At this point the only thing separating modern metalcore and modern post hardcore is whether it's being played on a seven string or not and I am completely fine with that
I mean you've got modern Metalcore taking influence from Post-Hardcore and modern Post-Hardcore taking influence from Metalcore. So good like trying to differentiate between the two 😂
sounds killer man!! currently in a writing block right now unfortunately, i love your style and it would be nice to learn about your approach to writing riffs particularly djent/prog :D
It's cos the post-hardcore gen z grew up on were the late 2000s - 2010s bands like Sleeping With Sirens, Emarosa, Choidos, Hands and Like Houses, Dance Gavin Dance (swancore genre) etc and by the 2010s they all have some metalcore influence. They don't sound as emo or as OG hardcore punk as older groups from 90s or early 2000s but they're stylistically more post hardcore than actual metalcore bands like Spiritbox etc.
So is modern cuz = Posthardcore + Djent + Tim Henson solos with a broken finger? JKings aside i really liked the song, gj buddy. Still not enough to create a new sub sub sub genre PS: Your guitar is beautiful!
love the SLIDEY LICK
YES

nowadays post hardcore is just metalcore
I'd love to see what your plugin setup is like. I have BIAS FX but I'm having some trouble finding the right guitar tone for post-hardcore.
For this video I used gojira neural dsp
So is modern cuz = Posthardcore + Djent + Tim Henson solos with a broken finger?

Man, this isn't post hardcore, in any way. I know it's supposed to be modern but this is just metal core with math rock influence.
You described it so perfectly.
Please give a tone tutorial
post post hardcore
Post hardcore is just heavy Anime/Jrpg battle themes honestly.
I'm pretty sure this is post modern hardcore😉
i love perfect drums (definitely did not pirate)
still prefer slate drums
it's illegal to play this clean
What effects your using in intro not pure distortion right 0:26 thank you
FabFilter Pro R
