Haukatuta i think buying clay is more worth it than 3+ hours because clay doesnt cost a ton and working for 3 hours and minimum wage is 15 dollars 3x15= 45 dollars way more worth it than wasting 3 hours for not alot
because when creating primitive technologies in the woods, i make sure to bring plastic buckets, metal strainers, a pressurized water system, sink, clamps, silverware, towels, rope, hose, class containers, and of course you can't forget your casper mattress! p.s. don't forget your nitrile gloves because you know... the dirt is very dirty...

I tried this a couple of times, and I got a very small amount of clay for a few reasons. The first was I didnt extract it from my local river. The second, was I was a little too impatient, and I didnt wait long enough for my water to separate from the clay. Now I am trying it again, but I got dirt from my local river, AND I will leave it for about a day for my water to separate. I will edit my comment tomorrow to see if it works. Wish me luck! (Rest in peace Grant.) Edit: I tried it again, and I got WAY more clay than last time. Last time I had a half inch of clay, now I have like 3 inches, which may seem a small amount, but its a significant amount.
@@mattbuszko nothing much, just played a bit with it and made like a mini bowl and put in the oven. It wasn't necessarily strong clay, it became really brittle and it broke in half the next day. I guess the area at my local river didn't contain as much clay. But it was a fun process anyway.
Really simple... mix high clay soil with water, wait 1 hour, poor through a filter mesh size = particle size, let dry in bucket.... I came to watch him over complicate a simple process... wasn’t disappointed
