Dinglie Danglie Doodle that is so true, if only someone could recapture the glory days in the 90's, but on a side note my favorite game op till this day, that hit my feels is Chrono Cross, Legend of dragoon, FF8..
Nothing compares to old games 💔 Content had meaning. People didn’t have the skills they have today to invest it mainly on graphics and multiplayer features. They had no choice but to focus on characters and good stories. Now no one cares. Games are selling just fine half assed so why bother.
Really wish SE would remake it for hand-held like they did Final Fantasy Tactics and Star Ocean. One of the best games I ever played. Hell, it even had good multiplayer, which simply wasn't even a thing in RPGs back then.
Exactly!! You have a great point when you mention fantasy and beautiful landscapes. Some people do say that songs can make or break a game, and LoM does that so well I can remember exactly how those amazing days were.
its such a hard and complex game to beat and i have never ever finished it same goes for another classic crono trigger. they sure made games really good back then
I have to say that I could never get into any of the Seiken Densetsu/Secret of Mana games, but when Legend of Mana came out it positively blew me away. Not the least of which was the fact that it hits you with this really beautiful song and imagery immediately after a bit of an intro (actually, a very unique way of starting the game I don't think I've seen in hardly anything else before or since that.) But of course this would be meaningless and forgotten if the game itself wasn't amazing and it really was wasn't it? Unlike so many others, it had all these terribly detailed stories with characters you learn more about with each new story segment. Why more games don't do this I just don't know.
Best Mana game for me, it didn't have linear story, it had 3 separate stories + many side quests. But the moment i did everything, i wanted more... I wished that game never end.
God... I am so gonna play the game again and getting amazed again :D There are just so many things 2 do, when I was younger I even cried cuz I didn't knew what 2 do lol XD
This video summarizes the infinitely big gap of competence between Squaresoft and Square Enix. No single title SE ever made was able to even live up as a shadow, let alone a worthy title.
@olddrunkstyle late response, but yea surely 1995-2000 was a golden age for games. They were focused on fun rather than graphics like most games these days
Way better then Secret of Mana. I hate when people think I'm talking about that game when I mention this one. I know they are "related" but this game is way better.
@Dan55888 LoM is a game more focused on graphics and presentation than game design. It's outstanding in terms of visuals and music, but it comes up short compared to its predecessors as far as gameplay/game design/story/characters are concerned (especially Seiken Densetsu 3.)
Sad that u lost it. The Jumi story is the best (at least the characters are) but for some reason I never finish it (got that jeweled city like twice), I always follow the dragon story
I feel as that the games nowdays are hollow, and with no fun at all, i own a lot of consoles, but the consoles from today, i barely touch them, all there is today are shooters, even FF are getting in this line of work,no Fantasy in Final Fantasy....
nop like i sayd in the legend of mana ending Legend of Mana is the best game why ,because the gameplay the graphics THE MUSIC AND THE HISTORY i look in the game the how long it is graphics and evrething and you all noticed the moral of the history... iven i cant say my filings.
@countrybluegrass OK wasn't comparing it to SD3. I personally think its way better then SD3 still but I was moreso comparing it to crappy XBox360 games which are all brain dead shooters with gritty "real-life" graphics with very little substance. LoM is a very open game with many options and a branching story-line, I agree its not the most intense story but it is very varied and fun.
I don't think games nowadays can invoke feelings like these with their openings, if they even have an opening that is.

