I got liar's+caliban's class item nearly 2 months ago and I can't stop playing that build. However, this looks like a lot of fun and I'm excited to try it out tonight when I play. Thank you and keep up the good work!
It's weird but yes the aoe DOES jolt and since it is applied instantly it counts towards your super energy. The Initial hit of the gathering storm does not jolt but it basically jolts immediately after if I recall. So, enemies that die immediately do not generate super energy.
Just finished making my quesadilla and was like "Ah yes, time for dinner and a maven vid. Sure hope she's got one ready for me" Then boom "Posted 4 min ago" ❤️😋
1:49 I think what the exotic may be missing is something like “kills/hits with the lightning on cast refunds energy”. Considering it caps at 50%, like all the other super refund exotics, that’s probably the case
@@MavenPhoenix I was hoping those were just one offs, but like you said, it already is pretty damn inconsistent. Either way, I’m definitely going to use this build, looks really fun!
Hey Maven! I love your content it’s super informative and straight forward. Thanks for the hard work that goes into these videos. Can you please make a dedicated video about armor mods and weapons mods; whats worth using and what isn’t? I noticed in this build you used arc surges and the special finished. Isn’t it counterproductive to run surges with a yellow mod since the yellow mod consumes all armor charges? Thanks again
There's so many things that just auto debuff targets too. W/o even needing to get a kill. Things like Queenbreaker just blind for free. Can't wait to make a build around this exotic.
Reminds me of enjoying Raiden Flux way-back, like D1? Raiku Harness now feels like that, but better, like adding some Vesper-of-Radius w/splash of Battle Harmony.
The staff call down a lightning strike after a couple of seconds from initial impact. Thats what applies the jolt. The initial staff throw and impact doesnt. And yeah Ive tested it myself too, only the surrounding aoe lightning refunds the initial super energy.
I have to wonder if the check for whether or not to give you super energy off of general kills works similarly to the Gifted Conviction proc, and has a max distance that the target can be. Those hands-on orbs, even when stacked up, don't give as much energy as what happens in the video, so maybe it requires that you be within a certain range of the killed enemy to get the super charge.
Can we conclude what is the fastest addclear combination in easy content for Hunter? Arc with Raiju's Harness or Prismatic with Mask of Fealty? I think the latter is more reliable and less location-dependent. Currently the different builds are all taking away enemies anyway to get a super as quickly as possible
great build as always, but ive been addicted to ex diris with raiju, it blinds an jolts if you have the fragmen on, gets super back just as fast i think
I really do like this rework to the exotic but knowing what the rework was meant to do i wish they gave it the Falling Star treatment, the damage of the super is ok but somewhat lacklustre compared to some of the other supers in the game so giving the super more damage and the super regen would have helped it a lot
OMG i thought i'm the only one find out this happen, and when i told my friends they don't believe me lol.... now you prove it, and i think it's bug MAYBE
the problem with non prismatic builds is losing that prismatic damage weapon buff so youre dps is always gonna be lagging behind prismatic builds. Fast supers are fun but hopefully bungo boosts non prismatic damage by letting the super focused exotics allow a boost in element focused weapon damage
My only problem with this build is not the build itself, but Tempest Strike. Why does it suck so bad? I tried soo hard to make it work with this exotic because it's a very fitting ability for it. But it seems the classic Lethal/ComboB is still miles better, lol. Maybe one day Tempest Strike will be fixed/buffed
So, is this the best arc specific exotic armor for hunter now? I can't really think of anything else, maybe lucky raspberry. If I wanted to use a dedicated liars build, I'd use prismatic. There really is no reason to use arc hunter, is there?
Makes me think that Blight Ranger should’ve received the AoE effect when popping the super, cause logically speaking when will Gathering Storm getting an AoE make sense? If you pop it down at you as a panic pop, you would have already killed most of the enemies next to you anyway. At most, the Raiju’s buff could’ve made the radius of the super bigger by 50% and kills refund Super Energy. While Blight Ranger gets the AoE effect alongside a Super Energy refund buff for projectiles deflected.
Raijus used to be nuts in PvP when u could swap to it & it made whirlwind blade last for 6 months…😂😂😂 I’d literally block the other teams entire super lineup they’d throw at me The good ol days😅

Nah Llama and Maven gotta be timing it at this point

I've been a Raijus enjoyer since the season started. Getting your Gathering Storm back so often is so lovely.

Thanks for testing this Maven, and what a mess once again on Bungie's part
1:49 I think what the exotic may be missing is something like “kills/hits with the lightning on cast refunds energy”. Considering it caps at 50%, like all the other super refund exotics, that’s probably the case
That's not it, because I had multiple clips where I killed those large groups of goblins and got nothing back
@@MavenPhoenix I was hoping those were just one offs, but like you said, it already is pretty damn inconsistent. Either way, I’m definitely going to use this build, looks really fun!
If Bungie tested their game 1/10 as much as their players did, heck we might have a solid concept of a plan for Destiny in the next 10 years
yet another excellent build video from the goat of build videos

Yeah, the BIG problem is other people shooting your targets before you biff them.
There's so many things that just auto debuff targets too. W/o even needing to get a kill. Things like Queenbreaker just blind for free. Can't wait to make a build around this exotic.
Also, seemingly all "super refund" exotics are buggy af. Shards will give you half sometimes. Other times, if you miss one dagger, it gives nothing.
Reminds me of enjoying Raiden Flux way-back, like D1? Raiku Harness now feels like that, but better, like adding some Vesper-of-Radius w/splash of Battle Harmony.
Wasn't giving back enough Super when I tried it originally so I vaulted the build but I'll give it another chance. Cheers.
Looks so fun! Hunters have such sweet tech! Thanks so much for sharing!
Love your vids. So happy I found your channel

Hey Maven, love the vids, would you be able to do a video of the single best build for each class. I’d love to see your input on it.
There's a "best" build for each unique situation. There's not one definitive answer.
you make colors out of grey in the background, o god i love this song so much

I really liked the build, the only thing I didn't like was having to get so close to get energy back in the super.
Having the same issue with refunding super energy. I hope Bungie fixes it because this build could be a lot of fun if the bug is fixed.
Might have to run this until I can get Mask of Fealty
Add it to the mountain of bugs that came out with Revenant

This sounds like fun to try, Imma give it a shot.

Bungie really cooked with these last changes, hopefully this gets fixed soon along with ignitions!

OMG youre amazing and I must use this.
Edit: Damn. Thats the ONLY exotic I trashed. Gotta roll another. LoL
You get energy refunded is definitely from the exotic, however, I think the amount scales with what the rank of the enemy you hit.
It seems like it works like surrounded. But I would not run this without invisible anywhere enemies hit slightly hard.

I assume this build kind of falls off in endgame content. Guess you could use it as a swap build. But I'm really not a fan of swap builds.

This game is so stuffed at the moment, it's a joke! It was never like this when I started. It was pretty well balanced, but now is a freaking joke.
I love that there's so many options, but it can certainly be overwhelming.
