One of the rare youtube channels where you can wait years for the next video. This however doesn't mean that we don't want your videos to appear more frequently :)
Absolutely beautiful and so creative! I am always amazed with your craftsmanship and attention to detail, simply the best. Missed seeing your work. Thanks for sharing, the Greatest by far!
One of the more useful items in IKEA must be their pencils ;) Somehow a few seems to slip into my pocket the one occasional time I'm forced to visit... Nice rack!
Nice project!!! really liked how you drive the rods in.. Oh, next time you need a drum sander feel free to stop by.. I'd be happy to let you use mine ;-)
I get so excited when you post a video. Awesome as always. Btw because of people I know from my job I ended up acquiring a 24 inch grizzly 1066r drum sander for FREE. It upped my game 1000%. When milling figured wood it's a game changer.
It's rare to see this much artistic ability with skillful craftsmanship. Sam Maloof was one of the greatest and your work is there with his. Thank you for creating these incredible videos!
Once again superb work Maurice what a brilliant design. Like the use of a car jack as a router lifter, did this myself about 10 years ago when manufactured lifters were several hundred £/€.
Mr. Blok I was starting to worry. Nice job on the towel rack! You seem to change your appearance multiple times in the video.Your footage is much appreciated. Thanks:)
Haven't gotten a notification for you in a long time. I stopped checking to be honest to. Welcome Back Maurice! I'm excited as hell you're back your craftsmanship is second to none as always!
I love te protruding plugs that you used fore the wal mounting screws but fore the jointer you can do a few things to prevent tearout One the grain direction matters (Whit figured wood its les effective) Try going slow (like snail 🐌 slow) and shallow And angle the work Piece when you are jointing it and when you are edge jointing just joint it square against the fence and just make the Last pas shallow and angle it away from the fence (if that makes sense) I hope I don't come over like a know it al 🙊
Your approach to prevent tearout does help (!) and I do this frequently, sometimes with more success and sometimes with lesser success. It so much depends on the individual wood used. Some super flamed, quilted wood may have no problems but the next piece possibly from the same tree causes problems.
Amazing details, the plugs and maple have officially become a Maurice Blok signature style. I'm sure the fans appreciate the video after such a long time, but is this a comeback or a cameo ? As for constructive criticism, I wish I could help you but I am terribly biased with your videos. I can't find a single thing to improve. Welcome back Maurice and well done brother!
Great to see you back Maurice... A beautiful piece of work!! I think osmo products are great to use, I used it on my table top... but do you know if you can use the top finish for cutting boards? Keep on making beautiful things
I do not know but don't think so. If you like a hard surface you could build layers using pure tung oil or even use shellac but the shellac will visibly wear your cutting board's surface a lot. I would stick with (pure) paraffin oil for easy maintenance and application.
Great job but It seems to me that the rack should be fitted upside down so the towels hung in behind each other, with the way you choose they will be in front each other
Hello Maurice, I Love your Work and you are the best woodworker in my opinion !!!! Sorry for my Englisch ;-) What motor has your Felder kf 500 on the saw? 3kw ,4kw...
Hi! I have no idea about the technical specs of the inside of the machine... A little googling taught me that 3kw is standard and 4 kw is an option. I purchased it in 2012 though it is manufactured in 2010 and i have no idea if it has the added option. Sorry to leave you in the dark there.. Thanks for taking the time to watch! (ps, your english is just fine :-)
prachtig mooi Maurice!!
Hello, what model of Felder table saw are you using? It looks like you are using a short slider? Are you happy with the shorter vs longer slider? Thanks!
+brian welling pardon me the late reply. It’s a Felder KF 500, it’s a saw/ Moulder machine. I think that are (in Europe at least ?) made to order. I bought mine second hand from a man who has a basement shop and has limited space. When dimensioning ruff stock I could do with a larger sliding table. I do though have a track saw with a long track and this eliminates the nessacity for a larger/ long sliding table. I’m super happy with mine... honestly before purchase I had never used a table saw before in general. I would buy it again today.
As always you take a seemingly mundane project and turn it into a thing of beauty. Well done Maurice!

As you progress with the rack, you're losing hair. Woodworking is dangerous!

+Ryan Ferreri thanks!!

Beaut!
Love your videos man, only one problem, there's not enough of them ;)
Mauricio where have you been!!
Great job but It seems to me that the rack should be fitted upside down so the towels hung in behind each other, with the way you choose they will be in front each other
That would be possible too if wanted.
Hi Maurice,

G.Work.Specials volgensmij zijn ze van festool
It's the five piece budget set from dictum.

Hey, I saw that you have as an sander that Ks 150. How good is to use and do you have any bad to say about it?
