Thank you for showing this. I really appreciate it and the time you took to demonstrate this process. Excellent Craftsmanship! I have worn a 1 inch lift since 1996, due to a drunk driver hitting me head on and breaking my femur bone. I was trying to find how to make my own lifts because currently; it is costing $80.00-$120.00 per shoe lift plus, the price of the a good quality shoe. God Bless you and your work. Thank you for your demonstration. My 14 year old son has been diagnosed with a 2.5 cm lld on his left leg and has a prescription to have a 2 cm build up. Are there any brand of sneakers that you would recommend for this procedure that work best? Bear in mind a 14 year old is very style conscious and would like a nice looking shoe to start with.

I have an 8 year old daughter that requires a 2” build up on her left foot. I have had lifts done by four different cobblers and have been told that vans are a good choice and some say converse are hard to do. Hope that helps. I am in the process of trying to do this myself since it’s so expensive to have it done. Also if your child’s feet are different sizes vans are great because they let you get two different sizes as a pair.

I just purchased material off of Etsy so that I can try adding 1/4 inch to my sandals. Thankfully I can add that inside my shoes as it is costly. My PT clinic only charges $50 and I know that’s a steal. I’m crafty and like to try new things. Often I fail but at least I do try! And I always say I can live with my imperfections in sewing my own clothing

What's a good sandal, pool deck, lounge area, to add a lift?

    I
I've worn a lift for years on my right foot but know I am having trouble finding someone local to do the lift. Your work looks really good.
Think I,ll see what you have on your website.

@@bigal24698 thanks Alex. Do you know where I might be able to buy the EVA foam, contact adhesive, and shoe horn? What density would you recommend for athletic shoes? I'm relatively handy and I've got many years ahead of me where I'll need a 3/4" lift so I'd like to see if I could make my own to save money. I just bought two pair of shoes and after lifting them I was out $500 which is tough when you're disabled and living on a shoe string budget. Thanks for any advice you might be able to lend.
