Really enjoy the ‘Ancient’ ages content. What an interesting Levy heavy build for Syracuse. I run a jav warrior Italiote warband so I like the ability combos discussion. Glad you discussed mercenaries for max support. Well done Staks. Thanks Rodge!
Always a pleasure to listen to two Saga enthusiasts passionately debate the merits and challenges of a faction that, left to my own devices, I would never, absolutely never, have thought worth even the faintest flicker of interest ❤
This has been by far the most eye opening faction review I've ever watched, ever since Alexander came out I've thought of these guys as the really poor Greek faction, but your insight into their ideal play style and merc picks is very interesting
@@alexv1387no, presence does not help the warlord with the bonus attack dice cap of 1 for them, luckily, this ability does not grant bonus attack dice
Hetaroi is unaffected. The abilities used in Step 3 of melee have no stipulation on the number of models. Where it would have an impact is the Agema ability, see how it specifically says bonus attack dice? These are generated before Step 3 and you do have to pay attention to the number of figures in the unit for those.
Great review with Staks, it’s great to hear from people that play in different metas. You can always learn something. Cheers
Absolutely!
Awesome video Staks. You are a master warlord! Great stuff
Agreed!
Great video chaps! Excited for the Chivalry stuff to come around. It's a nice book and I adore the factions. The boards are super flavourful
Thank you!
Very interesting review. Levy javelin is a good unit, so it was illuminating seeing how this board can give them a nice boost!
Definitely!

Awesome! Whethere it's jav warriors and phalanx HG or jav levy and phalanx warriors, a lot of the ideas are the same! :)

Awesome, glad to hear!
The Italiotes look really fun to play! I'll definitely try them once my Greeks are painted!
Oh yeah! Just paint some extra peltasts and you're there!

Huzzah, so glad to hear! It didn't really go where I was expecting but I definitely see the magic now!
Aussies represent 🇦🇺
Indeed!
Hi,
Don't forget that the Italiot 'version' can field up to hearthguard 'spearmen', so you don't have to 'buy' the Greek mercenary hoplites.
Good point!
Shoudn’t „Hetairoi” give only one dice to the warlord? Because you can’t have more bonus attack dice than models in unit.
I'm pretty sure the Presence Rule would apply here
Hetairoi does not give bonus attack dice, bonus attack dice are those gained before the melee, usually from activation or orders abilities
