that people are easily replaceable, but from memories of the past he's the closest to Grant
No one will ever replace the OG King. Grant is my daily inspiration! -Jarom
The FRESH PRINCE of RANDOM
Thank you for doing this man really means a lot to the community
I’ve got your back! -Jarom
lol! I never build one, but I felt the need to watch the video till the end! Just like back in the day with Grant! Great job! Felt like the old TKOR
Omg thanks I love this Channel thank you so much for continuing the legacy and making it beter🥰🥰🥰🥰
My pleasure! -Jarom
I bet this will be an amazing video!
I am absolutely loving these new videos
Man I might need to get a foam sword again! Haven’t had one in YEARS!
Do it! You NEED it! -Jarom
Thanks this just brought back tons of good memoriess
I have a boffer I made at a convention that was simple to make. It has a pvc core and uses (among other things) a pool noodle, a yoga mat, and a foam ball. It was fun to make.
Thank you so much for bringing back the TKOR we all know and love!
A lot of LARPs use these. And this is honestly the best video Ive seen on their construction.
Thank you! I use these all the time and I’ve built so so many. I felt like it was time for a clear instructional video. -Jarom
Larp sword construction varies so much. I've seen many and built many larp swords over the years, This seems to be the newer standard style though. Not a fan of the fabric covers though, but rules vary by group.
This is awesome
There is something called a pool noodle here. It is also foam though a little less dense. But still OK for kids use I'd guess. Benefit. Already round. Less cutting and shaping. So faster sword. Downside: less construction time with your kid before you get hit with it 😂
Pool noodles are great for younger kids! Cheap and easy to build! They just don’t have enough impact resistance for adults to use them for very long.
Can confirm, I've been hit by plenty of pool noodle swords. This is essentially Level 2 of that.
Pool noodle bats are fun and VERY entertaining for younger folks. But adults hit harder, and pool noodles break down very quickly and can easily lead to injury. :)
Glad to see TKOR is finding its roots again. We are back as well!
Having 4 kids this will be an amazing project to do thank you so much and on a budget 😅 making memories last.
I’ve also got 4 kids and we have lots of memories using these! -Jarom
"we wanna kill our friends, but we dont actually wanna hurt anybody" possibly the best quote in the history of this channel
Love that you’re being back the cool weapon stuff like Grant used to do!
I’ll buy that crazy color sword!!!!
Foam Sword time! Heck yes!!
Love this!
And I love you too! -Jarom
Thanks to TKOR
In finland we call this boffaus, it is very fun, but not at all like Hema
In the USA, we call them boffers. Pretty similar! -Jarom
A buddy of mine in college made these and we would go down to the basement of the dorm and fight for hours. Good times 😆 The contact cement steps seem like they would be much easier with a disposable paint applicator.
Pretty sick man
that was fun and new.
A build video, like the old tkor days, thank you 👍
It’s my absolute pleasure! -Jarom
Good effort.
Nice, i just buy larping swords, but these work great for a homemade one! Thanks for the video, love this style, take your time filming these, quality over quantity.
Jarom I love your energy and it reminds me of Grant, I stopped watching since Cali and Nate left, but I always come in and check from time to time because as a fan and with respect for Grant, I never gave up on the channel. I've watched TKOR since the beginning of the channel, I've been watching your last 3 videos man and your energy and your projects remind me of Grant so much that it brought tears of joy to my eyes. Please keep going, and I promise you if you guys keep this up all of us OG fans will make sure to show love and support. And one day TKOR will be back to its former glory .
Can't wait to see the next video ❤
Next, tkor teachea us how to play jugger
Jarom! Good to see you, hope you're still on the field this summer!
I will be! -Jarom
Great to see you here Jarom!
Great to see you too! -Jarom
"They are totally legitimately used to hit people with, and that's where the fun comes in." -Yup, I like the new guy!
I've bee a subscriber since 2012. I'm so glad to see the channel seems to be going back to it's roots. I checked out all the videos with the new host. Something about this guys mannerisms reminds me of Grant. I will be keeping an eye out for new TKOR videos!
Back in highschool, I had a friend that made some foam swords out of golf club shafts and pool noodles.
Had mostly stopped watching this channel... Love the new host and am back to watching your videos!
