I have done 11.5km and still got 54% battery left. It had 20% or so uphill climbs and I am 120kg myself, so very good I'd say. Except those useless plastic brackets you get to steady your rear mudguard, those were making noise and just could not fix them in place, tried to glue them but ended up cutting them off with pliers, don't really need those anyway.
Hi Scott, really enjoyed this video! I have one of these scooters on the way. @@seyl717 Be careful, NOT everything you CAN do is a SMART thing to do. Battery may overheat and die, motor also, and you can get seriously hurt if you fall at those speeds. If you want you and your item to last longer, be smart about it.
U don’t NEED one but it’s better to have one cos u can change all the settings and speed limits and stuff via the app. Also HIGHLY RECOMMEND buying this scooter, 100% worth it
I'm 15 stone in weight and it takes me 5 and a half miles in sport mode to my family home and 5 and a half back and reaches around 18 mph on a flat straight surface so yeah its good
Don't go too fast, you will hurt yourself. I am mostly using slow mode with 20kmh and is plenty enjoyable and less likely to provoke any pedestrians. Another reason to go slow is battery will last longer and 3rd reason to go slow is you will not overheat and fry the motor, it will also last longer.

What app do i need for the this please mate it's for my son lol
AovoPro on App Store or Android
I think you were in sport mode not eco mode.
It was Eco mode. The range would not have been this at 19mph
This really helped thanks
How many miles can it do on sport mode on the AOVO scooter ?
I have not made that video yet. The weather is too cold and snowy.
@@ScottJonesMTB hi I've got this scooter and I've noticed it doesn't last very long on sport mode
@@oliverfootball1 how long
If I upgrade mine to the new version to go 28mph will it void the warranty or is it safe and normal to do ?
Some people flick between the two versions of the firmware.
@@ScottJonesMTB if I decide to go with the 28mph one does this void the warranty ?
and also is yours still working good and in one piece
@@Ok-md8lh yes. Ride nearly every day. Well happy with it.
@@ScottJonesMTB how do you make it go 28 because I don’t have the option to even click on a new firmware upgrade
I heard that its 21miles until it dies, is that not true?
Watch the video for the answer my friend.
@@ScottJonesMTB did u say 15miles?
is the majority of it metal ?
Yes. All aluminium. Very solid build actually. There is an AOVOPRO OWNERS - UK group on Facebook
Thanks
Hi Scott, really enjoyed this video! I have one of these scooters on the way. I have seen with the xiaomi scooter it is possible to remove the speed limiter so that the scooter can reach around 35 kmph. Do you know If it is possible to do so with this scooter? (As this is something that would make this scooter the best one I could find for the price if so). Thanks in advance 👍
CJGaming !!! This is a question I knew I would be asked. I don’t know at the moment. I need to find out but don’t want to experiment and brick this scooter when I have only just bought it.
Scott Jones MTB thanks for quick reply ! That’s what I am scared of but can’t seem to find anyone that has done it so not sure wether to try it or not
I will ask on a couple of forums and see what comes back?
Scott Jones MTB Okay great thank you very much !!!
Well not trough the app, that part of the app just doesn't work 🤔.
I own a Xiaomi 1S and my mate just bought the AOVO Pro and it is so much faster than mine
You can unlock the top speed and make it as fast as your mates
@@seyl717 how?
@@ajayb2478 it literally voids your warranty for the scooter tho
@@seyl717 Be careful, NOT everything you CAN do is a SMART thing to do. Battery may overheat and die, motor also, and you can get seriously hurt if you fall at those speeds. If you want you and your item to last longer, be smart about it.
Do u need a phone for this or not?
U don’t NEED one but it’s better to have one cos u can change all the settings and speed limits and stuff via the app. Also HIGHLY RECOMMEND buying this scooter, 100% worth it
Is it still good or not?
I'm 15 stone in weight and it takes me 5 and a half miles in sport mode to my family home and 5 and a half back and reaches around 18 mph on a flat straight surface so yeah its good
How much do u weigh
Because it’s said it’s goes 30 km ?
13 stone - 85kg
Thanks I was just wondering because if the distance . But anyways amazing vid
Rayo Is Tayto What did you like about the video out of interest?
Scott Jones MTB I liked the range part because I need that a lot but I’m pretty light so yeah. And I liked the features ❤️💯
So how much mph does this go
19mph
How come? Mine goes to 25mph just bought this week..downloaded the app and its not doing anything any ideas why?
