What a beautiful lamp. I want to try to make one too. Can I have all the sizes of the wood parts please? Part 2 seems especially difficult to make for me.
I found a couple of SketchUp files I could share with you. They are the "lattice" measures and the schema of grooves/insets in the external structure. If you are still interested, send me your email address via a private message through facebook.com/ideebizzesche/
Are you a chemist, who has a carpentry hobby? because I am. I identified with your video and coat, which I use both in the laboratory and in my garage. (Google translator).
All right, I still like your video, it has won a subscriber. the jacket is very useful in all cases, kkkkkk both to protect from dangerous substances and to protect count dust and oil ... kkkkk
Thank you Sean for replying on my behalf! (I didn't have the "notification for comments" enabled, so I just so the question today) Do you make shoji-style stuff as well?
I am in the process of making two shoji-style LED floor lamps. Each panel is 72" tall and 11" wide, so the process of chiseling the frames, cutting all of the half-laps, assembling, and applying finish was tedious at best. All the care and effort will feel worthwhile the first time they turn on. I opted to use a laminated paper (thin plastic film sandwich, no water misting necessary) mainly because it has greater transparency. It will also be somewhat more durable.
Wow, 72 inches, it's huge! I'm curious, when you have finished, if you want, send me some photos (you can send me a message through this page: facebook.com/ideebizzesche/)
Watching this is like having a massage for my brain and eyes. This is awesome.
wow, super nice work, love it
Thanks!
Wow.. ! I'm going to make one, one day. 😍 always been in love with this kind of woodcraft!
Joe J. You gotta stop watching BTS and start with some nails and a hammer first.
@@acemany1126 What are you talking about? 🙄
An amazing precise handcraftship! Very well done!
Beautiful! A work of art!
Nice!! When can I order one?
C'est tout simplement un travail magnifique !
Truely amazing... good job. I wish the 'beauty shots' were a little longer, but the pause button works well.
Thanks!
For the shots you can also check the photo album in the video description
This looks fantastic. The very definition of a craftsman. Do you take commissions?
Thank you John! Let's talk about it. Can you send me a private message via facebook.com/ideebizzesche/ ?
What a beautifull work!
What beautiful work!
really nice finished piece!
Thanks!
Stunning!!
Exceptional work. What did you spray on the paper before the final fit (14:14)? Was it just to add a bit of texture to the paper?
Thank you
You moisten the paper with water. When the paper dries, it shrinks and becomes taut.

Ralf Faber I don't know if I have something ready/readable. I will turn back to you in a few days

How do you open this to change the bulb I have one in my kitchen but it doesn’t come off and I’m afraid to make it fall down from ceiling
Hi Jenn. I"m afraid I can't help you. The one I built has no bottom, so you can easily reach the bulb. Sorry.
Very, very nice..!!!
What kind of paper did you use for this? Was it just regular paper, rice paper, etc?
Hi Alex, I use Japanese paper: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Washi I hope I answered your question
um químico que tem como passa tempo a carpintaria! risrisris eu também !
I tried to Google translate your comment but it made no sense to me, sorry
