I love these old radio shows! I think the writers and actors were so incredibly talented...after all, they had to create the mood, atmosphere, setting, scenery, etc..with words alone. It really is pretty incredible when you think about it and when you think of how visual all our entertainment is now.
i love all of these radio shows! all the stars of the golden ages. i had no idea that these stars did radio in addition to their other careers. fabulous!
I remember reading this from an old anthology book I found at the shore house my family stayed in each year. I remember reading it on the beach and having to ask my mom what a few words meant. The story itself didn't creep me out until I had to go to bed later that night. I remember laying under the covers and being too afraid to sleep.
I scared mysel with all the scary pictures my own imagination made for this creepy story ! Thankyou so so much for putting these fabulous story dramas on for us all to enjoy.
Jeannette Nolan is amazing in the lead role. And that's the unmistakable baritone of William Conrad doing the voice over. Chilling at the end with the combination of him describing what she's going through and her excellent voice acting.
@@thebigchap101 I love this episode. I enjoy the entire suspense lineup, as well as CBS Radio Mystery Theater episodes of which there are 1,399, in case you didn't know
@@patrickoneill8707 This episode really hits different when you’re alone in a dark room in the middle of the night. But I think my favorite Suspense was “On A Country Road”
@@thebigchap101 I really enjoyed that episode as well. I have seen all of the 1399 CBSRMT episodes on UA-cam over the last few years. I have to enjoy more Suspense episodes and catch up on those.
This is one of the most tense episodes of Suspense. Absolutely thrilling.

+lupavo Yes, it is almost as if you can watch it, or even better.

Lavinia is pretty cold blooded! Yeah our friend was murdered, but let's forget about it!
This is a great episode..but how did it end?? I'm a little confused..
I HATE a MYSTERY.
It was extremely suspenseful but I’m confused....who was the killer?
From a Lib to a conservative in one night! GO NRA!
This isn't Bradbury's ending. Sorry to disagree, but not only is it not an improvement, it's a complete flop.
