Unbelievable! I was researching places to go in 2019 along the Wild Atlantic Way and this was one of the spots on the `Way`however, after seeing this insane footage (I believe it is all awesome but in all honesty, I couldn`t watch it all as I was too nervous just watching it!) I don`t think it will by on my `to do` list! Congrats fellows, beautiful job! and I love selfie sticks! LOL
Walked this few times for different charities. Magnificent fews. But what you came across afterwards is remarkable where there is evidence that people lived there.
As me being a Teelin man, who was reared 3 miles away, I'm sure it wouldn't surprise you to know that I done the pass many times. The weather is not always as good as it is in this video, try doing it on a windy day and you will see the difference. Some of the comments on here, are a wee bit silly to say the least, probably by people who don't know the difference between the "One Mans Pass" and the "Pilgrims Path".
At least you had nice weather. All the times I've done the pass, it was windy, and the ground was damp! There is a one mans "pass", and one mans "path". Oddly, 2 different places on Slieve League
Awesome video. We came upon this arete and bypassed it. It was gusting pretty bad and our runners where saturated with bog juice from the approach. Next time on a drier day :)
is there a different way down or is it back up the way you came? I have never seen anything so terrifying, we made it to the upper carpark and that was definitely high enough for me
There is the easier pilgrim path down but you should go all the way past Foraee and the magnificent chimney pots to Malinbeg tra Bhan or silver strand. The climb up the one mans pass is easier than what the film and selfie stick make it look. Just watch the wind and hang tight as there can be squalls that high. Noel Carr Carrick
What a scramble! Great video! Sliabh Liag is a beautiful spot. If you want a tour of the region contact me. I run photo tours all year round. It's a photographer's paradise!
Is that how you react to everything? Ignore the tradition of the locals, and in fact, the whole country? And follow everyone else? It's a Gaeltacht region. It's Sliabh Liag. Get over it. Tír gan teanga, Tír gan anam.
shona murphy Well you're doing a good job of it now darling. And it's only to satisfy outsiders because they don't give you enough credit, which seems like a correct assumption, to know any better. Good luck with your life petal.
Great video footage (despite my abject hatred of selfie sticks), but horrendous choice of music. Seriously, it totally killed the mood and detracted from the scenery. You do realize that Irish music itself was inspired, at least in part, by Irish scenery found throughout the island, right? Hell, you don't even need some oldschool Irish crooner that your grandma still listens to on 8-track. Even someone newer like Glen Hansard would've far more suited a video sporting Irish scenery such as this.
Man we climbed carrauntoohil 5 weeks ago with dance music playing off a phone coming back down the heavenly gates, this is Ireland 2016 and just about 2017, not 1916 :) Where are you from?
Thank you for making it possible to travel through it by watching your video ♥
Brilliant camera work Jack and Ivan! My heart was in my mouth for some of those manoeuvres

The area is a Gaeltacht region. The ONLY official legal name is Sliabh Liag. Get over it.
