    It's tragic how few views this has... Studying this kind of ontological system seems universally beneficial. Anyone conducting any kind of academic labor could gain from being tied to and capable of using open ontological methods like this.

      Or working in IT - this type of knowledge is foundational to understanding data and how to store and manage it.
      Also check out the work of Matthew West and Chris Partridge.

    at 41:41 you start talking about the role student being a bearer of the role student during the period t. I'm wondering how would you approach a role which is commonly considered to be permanent, "Once an X always an X"?

      Sometimes Roles and the Continuant seem synonymous. A good example is Person, Doctor and Patient. Most data models don't separate the 3, which causes confusion when a Doctor is also a Patient.