This was the first game I ever fell in love with.
Really wish SE would remake it for hand-held like they did Final Fantasy Tactics and Star Ocean. One of the best games I ever played. Hell, it even had good multiplayer, which simply wasn't even a thing in RPGs back then.
i miss this game.. D': it was 5 years ago when i last played this game and finished it.. i want to have my playstation again and play this!!!!
man 10 years ago this was THE way to begin a game!
I had no. Idea. That this was in Swedish. That explains SO MUCH.
This is Alvin Philip Calunod. This game and its opening song gives colors in my head. This childhood game is what I miss the most.
Such a great game, this music is so beautiful!
Great soundtrack, great art on this game.
It brings me back a lot of good memories.
I miss playing this game. I recently moved and it is in a box somewhere in storage. My favorite piece was the Jumi story...they were just epic.
I still play this on my ps1.
such a great classic :D
Exactly!! You have a great point when you mention fantasy and beautiful landscapes. Some people do say that songs can make or break a game, and LoM does that so well I can remember exactly how those amazing days were.
I love this game. We need a remake!
its such a hard and complex game to beat and i have never ever finished it same goes for another classic crono trigger. they sure made games really good back then
a new FF comes out every two or three years, and all of them are very similar.
This is one rare pearl of square.
This opening sequence is just amazing.
Hard to believe that something this good was from the original Playstation.
such a good game... my big sister usually hates game but this game made her played n finished it...
This game evokes so much nostalgia OMG...

Best end of the world sequence ever
eu Salvei o jogo na época que eu o jogava, com todas as misoes compridas e com minha arma no nivel maximo e minha personagem tbm, ADORO saudades
Esse jogo foi muito épico, bons tempos.
Just seeing that world crumble in the video, makes me want to play the game and fix it AGAIN!
この映像観ながらの この歌がいいんだよね
リマスター版楽しみ!
God... I am so gonna play the game again and getting amazed again :D
There are just so many things 2 do, when I was younger I even cried cuz I didn't knew what 2 do lol XD
Best RPG in history
I am so glad that I got this song for my ipod :)
i don't know.........but looking/Listening to this has me practically on the verge of crying just for that reason.
When I first time played this game, I was shocked to the core from this opening, since I'am swedish myself!
Fan, va det rockar fett! XD
I play this game on an emulator. I've been having so much fun doing all the quests. The music is so beautiful *sniff*.
my childhood ;(

bara älskar denna sången =)
so many good memories! :D
I love this game
Epic game! I spent months playing it.

i've been looking for this game everywhere! but i can't find it DX
I heard that the singer is swedish. She sings well.
I find the part with the mailbox to be amusing.
Sad that u lost it. The Jumi story is the best (at least the characters are) but for some reason I never finish it (got that jeweled city like twice), I always follow the dragon story
You can play it on any PSX emulator. It is just a matter of finding one on Google.
Even though it wasin't a true sequel it was still a good game.
Now if only it was 4 player co op...
Great Game
Totally agree with you!
@yukiharvestfans i completely agree... that is exactly what i feel...
@KashimZero Annika Ljungberg från Rednex, jag trodde också det var Carola först, men så var det inte.
I feel as that the games nowdays are hollow, and with no fun at all, i own a lot of consoles, but the consoles from today, i barely touch them, all there is today are shooters, even FF are getting in this line of work,no Fantasy in Final Fantasy....
I HATE HATE HATE THIS OPENING... the song is in Swedish and I'm Swedish... aw man this lyrics haunts me in my dreams...
Why
I think I heard someone say it was Swedish, but I could be wrong.
It is
nop
like i sayd in the legend of mana ending Legend of Mana is the best game
why ,because the gameplay the graphics THE MUSIC AND THE HISTORY
i look in the game the how long it is graphics and evrething and you all noticed the moral of the history... iven i cant say my filings.
Square Enix..........what the fuck happened to you?
Nothing happened to Square Enix. The problem is that Square Enix happened.
they dont make'em like this anymore....
hehe tror du jag blev paff när jag starta detta för första gång och skulle spela? "VA FAN...? sjunger hon på...svenska?"
@countrybluegrass

vet att detta kanske är ett jäkla långskott, men är det Carola som sjunger?
whos the singer and wahts the band?
Where is the passion on video-games these days?
its in swedish =)launguage(spelling?) of the vikings
wtf, this is swedish lyrics??? haven't played the game, a friend just posted this link to me. played seiken densetsu 2 though.
Yup, the Singer is (Or was) a Swedish Pop Star Apparently.
No idea why they did that, but it's a damn good song so it was the right choice.
what is the language used for this song?
Swedish
Du e bara 5 år sen
@fizieyable
Swedish!
me too! kunne ikke sagt det bedre selv :)
