Ok so just got the scooter. No defects at all runs smooth. I ordered a type A which is a returned but new scooter. That's why mine came with the screen lightly damaged on the side but I am happy because I got it for 200. Anyway I am surprised to know it goes as fast as 60km per hour!
I purchased mine second hand and there was lots of play in the locking mechanism, rattling whilst riding. Ended up winding out that little metal ball a little and it seems to have solved the issue 👍🏻

@Ricky Bustos chill man, my brakes works, I don't even use front brake just to save the battery, rear disc brake does the job. Of course you can die if you ride full speed on them, no brakes will stop the scooter if you go 31km/h. I've limited mine to 20km/h and it's more than enough for me.

Hi Scott, my scooter is about 2 years old now. I need help understanding what’s happening on the dash panel of the scooter while I’m riding it. There is a hill that my scooter doesn’t like… when I get to the top of the hill the scooter shuts off despite being almost fully charged. I imagine it’s an overheating issue related to the hill being too much. What metric should I be looking at on the electric panel to tell me not to push the scooter so hard? (I could always just hop off and walk up the hill). I’ll video the panel one day while I’m going up the hill. (Then I get stuck walking 20 minutes to home.)

There is a mechanical rear brake and electronic regen braking. The clip on the bars is part of the folding mechanism which locks the scooter so it can be carried and transported. Did you subscribe to the channel???

Hey Scott, i just got the same scooter and feels amazing, but i did 7km (1.5km + 5.5km) on my town and the battery drop to 50%. I used sport mode at 30km(19miles) same settings as yours. Does the slow mode make more miles? Thanks
Was it on a flat surface or uphill? Uphill with a heavy load uses up battery more quickly. I get around 20 klms on my scooter, going slightly uphill on slow mode cruise control - which I find is the best for my situation. I am no lightweight either.

Hey I just received mine today and rode it straight out the box. I seemed to have a problem with the folding mechanism, while riding it came undone, basically folded while riding and something bad could’ve happened. I’m not sure but it seemed to me like the plastic in the folding mechanism was weak. I took it to an auto shop near by, the mechanic put a little pressure and i was allowed to lock it standing again and ride home safely, but to be safe it wouldn’t come undone again I put a zip tie on it which prevented it from folding. Any tips?

They are illegal to use in the UK. Some police forces are more relaxed. Some seem to taking a hard line. A change in the law is due to take place in the UK shortly on PEVs.

Carefully ensure that the wires don’t get trapped when you place the bars on.

I haven’t done a range test on the ES80 but did one on the previous model (on my channel). I got 10 miles approx in Eco - about 15mph if I remember.

You should have proved that it actually does 35mph. I thought it only does 35mph if you use the unlock app as seen on UA-cam.

Where did you order from? You may have a device in the house (radio etc) that has a 3 pin that you can swap the cable on? UK shipments have a 3 pin plug from AOVOPRO..COM

Will it harm the battery if it's left on while charging? It's not mentioned in the manual. Got mine up to 19mph and nearly 11 miles range. It's still over %50
Don’t leave it on for months. Use the scooter and charge regularly.

Thanks for the video Scott. I've purchased 2 es80. What I've found is motor is not enough powerful for me because I'm 95kg. So it stops even with very moderate climbs. Is that normal? Do you really feel higher power vs. the 250W model? Thanks
It’s a 350w motor in the ES80.
Have you got the chance to compare with a xiaomi m365 pro 2? Im seeing people with xiaomi going much faster than me and climbing hills where my aovo simply stops :( Thanks

They are illegal to use in the UK. Some police forces are more relaxed. Some seem to taking a hard line. A change in the law is due to take place in the UK shortly on PEVs.
