Great Video! Man, if only they had something like this for the Hiboy S2 Pro, my life would be complete :)
I finally got around to getting one of these kits...my ninebot just flys along!...
Ride safe fellow scooter enthusiasts 😀
And how safe do you feel braking at such speeds? From what I looked up, brake upgrades for the G30 are not a common thing
@@rfh9560 yeah it can be a bit sketchy trying to stop from speed.. i just try to be super careful when riding...i recently bought a Apollo Ghost with hydraulic brakes so that's my main ride now
@@rfh9560max the Regen braking and lean back lol
Ginger these two videos have me hooked. I’m in!! Gonna get me this upgrade. Top man. Respect 💪😎👊
Nice! Good call, it's a super fun little upgrade.
This looks like Bellevue/Redmond Washington! I do my Uber Eats routs around here a lot!
Ninebot should introduce, a Ninebot Max Dual motor version.
That would be pretty freaking sweet.
Yes
Yeah but it is not the scooter for doing any high speed or fast cornering. Wheels are big but theyre pretty narrow comparing them to 1500+$ scooters that go over 40mph.
without a folding mechanism because that thing breaks fast!!!!
I am going to modify it to make it dual motor.
Wow I'm impressed! Great video also 👍🏻 I enjoyed watching!
Just waiting for this channel to grow, have good hopes for you bud! excel
Thanks 😊 I appreciate that. Sky is the limit!
apparently if you flash the firmware you can set it to current control instead of speed control, which completely removes the top speed limiter, and you can reduce the power constant to get more torque. I'd *love* to see this 48v with these two mods.
This firmware is already maxing out the scooter. Those two mods seem like a great way to burn up a motor or controller.
@@GingerOnWheels any idea if there's a 500w+ motor that'll fit on these? Not because I'm a speed demon (I am but that's not the point), but because I'm a big boy (280 lbs? amazon hasn't delivered my scale yet) and I live in a mountain town haha.
@@calvindibartolo2686 go to mymaxmods.com and buy the Fat Max motor.
@@GingerOnWheels oh sweet! I thought "fat max" meant a wide tire for some other scooter, ill definitely check that out!
էէ
love this scooter, mine is version 2 i think. tops at 19 stock
It is a ghost town man awesome to ride a scooter there. Here in my city I can go on bike roads. But surrounded by a lot of cars
I have the e-wheels e2s v2 max. And runs nicely on 45km/h
Thanks for the great video! Any update on what this mod does to the range v. stock battery alone?
I already have a video of this on the channel.
21 miles range with the upgrade vs 17 without.
@@daquekenfor6901 maybe the area I commute with my 9bot max is different but I'm doing 29 miles on S mode. I also weigh 175-180lbs
The Max likely the fastest single-motor scooter out there with CFW mods and Chris' 48V pack. Tons of power and speed.
Very likely.
Naw Zero 10 is still faster. Other than that there probably is not and Max would definitely be 2nd.
It's not even close.. that's not even what I would call heavily modified. Actually, just modifying the stock max is more effort but costs less obvi and honestly is far superior in ride quality when stock equipment is utilized and bolted in. 48v is decent & I was the one Carter tried to copy, and I mean COPY with this mod...we've been running 72v "hotrods" for the last 1.5 years. 1000s of miles on them and without issue. Gen 1 motor with my battery split mod will get you to 36-38mph in about 5 seconds. Second gens consistently another +5mph(yes, over 40 on a stock max, with a gain in range). Get creative and think outside the box.. you're not going to hurt the Max, honestly..
@@merkr212 what mods do you do?
Does the scooter dashboard battery percentage still display accurately after the 48v mod?
Great review!, What's your opinion of take care of battery ? such as charging, using, maintenance and maybe replacement
original xiaomi m365 goes like 19-20mph with the firmware mod. Also since its lower to the ground and lighter, it is easier to kick and get more acceleration and speed when you really need it, I've probably gotten it to 25mph kicking to catch up to my daughter on her ninebot gokart...
