  • Is one of your legs shorter than the other? Watch this video to learn how to fix a short leg!
0:00 Introduction: How to correct a short leg
0:15 Tight quadratus lumborum causes unequal leg length
0:55 Why is one leg shorter than the other?
1:05 Heel lift as a solution
2:00 Example of a short leg
    2:40 Short leg fix
In this video, we’re going to discuss how you can fix a short leg. There is a muscle in your body called the quadratus lumborum. This muscle connects the last rib to the top of the hip bone.
If the quadratus lumborum is too tight on either side, you may notice a leg length difference or a short leg. Tightness in the quadratus lumborum can be caused by a fall or injury, causing the muscle to spasm and tighten up.
A heel lift is not a viable solution for a short leg. In fact, lifting the heel can make the problem worse by driving the hip even higher.
Watch as I demonstrate some stretching techniques to fix your short leg. With my technique, we actually work on the long leg to make changes to the short leg!

I just did this. I though I needed a chiro adjustment. Thankyou heaps. I can't believe that's all it took. I have had this problem for atleast 13 years. Until now. I can't get over how simple it was. Thanks again doc, and also thanks to youtube for making it accessible for the masses.

I fell on my tailbone in childhood and have had one leg shorter/longer than the other for as long as I can remember. Being one month short of 69, the problems have been immense and getting worse, it feels, by the day. The Quad. Lumborum on both sides are often sore or go into muscle spasms and can be down right painful. You are a Godsend! Thank you SO much for this and all of your videos & for sharing your knowledge.

Because - it seems - most MD’s , are angry they ever went into healthcare because it is controlled by BIG RX . I think many of them get so apathetic that they just go along with the agenda : prescribe , prescribe, prescribe- and ignore , ignore, ignore. They’re mad they have to pay out so much malpractice insurance and stay up to date with insanely stupid policies etc.. which is exactly how the BIG RX’s want they system to go : keep everyone increasingly sick , make them broke and eventually kill off as much of the population as possible- while making it look like it is simply “poor health” as the cause.
Politicians and BIG Corporations (RX’s) need to be criminally investigated and charged

Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for this video! I have had quite a severe uneven leg length from the age of 10 until now. (I'm 31) it has gotten slightly better over the years but i still notice it when i walk, stand, etc.. i was given the option of having my leg surgically broken and then lengthened with screws and wires and as a child. Thankfully my parents regected the option and after watching this video i am so glad they did. I use to do tranpolining and have played sports a lot growing up. I've always felt that perhaps my hips were uneven and not my legs as the left side of my back feels incredibly tight to the point of pain. I am going to start stretching my leg 🦵🙌

In fact, my hips are now aligned correctly and the pain in the bad hip (longer leg), has massively improved. Thank you. Dr. Berg. I'm a Disabled Veteran after having both knees and left hip replaced ( right hip to be replaced) I ended up with my right leg almost 1" shorter resulting in lower back pain and sciatic pain that I control with Turmeric, my Orthopedist had me insert a 1 - 3/4" heel lift that did not work if I would walk all day it would push my foot forward resulting in a small blood blisters on my toes, as a result of all the surgery and leg length problems, In Feb I was walking in a store and I felt a big pop in my left ankle and could not walk it was very painful, a MRI showed a complete torn Achilles. I had severe pain and swelling from my calf to my toes, Because of my scheduled right hip surgery and the Achilles problem and age (64) they decided not to go with surgery so I've been seating with my leg elevated for 6 months with all the crap that one goes thru seating around for months ( with Therapy ) Its 7/29 I still have some control and feeling problems but I can walk and use stairs. I still have hip problems that will be evacuated on 8/9.
My concern is the leg length problem and I know that the Achilles, Back Pain, sciatic problem were caused by the leg length and over using each side of my body between surgery's WHAT COULD BE DONE ABOUT THE LEG LENGTH !!!!!!!.

YESSSS it is amazing but I do have to do those exercises every day. I didn't do for a couple of days and the pain came back, but let's say "another kind of pain", so I'm sure that little by little also with the help of massages I will be completelly healed. I'm a huge believer of natural medicine. First I go to the dr. for a diagnosis and after I do my research as I know by experience that my body can't take too much of the traditional medicines. So I help myself with the food and homeopatics.

❤️ *THANK YOU, DOCTOR. HE EXPLAIN GOOD IN LAYMAN'S TERMS* 👍🏽 I don't have functional leg length ... I am suffering a bit from a leg length difference that is due to my bone structure. On my right side its about an inch shorter than my left side. It was cause from a broken leg and it healed shorter. So I wear a shoe lift. ... But I feel it does not help, and I have difficulty exercising in the gym. I want to keep my stomach and body tune but don't know what types of exercises to do. *WHAT ARE YOUR SUGGESTIONS?

Hello, Dr. Berg. I was born with congenital hip dysplasia. I am now 57 years of age. My right leg is shorter than my left, I'm not sure about how much. I've had several hip surgeries as a child, mostly exploratory. I have no hardware in my hip and very skeptical about hip replacement. What would you recommend for me at this point?

To get the same length legs for ever, get Atlas Profilax done on you. Everyone have different lengt legs until this is done. I know a lady I helped get a pair of shoes with different heights. I asked why she did not use them and she had had it done. The difference on her was huge, like 4 cm or something. I had it done and I got a better body position and movement, no more pain in neck when lying down. One guy I brought to do it had such bent back/shoulders and he bacame completely straight after a while. It is truly amazing. Everyone should have it done. The Atlas is in wrong position unless your mother had it done before she had you - then it is straight.

You can put a hill lift in a shoe but something the hill lift could move around in your shoe, but it could probably balance you out

What should I do as I have an actual bone loss. Plus muscle and nerve damage. Will attempting this exercise help ? Or if it may exacerbate the pain I get? It’s 39mm loss of tibia with ‘dog leg’ union fibula. I’m 70 and had this for 50 years

Thank you for this vid. I am a bodybuilder and i think the heavy weights have cause the "spasm" in the right side, i checked the vid and i must say, i agree with the none lift on the shoe. I am going to try this pulling the long leg. What about other pulls, pushes or twists?. The back pain is real after walking or doing some exercises where i have to bend. Lower back pain, i know its not nerves, i know its not bones, its muscle pain. Good vid, thanks

My chiroprator said my left leg was qute a bit shorter than my left leg and show the difference in the x-rays by my pelvic being highter on the left side. He gave me a heel lift to put on my left side. Years ago a chiropractor I worked for also gave me a heel lift and Foot Levelers. Why don't most chiropractors don't know what you are saying and have you put the heel lift on the short side??? I will change the lift to the right side, what you say makes sense.
