While some things are real, it is implied that some are just the protagonist's imagination, and her way of facing her fears(also notice how the monsters are all deformed), and her dog being "the loved one she needs to save"and at the same time, she saves herself, if that makes sense. And some fun facts:"in vivo"is a method that is used to treat anxiety(I used it too), by forcing you to face your own fears in a direct way;"Sotiris"comes from the greek"Sotiros"and means"saviour".
this game deserves an award.. the way its building the tension, the soundtrack/ambient, atmosphere, the monsters, the places etc were so scary.. I felt uncomfortable for the whole game.. the best thing I adore for this game was the atmosphere so disturbing
I can't remember much I've experienced that sent more chills up my spine then when I whistled for my dog and instead of distant barking, I heard the shadows whistle back at me
In an ordered way, you go through : -The sewer (notice the radio playing some tech music and getting jammed by an unsettling static noise, in Silent Hill the radio makes this sound when a monster is near.) The nightmare truly starts when you face the "Eyeless Hobo" and you have to go through the lurid rusty part. You face a dog (yours?) and get projected into a even more nightmarish room with threatening dogs. Once the greater one reaches you, you instantly get into the saving room. -The "Royal Phantome" subway : Beginning in a "clean" gutter (by night?) that leads to a maintenance tunnel, you can notice that the music is peaceful before entering the subway. Getting your dog taken away by a subway coach, notice that the billboards have ads dealing with food diet. You "open" the station which calls another train which takes you to the next one. The protagonist wonders who drives the train. Interesting to know : although the first automated subway opened in 1983 and the game taking place in 1987 according to a sheet it's hard to know whether the train is automated and "opening the station" calls another one or it's a mysterious "phantome" [or ghost] driver. At this point the stations are empty and filthy, looking abandoned for several weeks since the vending machines still work for some of them. Notes tell you that technicians struggled with all kinds of breakdowns. The day waked (seen through the entrances and the tunnel under what seems like a sideway (blue lights and city sounds)) and you are resetting the power, making you encounter monsters (btw : After cutting off power at the gates, you are forced into the tunnel since there is no electricity, but the gates are small enough to theorically allow you jumping / climbing over). The next train you take is 0/10 hygiene rated with blood and dead mice/rats on floor but at least, you can admire colored lights through the window, making everything even more senseless. The train disappear and you end the travel walking along the rail track. -The "Great Bullim Avenue" station : An older subway station which makes even less sense, making you diving a bit deeper into the madness of the place. The bloody organic chandelier swinging over you, the heads puzzle, the fake trains eating you widen the gap between you and reality. After escaping the station and crawling through a sewer-like area, you encounter a fake saving room, the game itself is tricking you "erasing" your save. You face then the Shoggoth it is unbeatable, even by emptying your magazine shooting it. -The "Bullimic Puzzle" : Now you are facing a puzzle that makes you trying overcoming your fears/doubts through several steps. Eating the apple summons bars blocking the exit unless you throw up : the bars are fictional, you can pass through them. Failing to do so and the puzzle punishes you, otherwise you get rewarded with pickable ammunition. (In real life, some mental hospitals treat anorexic patients by taking their freedom unless they eat, reaching "reward" tiers, remember that you are going through an "in vivo" therapy) The baby is a cameo of Silent Hill PT where you find a disturbing baby in the bathroom after looping several time through the corridor. -The Mines : Being saved by an entity before a train colliding with you, you walk again along a railtrack, encountering a closed station in the style of the "great phantom subway" one. Once in the mines you have to get each piece to unlock a door. Notice the "peaceful" room with a desk and the technician note, the mines might be in fact a probing operation before expanding the subway system. Once escaping you land into a weird lab. -The "Nezumi testing" facility : "Nezumi" is a Japanese word meaning "a mouse". Furthermore, some letters are underlined, making the word "Nesting". You are trying to escape the laboratory as you discover the gruesome experiments of the Dr. Piccinini (whose the corpse gets back to life and then run away from you at the exit). -The "Warehouse" : You encounter a weird statue named "Sotiris" (meaning "savior" in greek). Do not touch it or it instantly kills you. Keep it in your field of view or it disappears and reappears each time closer, in front of you. Once in the elevator, the fake credits roll and sotiris tries to reach you. The elevator then falls, leading you to the next step of the game. -The "Siren's lair" : The siren is a large creature that chases you on each step. You repel it twice with electric current and water and you kill it the third time with a great metal gate. -The ending area : Just a tunnel with hard-to-beat enemies. Notice that each time one gets closer, a static noise plays, same as in Silent Hill. The worst ending : You give the tree the required object (I don't remember) and once out of the sewer, you land in a kind of hell. The world is collapsing, the apocalypse is beginning. The best ending : You exit the sewer with your dog.