Definitely worth doing, if you compare the total price it works out similar to the price of a et-wow booster GT, which is 48v 25mph with way less range, I have the Xiaomi 1s on custom firmware and I'm not very happy with the performance, 17mph 100% and then as voltage drops it will lower to about 13mph, the vsett 8 looks nice, maybe I should get a 12s external battery kit for the 1s.
If you ever get pro 2 try it in that
Booster GT is $200 less than Max + battery. If you check Ginger's range test on both it's only about 5 miles difference. If miles is a concern than the Emove Cruiser is a better choice for $200 more.
never fucked
i have a fake m365 pro it goes 19 mph even in 2 points and it was as cheap for 200 houndred dollars
@@benjaminqerimi4347yeah, The stock 1s motor is 250w, I purchased a 350w motor for the pro from Amazon and its doing 21mph now much better. Stock 1s is slow AF.
Nice to see Bellevue again. I lived there for about 6 months before moving back to Yakima.
Reminds me of a conversation between characters in The Expanse novels where they want to upgrade their ship with a bigger engine...never mind the G forces would kill the crew before they reached top performance of said engine :)
I would also really like to see the range test with this mod.
21 miles modded vs 17 stock, not that much improvement.
@@daquekenfor6901 stock doesn't get you 17 more like 10
Hi! Nice video!! How are the speeds on eco and D mode with this upgrade...?
I have no idea why you're called Ginger...!!! 🤭 All the Best! Great rewieves! ✌️
Love the vids, you and rk9 rides made me get a camera and start uploading some rides
I have one electric scooter called (Emove Cruiser). It can reach 30 mph too!!
I feel comfortable to ride at 30 mph on a good condition road and bicycle lane.
I am upgrading to 48v with front and rear full suspension installed. What is the capacity of the 48v battery you made and how long is the driving distance available?
Did you upgrade? I'd love to see it
Man, that almost looks like it is TOO fast! One hell of an upgrade, I tell you. Personally, that looks a little bit scary for basic riding. But, cool that you tried it out for the rest of us. Nice work.
Personally, I’m not ready for that yet!
@@duneme Same here. I uploaded a firmware hack that allowed my Ninebot Max to go about three mph faster and I think that is about the limit for me. In my opinion, the Ninebot Max would need some kind of suspension for any really high speeds in order to ride safely. One serious bump going at 30 mph might put you on the ground.
Wow fast. But too fast for me. Thanks for sharing the wild experience.
@@CurtRowlett I want the same firmware hack you have? Could you please tell me what it’s called?
My Segway Ninebot max coming in tomorrow and now I need to get this kit
I just ordered my upgrade battery for my max G30LP
Great video. Do you know if you can get the same results with the new model, the g30lp?. Thanks in advance.
Hey ginger I was wondering if you could do a range test with the battery pack I’m very curious to see how much range it would get.
Same here
Ditto
Agreed if i can keep this in 2nd gear or even just keep it at like 16 mph does it make it have alot more miles like 50 or 60 i dont want the ninebot faster just quite a bit more miles per charge i ask this cause i do uber eats on rentable bird scooters and i want to do them on ninebot maxes and if i can get even more length out of each ninebot its much better for me
@@michaelcogswell1792 yeah with most e scooters the slower you drive the more range you get out of them. More power (hill climbing, fast speed, rough roads) less range.
Range test video completed! Sorry it took so long. Uploading now.
When will you restock on the external battery packs?
it's finally back up!
Hey hope I don't bug you but I was wondering if you'd heard of a new battery being worked on that's graphite based? As I understand it it should offer around twice the range and be lighter. If so I sincerely hope they offer upgrades to older edevices even if a new controller is required cause I'd by that even if it's more than a dollar. Old Robo Cop reference
Can you use this on an hi boy electric scooter cause that’s the one I have and if so I will definitely get this battery
I was about to do the 48v but then I just shelled out a couple grand more and bought a 60V Dualtron Thunder😁and the difference is WOW!
