In hindsight, yes. But in reality, no. In Morty's eyes, he found true love. Nothing else mattered. He wanted it to be pure true unadulterated love. Did you notice how he didn't make a save point before talking to his new date? If he made a save point at any time, it wouldn't of been pure. Every time they would of had a fight, he could just go back not learning anything or evolving, hence the whole point of Morty's speech at the end. Life is not worth living for if you're always looking back, not forward. That's why he always thought about it, but never did it. Even when he found it at the plane crash he didn't want to use it, instead called for help because he wanted to try to do everything to preserve his pure life.

The part in this episode where morty got a girlfriend, and got in the plane crash with her,and tried to save her was very emotional for me,especially when combined with the music that was playing at the time.
Jerry didn't just grab a random device and point it at the TV. He actually dropped the remote. You can see it happen. He knocks it off the couch with his arms but it falls over the bag and lands behind it from his perspective at which point he looks to his side and just sees it fell into the bag as it's right on top there; or so it seems to him.
I just paid closer attention I didn’t notice that at first, but still those remotes look nothing alike at all... so he kinda did just grab a random device and point it at the tv, because there is no way you could think that’s the same remote

I really like the part when Morty has given a choice if he would rather continue to risk his life and call for help or rather he would restart the whole situation immediately all over again. He choose to continue instead because he don't want to immediately lose her, he wanted to continue loving a person that also did loved him back without the help of Rick or Rick's gadget. Instead of just restarting their whole relationship from the very beginning and facing a person who he did fell in love with but didn't even know who he is.

I see this as no different from handing a child a loaded gun but telling the child it's a toy. Go shoot whoever you want, kid, it's completely safe. Oh, by the way, is there anything you want to ask me about it? No?
Bang, someone's dead.
Hey, my hands are clean. You could have asked me if I was a liar. But you didn't. So that's on you.
A great way to traumatize a dumb kid. And make that kid never trust you again.
the event they referenced was a rugby team that crashed in the alps and had to survive for 72 days, they made a movie about it called Alive
Jerry hitting the button hit hard the first time I saw it, but it hit so much harder when his girlfriend came back because the probabilities merged, which meant she remembered their relationship again. And she showed up just long enough to see him jump into the vat.
It wasn't that she remembered but that that all the possibilities merged meaning it did technically happen. She was his girlfirend and experienced everything even though Jerry "possibly" reset everything at one point. Everything technically happened as that's why everyone was still upset with Morty at the end.
8:58 that laugh....i thought it was nanno's laugh dammit🤣😂
Oh I've been waiting for y'all to get to this episode!!!
I wasn’t expecting those costumes 😂 Nice one 👌🏻
Once you finish RnM, please react to Bojack horseman.. this animation was nominated for emmy too.. and this show runs by adultswim like RnM and one of the best animated show like RnM, family guy, Simpsons etc.. 6 seasons 12 episodes.. dark depressive comedy genre.. its about a horse with mental issues like depression and childhood traumas which affects his daily life and makes him asshole like Rick..
this episode hit kinda emotionally.
Morty had this very real and deep relationship that was going so well... and he didn't save his place once? I call shenanigans!
It was made into the movie "Alive". They crashed in the Andes in the 70s. Crazy story. I had to watch it in summer school.
When you love the reactions so much you go back and watch previous videos.
When Morty knocks the old man out of his wheelchair, the building behind them resembles Moes Tavern from The Simpson's. Also, during the plane crash sequence, one of the characters has the same clothes are Stan from South Park, and Morty wears an orange jacket like Kenny.
Interesting, since Rick even references Futurama
it was the Uruguay rugby team, that crashed in the mountains, made a movie about it called 'alive' from 1993, might be a cool watch as well, ps thanks for these R&M reactions, binged them!