that game was so special. Akuma Kira is particularly good to make games with strong nostalgic vibes. like a first-person Silent Hill game more or less. it's just a shame there's no final boss which would represent the fears of the prota', amalgamated, it would make some ending more satisfying. otherwise i am a gun amateur and here's the lore of the firearms seen ingame: the "damaged" pistol is a Ruger Mark, and it's hard to say which exact variant it is. possibly the MKII variant , given the form of its front sight and its barrel length (of about 7 cm). it's from a series of american-made pistols made since the end of the 1940s by the society of the same name , based about the japanese Nambu pistol. it is strange that the handgun is presented ingame as broken while it still clearly (and fortunately) functional. the pistol is well fitting to the game underground environments, possibly to show how physically weak the game prota' is and the 22 long rifle anemic bullets it use are not as loudly intense as 9mm or 45 Auto when fired . plus Ruger has stopped to made the MKII since the mid 2000s (to be replaced by new modernized variants), reinforcing that nostalgic vibe . the pump shotgun is a Remington 870, a popular shotgun made since the 1950s, with slightly short barrel (18 cm). fire special rock salt cartridges unlike other shotguns in games which fire 12 gauge, since the rifle is supposed to be a police variant, which make sense to lightly wounds criminals and thugs. there's another shotgun as a bonus gun, it's a generic Double-barrel rifle (possibly a Stoeger or a Iver Johnson) which fires 12 or 20 Gauge this time , making it the most powerful gun in the game (and also making it much less healtier for the prota' hears) it's a reference to Evil Dead. hope you enjoyed reading me. sorry if there's some faults.

@@Boykofan that's what I like abut Akuma Just like In spooky's house of jumpscares It's the use of rough graphics and the inhumane- pulsinating music they use that gives you a feeling of hopelessness and tension. And he doesn't throw it at your face like other horror games do, it slowly escalates
This game reminds me of the fear called Claustrophobia, the fear of tight spaces. Notice how almost every space in the game (such as sewers, train tunnels, etc) is enclosed? Maybe the game was based off of it. I’m not sure, and I don’t have claustrophobia, but this game gives me chills.
it's based on the self esteem (in relation with the exterior beauty) and the stress in general to not be liked by others but there are much stories in the same game and different problème with psychological problem, but it's true that the space is tigh and there are a lot of corridors and pipes so, i think that we can considered this like a form of stress (sorry if i'm not clear in my words T.T)

the pump shotgun is a Remington 870, a popular shotgun made since the 1950s, with slightly short barrel (18 cm). fire special rock salt cartridges unlike other shotguns in games which fire 12 gauge, since the rifle is supposed to be a police variant, which make sense to lightly wounds criminals and thugs.
there's another shotgun as a bonus gun, it's a generic Double-barrel rifle (possibly a Stoeger or a Iver Johnson) which fires 12 or 20 Gauge this time , making it the most powerful gun in the game (and also making it much less healtier for the prota' hears) it's a reference to Evil Dead.
hope you enjoyed reading me. sorry if there's some faults.
Love seeing playthroughs like this. Been trying to find one of this game that doesn’t have the annoying commentary that ruins the experience. Very well done.
But the annoying commentary is what we really liked back then.
What happened to us?!
@@Nsodnoajdjksl are you sure? there's no commentary videos from years ago, i don't think we changed a lot. i understand what your point is though, i'd do anything to go back to 2014-2016 youtube commentary
@@冞 yes, we did change a lot, drastically.
This game truly triggers the fight or flight instincts, i feel ashamed it took me 5 years to find something this good
So far I’ve enjoyed this play through
the music is excellent and the atmosphere is exactly what you'd want in a horror game
This is like a spiritual successor to Cry Of Fear
Soundtrack is inspired by silent hill
Good lord why can’t triple A horror devs do this type of horror properly? Silent hill was the only series to ever do it for me like that and this game too, really wanna see what the developers can come up with next
I just found this channel and I love it now. Subscribed.
I know the game is based from the old silent hill games but the most it reminds me of if silent hills with old graphics and elements from sh2 and 3
very nice horror game that made me kept nervous and scary even I watched walk through gameplay a hour.
Part 1: 0:00 - 1:00:24
Part 2: 1:00:24 - 1:39:17
Part 3: 1:39:17 - 2:22:45
Part 4: 2:22:45 - 2:40:50
Part 5: 2:40:50 - 3:13:11
This game is just too cool, makes me hope for a new silent hill game on the ps5 even more.
Legit one of the best channels I found
I’m writing a essay on this game for English
@GentleGamers probably got an F
2:27:30 that was so tense and the good boy appear. I was so relieve.