Same. I have love for my Ninebot Max I had. I upgraded to Eagle Pro and that thing kicks butt. It's enough for me. Plenty enough.
I really need to know the soundtrack. Whatever you were listening to while cracking it down the street was fantastic! It's perfect
AGST distant! Found it and it slaps!
I'm a iphone mac user so had to use Ninebot Flasher on windows to do it from my laptop..works fine. quick to do..mine does 30km/hr stock battery.thats reckless enough with no suspension
Mine goes like 36-38km/h on a straight quality road (I weight 75kg).
75 kg 0_0
@@I-red68gaming68 Depending on height that’s not bad lol
@@NotCharAznable I'm 66kg at 5'8 lol
Hey man! I bumped into you today near the Microsoft campus, thank you for the tips! Awesome to see the power of the battery mod, as well as the difference between the gen 1 and gen 2 ninebot Max.
Due to the amount of rain that we get here, how would you feel about riding the moded Max under the rain?
Hey man ya it was cool running into you too! I would definitely take some time and apply silicone sealant around that hole and maybe go so far as replacing the foam blocks in the stem tube with some leftover sponge pieces just as a very last hail Mary sort of preventative measure.
@@GingerOnWheels why does mine go 10 km an hour
I hate the ninebot max
@C W hey your ninebot max still good?
It's a shame they don't do this mod for the ninebot F40E, great video btw!
Amazing. Can you do this to other scooters like the zo 8 pro?
Wow that is awesome I would always say the ninebot scooters should be a bit more faster lol and another thing why don’t they make fast chargers for them
The G30 max has two ports, mine at least (maybe just for the gen 2 one?) has 2 ports but only slow charging cable included. The fast charging cable is like 90€ here lol, not worth.
Or you could just get the e-way 600 max which uses the same platform but with a different larger battery and stronger motor (1200w max, 600w nominal), get the softTune app, connect and remove the limiter, goes as fast as this if not slightly faster at no additional cost, in fact it's actually cheaper than the ninebot for some reason (in europe at least).
“Eway 600 Max” Doesn’t have shock absorbers though…..
Only couple days ago i tried e scooters those green one bolt and so much fun gonna buy one soon
Yep
One bump in the road and you are really flying 🤣
If it's big enough, for sure. Gotta pay attention on smaller scooters like this one.
@@GingerOnWheels a suspension would be nice, but it's illegal here...
@@weltvonoben 🤣 of all the things to make illegal! Really? That stinks.
I have a KS5 PRO that has front suspension and max out at 21 mph at 41 miles range distance but today it went up to 27mph on a 7 degree slop and it acted like it wanted to go faster.
It has a 700wt and I weigh 200 pounds which it can hold 240 pounds but however it has a limited that keeps it at 21 mph.
It's never done that before and it kept braking to keep it at 21mph as if it was the limiter momentarily disabled.
I live in TN and theirs a lot of heels kinda like your town you live in but other than that it goes up steep heels at 10-12 mph
and on level it goes 21mph. I only had it for a 2 months so I hope it doesn't malfunction or something domto m it reaching 26 mph.
Is it safe to leave the battery on after charge and do you think of the increase speed has something to do with the battery still plugged in after full charge?
How you make it on to 25mph any tutorial that i can make?
Hey man quick question, do you have to charge the external separately or does it charge via the main charge port
Yup, 2 separate chargers.
It really sounds like a Racing car that is a bit far away 😂 Nice Sound...
Would u say it extends the battery range and if so .. what is the range that u get with this upgraded battery ? Cause I seen lots of claims of 40miles but I'm sure it's closer to 30 and that's the regular model
My uncle has one and its insanely fast and bigger than me😁
Wait, if you use the mod, does it still water resistance.
Good question wondering also.
