A man and his craft supporting his family, satisfying customers, he's enjoying his work and people benefit all the way around, and he thanks God for it all and knows he's blessed.....what more could a man ask for? Nicely, done, Sir.
@cyberbeer65 I was about to add a comment about the pronunciation until I saw yours. 🙂 I can understand how Bob made the error. If you're not from that area or aren't familiar with it, it would be easy to mispronounce it. It reminds me of some Texas locales that non-locals mispronounce (e.g., Quitaque & Gruene are pronounced Kitty-kway & Green).
This is originally America was known for lots of Mom and pop restaurants didn’t care if it was a diner, café, etc. and it’s kind of sad thanks to the pandemic we lost a lot of those but there’s some new ones sprouting up. It just takes time but some of the ones that you remember from your childhood or even just your early years as an adult are gone but it’s nice to hear there are some people that are willing to roll up their sleeves and work hard.

That's the full blessing there. Asking God for a talent, a passion, a profession and getting all three.
It's a wonderful spot with great food and even better help....feels like home. So glad to see him get recognition for a job well done.
Great story. It's 3:AM & watching all the food cooking has made me hungry. Gotta see how far to Flint from Ft.Worth
Love it - It can still be experienced in TEXAS - The American Dream is still ALIVE... from SE Texas Bear love this show for over 50 years!
All of that food looks so delicious 😛😋😘
Dang, I'm craving some home cooking now. This place is under two hours from my house.
Love it! Eat there a few times a month
I lived in Flint from about ‘85 to ‘95. I wish that cafe was there back then. We did get a Dairy Queen and that was a big deal.
I love his story and dedication to his family and home town!
It's pronounced MAC-IN-AW Island, in my great home state of Michigan.

Looking yummy and a great place to eat.
Lovely place. Food looks good. Want to move there and go eat there every day.
If you did that, you'd explode!
@@Andrew_Erickson ---Daily doing a hard workout at the gym, and all would be well. 😁