Us viewer reactions: *thumbnail*
The book was called Alive: The Story of the Andes Survivors, there was at least one movie based on it called Alive. Yeah, an Uruguayan rugby team went through hell to live. Goes to show you that any person will go lengths to survive. I was pretty sad at this episode. Every time you saw that "save at this point!" line go out, you knew where he'd go back to then at the end, it just kept getting worse with that cool girlfriend as he accidentally saved at worse and worse times. Ouch...fucking Jerry.
I'm going to miss you guys reacting to this. Hope new episodes come soon.
Alive was such an amazing movie. Haven't watched it in 20 years probably but it was spectacular.
This is why you make the occasional manual save, people!
Ever since I saw this episode, I've been waiting for you folks to get to it. :D
I live in Germany... It's four AM right now... I love your vids and I'm drunk af right now
You could hear her heart break when gerry reached for the thing 😆
It wasn't a soccer team, it was a rugby team
Yes this episode won an Emmy. Sadly, it beat out “the way from halfway down”.
That reminds me, you guys should watch/react to Bojack horsemen
Are you talking about the episode from the final season of BoJack Horseman? If so, that's a shame because that episode was definitely better than this one in terms of overall story, in my opinion. I loved this episode of Rick and Morty so I guess I can see why It won. this episode was very funny and unique. Also, that whole portion with Morty and his girlfriend with no dialogue was so good.
Also to Archer
@@danteisnotkoold4611 Yes, that’s the episode I was referring to. I really love this episode as well and think it’s genius but I don’t think it deserved to win over “The Way from Halfway Down”.
I love Rick and Morty but Bojack Horseman is on another level. Rick and Morty is just way more well known.
@@adamvialpando106 Agree completely. They're very different shows. I think the Best Animated Series emmy is a bad category to be honest. BoJack and R&M (especially BoJack) are as good as anything that's been on TV the past ten years. They should've been competing on the same playing field.
The movie she is talking about is called Alive, it's a pretty old movie. Like, 80's or 90's? Based on a true story like she said. Great movie, give it a watch!
Watch Gravity Falls whenever you can. The show writers are friends and there is alot of Gravity fall references in Rick and morty
Morty should have saved before going on the plane..
Morty wasn't even using that remote right.
Even if it really *was* a save point remote, you're supposed to save after every success and before every risk so you don't have to redo everything all over again.
1. Should have saved after the first date.
2. Should have saved after making up after that big fight.
3. Should have saved *before* getting on a plane.
4. Should have saved after being rescued and reuniting with his girlfriend.
5. Should have saved after recovering from his injuries.
If you're going to savescum, then at least do it right!
I just watched another reaction video to pickle Rick so seeing that suit and the pickle Rick callback is great
I dig your costumes guys so cool and im 53 lol.
I miss when you guys got drunk to watch this show LOL
Was a rugby team from Uruguay, they crash on the cordillera de los Andes beetween argentina and chile. They stayed stranded for 60 days. There is a movie calles Alive
There was an actual 1993 movie made about the soccer Team that crashed in the Mountains, the movie is called 'Alive'
If Morty REALLY wanted to stay in that life,
he would have removed the batteries.
u think rick would use a battery system for the device?
Rick is the pettiest bastard on the show! Lol
Love you two! Just signed up for your patreon.
If you guys didn't notice when he flips the old man out the wheel chair he's outside a nock off a Moe's tavern
Omg, I can’t wait... y’all know what I’m talking about
7:54 she's a woman of culture, she knows the case of Los Andes 👏
It’s called alive the movie your talking about and yes the people who survived we frowned upon and they got the pope to exonerate them so that they could technically be excepted by God and heaven because the people were of catholic religion it’s a pretty compelling movie definitely a good watch but sad
My mom actually read the soccer story of them when she was younger and told me about it how it made news for a while....I believe it was the Andes Mountains
Anthony cracks me up as Pickel Rick! 😂
Love the costumes! Very cute! Happy spoopy season!
It was a rugby team in 1972 and two movies were made about it.
9:55 Awwww, Kaycee looks like someone punched her in the gut. Beautifully genuine reaction to a really sad moment!
2 more episodes! It's bittersweet because I'm excited to see what you think of the finale, but then it's gonna be over! 😭
Also I am going to suggest again, and probably not for the last time, that you react to Avatar the Last Airbender 😎😁
The movie about the rugby team not soccer that crashed and got stranded is called Alive
I love this episode so much
The book or movie about the Uruguayan rugby team plane crash in the Andes where the people on the flight resorted to, um, intraspecies protein reallocation to maintain metabolic function, or, if you prefer the less polite, cannibalism, is called Alive.
In fact, I would be interested in ya'll's reaction whilst we await Season 5 of Rick and Morty.
couple goals
Think how easy it'd be for Rick to go back to '98 to get "THAT McNUGGET SAUCE," that's how much he doesn't respect time travel.
