You're not the only one. I rewind the scene in a Bond film whenever I hear an instrumental version over and over again. Wish they would do this in the Daniel Craig Bond films.
The perfect Bond film and absolutely best score in my opinion. Bill Conti is a genius. The producers and director were not afraid to portray a compassionate Bond, which Roger Moore delivered so well.
The flugelhorn solo is so beautiful ! If they ever come out with underwater headphones, this is what I'll be listening to, that is, if I don't get electrocuted. From the 1981 James Bond film soundtrack. Sheena Easton's vocal version is memorable too.
What people would call elevator music, to which I said to many, I love elevator music. The violin arrangement on this one is so excellent. I love the sound so much.
I am really speechless,so much in my mind now ,beyond the magical composition of Bill Conti, how much the quality of life and human value has been degraded...
It’s got its good points for sure such as the gun barrel sequence, the cliff top plunge scene, and the skiing scenes but the plot is wafer thin with that ATAC McGuffin thing.
The score is the best and Roger Moore brings out best of Bond film to date with Sheena Easton provides the Main Theme with final two movies for amazing Bond Moore Roger Moore
I agree; that would be something if Bill Conti had an extended version of this instrumental. It's a very beautiful version, and unfortunately the length of the song corresponds with the underwater scene in the movie. Too bad James and Melina didn't stay underwater for longer ;D. I also have another instrumental version from the movie, but is even shorter yet. It's entitled, 'Terrace Talk', an instrumental that is played in the movie while James and Melina overlook the bay from the balcony.
Hard for me to decide which is the most 80's of the 80's Bond films..this one or The Living Daylights ..personally i liked "Daylights" more and of course the late John Barry's score ..though i think FYEO has the much , much better theme song by Easton ...as far as Conti goes ...i LOVE the scores he did for Rocky , The Karate Kid and the generally lesser known work for the tv mini series "North And South "...that theme is excellent
Anytime! I have software that allowed me to cut the song/scene from the actual movie, and was able to create an .mp3 version. Little did I know how much better it sounds from the movie than on the soundtrack (the song in this video is from the soundtrack). Perhaps I will make another FYEO video with that particular song!
Unmistakable Flugel Horn of Derek Watkins who played Trumpet on every James Bond soundtrack until his death fron Cancer in 2013. Trumpet Legend!!

I love this Bond movie I don't care what anyone says its in my top 5 Bond films.

Great!
I would love to see an extended version, one minute and a half is so little...
You're very welcome!
@eugene680 That would be fantastic if they could incorporate something like this in the next Bond films!
Nice
@piano77man77 In the movie it's a semitone higher, so maybe that's the reason for it to sound "better".
You guys should create an Exculsive Fans CLub for FYEO fans....
😀

Now that i think about it old Bill should've teamed up with old man Vangalus would've been fantastic indeed.peeeice
How many of these have you posted? 😂
Bill Conti is almost cheap in his effectiveness. I am not complaining though :)
Llll
Nice rendition, but it would sound better in the original key of G rather than G-flat. =PSH
James bond Roger Moore was good as bond music wos better
Thank you!
Thanks!