1:08:50 "Examine", "Gross", "Disgusting". Player: "Die, ugly whatever it is!".
Later in 1:09:39 "I'm so ugly", "Nobody wants me". The Player: "You're damn right". And hammered it again hahaha love it
I love the enemies' concept in this game. Really creative.
such a nice call back to silent hill days so unnerving
*Plot twist: The protagonist is John Wick willing to do anything in order to save his dog.*
*John wick in silent hill*
Great game, I was having a good time until I got to the rat god. Killed me and ate my eyes. I haven't worked up the nerve to come back and finish the game after that, lol
Ketsui I think your talking about sotiris he hits you over the head and game over
Edit: Found out I can stream through VLC and set an audio delay, awesome playthrough so far.
Would love to watch, but I noticed a half-second of audio de-sync about 24 minutes in, and it threw me off.
9:19 when he swung at the grate I nearly had a heart attack😅
All this for a puppy
Totally worth it
better than living with intense guilt for the rest of your life.
There was a movie that two guys tries to rescue their kitten from a gang.
Like The Darkness
f the protagonist actually knows whats gonna be inside the hole. then he probably will gtfo outta there and buy a new dog. unless your pyrocynical
1:30
When I open this fusuma sliding door, there is another hallway.
Thank you so much ungodly for play all these horror terror games
It is my pleasure. We're in October so we should see some good ones this month.
@@ungodlyoh yeah! wonderful!

This "inventory bug" freaked the SHIT out of me o_o That is so fucked up and clever. Well done scare...
Hey mate, this playthrough is amazing, brilliant stuff! Would you mind if I used some of your footage for my review on this game? I'll credit you both in my video and in the description? Many thanks for your time!
Sure.
9:14 HOLY SHIT MY DOG STARTED BARKING IRL AFTER THAT WHISTLE BECAUSE SOMEONE KNOCKED AT MY FRONT DOOR
That’s insane
😂😂😂
I love your videos especially the no commentary seeing all these youtubers overacting while playing games is annoying and takes the immersion out of the gameplay for me. keep it up~
Thanks ^-^
12:57 you were really on edge huh HAHAHA me too man, I'm just as alert as you were when you were playing.
Akuma Kira doesn't fuck around, this game rules.
hahaha 8:42 that was amazing, i somehow felt it was going to happen and it did!
Good gameplay, i just wish there weren't so many glitches and choppy AI
I hate every second of this in the best way possible. I dread every second because I don't know what to expect and the atmosphere is creepy as fuck
Bruh, I found this game in 2024.❤
Lost in vivo makes me remember condemned criminal origins
This game is terrifying
Would grab the music as an industrial album.
such an amazing game
26:45 That’s me! :D
what an amazing game
omg even trains try to kill you when you have Claustrophobia
the survival horror genre is so nice
No way i watched all of it! Good gameplay
Me: Shows up for spooky vibes
Ungodly: Torments me with mobile game ads every 5 minutes
Thank you for not running your trap every 5 seconds at 100 mph
sometimes u just gotta have da gaem with all its cool stuff shown without somebody talkin and showin their face in da corner. That's you, good fellow 💜
"Give me back the Corgi, and nothing and/or nobody has to get hurt... Actually, scratch that; you took my Corgi, so EVERYONE is getting Sledgehammer Tickles.
How MANY tickles you're going to get is solely dependant on how much anger and frustration I have to vent.
Think about it for a second, and then start running, squirming, or whatever you do to quickly get a move-on, because now you're stuck in here WITH ME."
If my dog died i would play this game to remember all the good times we've had together..
I saw a face in the start of the sewers from IMSCARED and (I think) NIGHT BLIGHTS
looks like John Wick really wants his dog back
Sound's slightly desynced at times but other than that, great job
great video i love it
glad I found your channel
Thanks for stopping by!
Good job Ungodly🙏👍™
It feels like silent hill with a little bit of that spooky's house of jumpscares feel sprinkled ontop
@@Boykofan that's what I like abut Akuma
Just like In spooky's house of jumpscares
It's the use of rough graphics and the inhumane- pulsinating music they use that gives you a feeling of hopelessness and tension.
And he doesn't throw it at your face like other horror games do, it slowly escalates
@Rando I don't know honestly
Just played through the game myself for my channel. such a good game! Glad to see that there is a lot of extra to do also!
I kind of get "cry of fear" vibes from this game as well as silent hill.
one main similarity between the two are Book Simon and the Eyeless Hobo
Its the same dev of Spooky Jumpscare mansion and akuma kira's dayoff paina game ;)
Bro imaging walking down a train track and a trains beats you up haha
Awesome dude
