- A vocal, violin, guitar and orchestra cover of "Song of Mana" from the classic Playstation 1 RPG, Legend of Mana by Squaresoft (now Square Enix).
This is a song near and dear to my heart. I played and enjoyed Legend of Mana back when I was a kid. It was a golden age of JRPGs for the Playstation One and although it did not reach the heights of Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest, Legend of Mana is still fondly remembered by those who played it and that reason is mainly because of Yoko Shimomura's wonderful music. I can't even remember what the game's story is all about.
My multi-talented and awesome friend Julia studied how to sing in another language (Swedish) so we can perform this together! We've been planning this collaboration for some months now and it's so satisfying finally seeing this come to fruition! Subscribe to her! goo.gl/uL9k6F

Sometimes it's necessary to remember that there was a time where real beauty and great music existed in our increasingly ugly, violent and paranoid world. There's something primal and simple in the Mana series, and you captured that.

So, I gotta say. This is easily one of my most favorite games I've ever played, and represents a lot of feelings for me.
When they remade it a few months back, I was absolutely ecstatic. But nothing prepared me for the truck-like slam of feelings that the main theme hit me with when I started it up again after having popped it open...
And tonight, while I was doing schoolwork, I just thought "Hell, why not put some music on." and got to thinking of the LoM OST. So, I tossed about for a few good covers, wanting to hear some modern renditions of the music... And came upon this.
I don't know what else to say, but thank you for making this. It still puts a weight on my heart that this game did, a feeling of nostalgia, of all the things I felt playing this game, all the wonderful little stories it held, and what this song represented to me both at the time, and how I felt listening to it now.

LoM and Chrono Cross are some of my all time favorite games. Love all of the covers but the amazing vocals on this really makes this that much more impressive!
I always loved this song I heard it first on some iTunes Radio channel and I taped it but then I couldn't remember what it was from. But still, Legend of Mana sounded so familiar...beautifully done!
