This is NOT the One Man's Pass/Path. It is a parallel section that involves some basic rock climbing. You can go this way if you want, but it is not the Path. The Path is just that: a path that you walk on, no climbing involved.
I may do a hiking tour of Ireland soon, but this is one hike I will NOT be doing. It reminds me of the Cloud's Rest hike I did in Yosemite Park California three years ago. can you move along on the right side of you rather than being at the top. Im deaf in one ear and suffer vertigo at heights. I even got it watching this! lol
I want to try One Man's Path, but also do not want to spend all day there. Would you be able to tell me what would be the shortest time spent and shortest distance hiked to get to One Man's Path and back to the car. Also, if you would happen to know how I can download a trail map for the area, that would be great. Thanks.
Plenty of maps online. Wikipedia has one. Basically, if you want the quickest/easiest path to the "pass". Use the rear parking lot, and follow the Pilgrims Path. It skips most of the tricky hiking, and is basically a shortcut to the pass.
thank you for this vid.. i WAS excited about doing this. no way now lol!.. on that note, when did you go? i will be there in december. and as an "unexperienced" trail climber (physically fit, but nonetheless unexperienced), i'd never brave anything like this. is the whole trail like this? are there any websites that have a good map of routes to take?

by all means still do the walk, this bit can be bypasses by going around the bottom .The views are stunning all the way along !

hi Joel, this was last october, this is just a small part of the route, and can be easily bypassed by going around the bottom.
