Great to catch up on your last trip on Skips boat - although we will miss that extreme sailing to high latitudes videos that sailors like us enjoy as a break from all those tropical cruising channels. Enjoy being parents and some solid ground - hope your little one takes after their parents on sailing though!
Hi Jessica, Thank you for your comment! We will still venture into the high latitudes. This year I went to Greenland and Baffin Island on Skips original small Pelagic and we have some trips in the far South on the new Pelagic 77 “Vinson of Antarctica “ coming next year. Plus we are planning to take our own boat North next summer. So plenty more high latitude adventures coming! :)
This was a very interesting haul out of "Pelagic Australis" and yes she is a beauty with her lines.. I also enjoyed the handing over ceremony, this was so special and rewarding for her history.. Looking forward to the next installment.... Enjoy and thanks for sharing..
Watching this video, I was struck by how cool the Synchrolift is. The rail system for shuffling ships is really ingenious. Today, I saw news that the Bark Europa toppled on her side in dry dock (May 2023). Viewing the Europa photos I thought, "Hey! I know that place," since I remembered the Synchrolift from your video. I thought you might be interested in the news either because you spent time in this same facility or may be familiar with the Europa as she sailed many of the same waters as you have.
that explains the lapse in videos ,I look foreward to any and all content you give us ,It would be fantastc if you continue with your adventures and the blessings of a child who will surely become a world adventurer as yourselves ,thank you for sharing.
Just became a fan of your channel and watched almost all your content. Saw you guys had a child as well. Enjoy that time, they grow up quick. Thank you for the great content.
How sad, but will look forward to your new adventures. Also really curious about part II! smart purchase for Greenpeace. I'm amazed how clean the hull was. Sailors will want to know the secret in the anti-fouling sauce.
We will continue working for Skip on his small original Pelagic as well as on his new Pelagic 77 Vinson of Antarctica. Plus we bought our own little 36ft steel yacht which we plan to take to high latitudes:)
@@grancitodos7318 yes :) and we were fortunate he sailed with us for 7 weeks. A truly wonderful & kind man I felt honoured to be in his company. Whatever you may think of Greenpeace that is your opinion and you can say as you please. But I won’t have anyone cast a callous word about one of the kindest men I’ve ever met. Especially in a world where people love to hate. Where they have lost the true meaning of kindness and have an inability to adopt it into their everyday lives. This man is the truest symbol of kindness.
@@seasandsummits You still haven't answered my question, and now that you mentioned people who hate, have you not become aware of the powerful people who are trying to destroy everything, and you would probably say that we should not hate them. I think that you live in a world of fantasy.
@@seasandsummits Just ignore him, he's an obvious troll and a very stupid one at that. Very sad to see that fabulous boat is no longer Skip's, but very glad it's in the hands of Greenpeace.

Sophie 🙂
I sure enjoy your videos.
Thank you! It’s very nice to hear :))

Sophie 🌊
Quite certainly the stuff used on commercial ships where it has to be good for five years.
I like it
Thank you again ☺️
Nice
Thank you :)
Part 2 is out today 🙂
I can only dream of having a boat like that and to be able to maintain her while traveling the world
Yes we appreciate she’s a unique boat and a dream for many. We wish she was our boat 😄.
Will you get a new boat?
We will continue working for Skip on his small original Pelagic as well as on his new Pelagic 77 Vinson of Antarctica. Plus we bought our own little 36ft steel yacht which we plan to take to high latitudes:)
So beautiful. That you have a new sailboat. But? ? State? The Rainbow? also for equality? I'm more of a Sea Shepherd myself.
Oh… cool 😎
I agree 😊
Very sad to see an incredible yacht go to waste
Oh she certainly hasn’t gone to waste. She’s been refitted and has been out working hard. She just has a new career.
: )
🙂🙂
I hope Greenpeace have many years of service from this great vessel.
I’m sure they will! She is a fantastic, rock solid yacht !
Those eco-terrorists, Greenpeace, got themselves a nice sailboat.
Unfortunately, I saw what the crew from GreenPeace did while in Honolulu harbor.
I will NEVER EVER support them. 😡
What did you see them do?
@@justinvogt695 Pissed a miner off probably🤣🤣🤣
So an organised crime group, used dirty money to buy the boat, the world has become disgusting.
She was purchased by one man - a very kind and generous Dutch businessman who then donated her to Greenpeace. I can assure you it is not dirty money.
@@seasandsummits So you know this "kind man's" business activities?
