Did the vehicle have little power when driving? I have a 2005 Taurus with this engine and have cat codes for the rear bank but the car has no power on any type of incline.
Currently experiencing this issue, I lose fuel pressure then my cats get to 1600 degrees, bank 2 runs rich and cylinder 6 misfires and 3. Mine has 73400 miles so cats just don’t seem like the issue. I would think this is an injector

there was no apparent loss of power. You might try a full tune up and O2 sensors first
Fuel system in my 99 sable gave me this issue. Put some jet fuel in and burn that ethenol out