Hello, my scuteer is traveling at 25 km, what can I do to make it go 35km?
Join the AOVO PRO OWNERS - UK group for details on Facebook
Don't go too fast, you will hurt yourself. I am mostly using slow mode with 20kmh and is plenty enjoyable and less likely to provoke any pedestrians. Another reason to go slow is battery will last longer and 3rd reason to go slow is you will not overheat and fry the motor, it will also last longer.
Why u riding this on pavement or road? You know it's illegal right and potentially 6 pts. It's for off road only.
11Daniel2k why are you trolling this video?
UK needs to change their road code
@@ScottJonesMTB trolling the video? Just calling u out
@@11Daniel2k It’s great that you spend your time on the internet looking for scooter videos and commenting on their legal status. That’s a great hobby. All the best.
@@ScottJonesMTB no it's uninsured idiots (such as yourself) who ride these things illegally putting other road users and pedestrians at risk.
They say it has 30km range but you only got 10miles
30km is optimal. Warm weather. Lightweight rider. Flat car park.
I ride in sport all the time
What range do u get in sports
Be careful mate seen a load of people in my area being stopped, fined (and sometimes points on license) and even having theirs seized due to police saying you need insurance to use these as apparently its classed as a motor vehicle. Anyway wicked video very informative and rear rotor needs to be bigger 😉
Ashley Todd That back tyre needs to be a Maxxis!
I know the deal with the law etc. Enjoyed making this video.
@@ScottJonesMTB wicked mate looks great fun, yeah deffinately maxis or hans dampf, and tubeless great video though mate! 🤘 Love the content keep it up!
I purchased 1 of these scooters it won’t charge correctly aovo keep phobing me off

The range is really poor. My old Xiaomi M365 (classic) goes 16+ miles in fast mode.
AdamHelb I am happy with 11 miles to be honest.
@@ScottJonesMTB The problem is the specs list 18.75 mile range and he got some 11 mile range on Eco mode, that's really poor and may indicated the cells in the battery are cheap generics
You got remember the Xiaomi fast mode is this eco mode average xioami range is 14m in fast this is 11 not too bad slightly over advertising but still good for the price
K Dizz The course I took was more up and down than it looked. I think I could get another mile or two on a very flat route. I was also stopping and starting a lot so that would have had an impact?
Scott Jones MTB Yh mate you’ve got to think about all factors affecting the range. Maybe Aovo should have not called 14/15m an hour eco mode as it confuses buyers who think other scooters have a much larger range on eco. Mabey it should be called sports mode? And 18/19 mph called Supersports mode...Idk just thinking of my head. But Thankyou for the great review. And I honestly think this scooter is a very good option after doing some research for a couple weeks. I’m also curious of the range on 18/19 mph. I expect this to not going to be long at all due to the speed which the scooter is going but still intrigued to find out.Ill be waiting for the video!
Got mine for £179
What how?
Real one!
Your showcasing a fake version, the sticker isnt the real logo, you can even find another video explaining how to spot the fake one.
This is the older version bought directly from the supplier.
I have subsequently been sent updated versions for review also reviewed on my channel.
Your comment is incorrect.
@@ScottJonesMTB okey my bad, it's so confusing because of other reviews about the e scooter. Other videos telling different stories. I love your video tho❤👍
Terrible product !! It is all about your luck !! I bought one a few days ago now my scooter is locked and the app cant connect to the scooter to unlock it...
It is worth mentioning I reached 16 km and still had 20% charge and I weigh 75 kg, max speed was 31 so it is true in this aspect. Locking mechanism has its issues too.
Khaled Selwaiea How has the support been from AOVO?
@@ScottJonesMTB they cant be reached by telephone and the chat was offline. Only way to contact them is through email so I still am not sure but I will tell you how this goes
Khaled Selwaiea when my scooter was slightly delayed the chat was always working and the emails were very receptive.
@@ScottJonesMTB lets hope I do not get any complications
I guess you have a samsung phone.
Ask someone with an I-Phone to get connect with your step.
I also readed about a solution with the samsung phone, you have to enable on the phone the location.
Generally cheap made product, with all the specs beeing sky-highed, but with hardly any support.
Mine second AOVO PRO e-scooter, which is hardly used if all - just gone broken now in different way than the first one. Bit a shame... :(
Just done 3.63mls GPS
Scooter says 5.3mls
So fake range,not unexpected 🤣
Thanks
How are you getting away with rideing down the road and makeing people move out your way you should wait for them
Thanks for your reply