Hi ginger, could you do a tutorial video on how to properly drive an electric scooter, like hoppoing on side walks and the more complex stuff. I tried doing some maneuvers but I fell today 😂. I only saw it on your video
Are there any problems with the motor and control furnace? Isn't it overheating? Does the motor withstand well even if I put 48v on a 36v motor?
How fast is the top speed maintained?
Hey gingerwheels, do you know how to unlock the top speed on a hiboy titan? I know for a fact it can hit 32mph but is locked to 26mph, I saw a video of one in China hitting 32mph (converted from KPH)
I don't, no. Sorry.
Hey everyone! I'm glad you like the video so much. Don't forget to check out all the cool stuff I sell in my scooter & e-bike accessory store! pevoutlet.com
Is it just a bigger battery? No controller swap necessary?
😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Good content!
Like you said in part 1 of this video. Their battery pack will be in the way for your feet. I'm sure it can go onto the main straight bar, leaving that area free for your feet... or??
It's hardly noticeable, you can put your foot all the way to the front of the deck, but if you have tall shoes you won't be able to slide your shoe all the way forward. It may be reduces the deck space by an inch. Sure, it could go up on the main straight bar, but there's really no point since it isn't in the way when you ride
I crashed on a lime scooter the other day going about 15 mph and got hurt pretty bad people watching have to be aware that the average human can run about 15.6 mph the fattest ever ran was 28 mph which was Usain bolt so imagine running full speed then rag dolling into the ground that's pretty much what I did now this things going 25 mph for someone who I. Guessing is around roughly 200 pounds I literally saw kid install this mod on his scooter that thing can easily kill you if your not careful so be careful! And parents be aware of what your getting your child. I recommend getting this if your an experience user.
Its true. Always wear all the gear! Crashing is way too easy.
Just don't crash. But I'm used to big powerful 3 wheelers from the 80s. These aren't that scary lol.
@@mattalford3932 ofc it ain't but you can still get hurt

When u did the upgrade did u redo the firmware as well or just plug and play. I meen as will did u change anything on the app. Plus sorry did it get hot and burn out at all
@GingerOnWheels Hey! What paramaters are you using for this setup? How is your current set? 30amps? 35amps? Thanks!
What is your firmware set to for power in sport mode. 55 amps is stock I believe. Built a 4s6p with same lgm26 cells but just wondering what you can safely run max amps at. Also upgraded phase wires to MR60 as they melted with stock power.
Is the battery life long in this scooter or the Xiaomi Pro 2 has a longer battery turbidity?
I am looking at getting Kaabo Wolf Warrior 10 to go to work mainly. Could you tell me if it's a good choice?
Man it's currently out of stock , wondering if it's worth it to pay almost double for the internal battery pack?

How does this upgrade hold up over like a year of use?

Great review my man, also a Great scooter for the price the ninebot, but for speed etc, Rion can do 70 mph, of course that costs $6500 but still lol

Not sure yet. I'll be testing that soon when the weather warms up. This cold weather just crushes every battery :(
how will it perform on gen 1? and it will lose speed when the battery is below certain level like 80%. gen 2 does not lose speed same way as gen 1 in stock. Then I heard that gen 1 has better torque, but worse top speed than gen 2 which is on G30LP.
It is so nice
I need one of these

hey I just followed your videos and got the 48volt kit installed from My Max Mods, now my Segway max will randomly lose power and then shut off after coming to a stop. I am not sure what to do... any tips?
So, there is no problem adding a 48 Volt battery in with a 36 volt battery? Wouldn't it drain the 36 Volt faster and then the 2 being in parallel will try to normalize the capacity to be even between the 2 batteries? I have the D40X from Best Buy. I think it is the same as the MAX but it has a front drive wheel. Will this work for mine?
Thank you for this video and all your others, Subbed!
It's a 12v external battery run in series with the built in 36v. 48v total. I have no idea if it'll work with your DX40. I've never seen the inside of one.