Welcome back! -Jarom
Man, that’s I was looking for and I just wanted to do make like that and I definitely want to make training knight fighting for a dungeon, dragons and more knights, and how about shields and spears and armor?
It’s possible we’ve already filmed the shield video… it would be hard to prove though. -Jarom
Shields, spears, armor, etc. are all possible and very fun to make in this style!
Whose the new guy?
I am! -Jarom
I am loving these projects. Napalm Sword Next lol
Mwahahaha!!! That sounds amazing!! -Jarom
Congrats on the comeback of TKOR!!
You guys should do a colab with Nate from the internet (NFTI), that would be cool.....or is that going to far??
No shade on Nate! Love that guy! -Jarom
it's going to be a long slog to get this channel back to where it was, but this shit rules! keep up the great work guys!
Hey could you do one of a foam axe?
Don't forget about explosive stuff! It's a part of TKOR
Truer words have never been spoken. -Jarom
A couple things that would be nice to see for each project are an approximate time spent and cost of materials. I know cost would differ depending on where you source things from, but it would be good to know upfront before getting into a project.
Great suggestion! -Jarom
Damn I haven’t watch these guys in a long time! That is very cool also…
*now replace it with a katana blade*
The larping community call these boffers. Think buff but with an "o". There's ways to create a flat bladed version if you want.
I use pvc pipe and pool noodles cheap easy and super fast foam swords
Can you guys send behind the scenes of the “Modifying a Stomp Rocket to Launch a QUARTER MILE!” Video? 🧐
JAROM IS KING ❤🔥
Love you bro! -Jarom
Jarom rules like Ja Rule!
yo did they replace grace? nice
I WANT COMBAT SCENE!
You’ll get your wish, keep watching!
This vid reminds me of the show how its made
Try using eucalyptus oil to get the glue off.
Gasoline works too, but your idea is better. -Jarom
Dude just slide a pool noodle on a pvc pipe.
That's fun for kids, but Jarom's version is better suited for adults. Plus, they'll last 5+ years of battery with no maintenance.
ah yes, foam swords, a classic item from everyone's lives.
Does TKoR have a discord?
Who's this rigatoni ?
That’s a name I’ve never been called before… it’s kinda fun though. -Jarom
keep making videos it will take off again
So, is Grace done?
Note: done; not done for
Yep, her and TKOR parted ways. Wishing her the best!
the queen of random. done and dusted
Grace is working behind the scenes here at the King of Random and she’s got her own channel, Constantly Curious. Go check it out! -Jarom
I need to know if this guy has done Belegarth/Dagohir/Hearthlight/Amtgard
I run my own private group but we follow Bel rules for the most part. -Jarom.
Looks great! I hope you will continiue this job. And don't forget about metric units.
so a struggle stick from KH 2
Can I get a shout out to raise money for house of hope cancer awareness
Here’s a shout! -Jarom
Is Grace doing the king of random
Grace is working behind the scenes here at the King of Random and she’s got her own channel, Constantly Curious. Go check it out! -Jarom
Okay so…how about recreating the nerf foam swords…asking for a friend…and definitely not planning to make foam lightsabers…
So basically a sword like Roxas uses in kingdom hearts 2
When fighting with foam swords it turns out a foam staff is way better. Since you have taken away the cutting power of the sword
audio 🎉
Who the heck is this guy???😮 I like it this far but man.
I’m Jarom! Big nerd, friend of Grant, only a little crazy… -Jarom
who tf is this guy
Where’s Grace?
Grace is working behind the scenes here at the King of Random and she’s got her own channel, Constantly Curious. Go check it out! -Jarom
But you did hit stuff with them....
you... could have used a PVC pipe instead of a golf club?? aaand this looks more like a club soft ball bat then any sword??
Your idea is quicker and more cost effective. For sure. The golf club is lighter and more durable. Both are good depending on what you want.
😮
Little known fact: The actual sword known as Excalibur (yes, it was real), was made of foam. They were different times.
Hi
I mean i guess. It feels like you guys think that recasting will fix all your problems. Where's the fire or explosions or blow dart guns? Grant did stuff that appealed to everyone. Not just little kids.
Watch the video just before this. Napalm!! And we’ve got a great one coming up in the next two weeks that you’ll love! -Jarom
Where is Grace?
