You'd do so Good Down Under here in Australia with a Queensland Bird Eating Spider 😂😂😂
I was admitting to two Texas women in an antique store that I am not originally from Texas. They both replied, “Oh, Bless Your Heart.” I told them I know what that means and told them not to go blessing my heart and they laughed until tears rolled. Double meaning…so true.
It’s the Southern version of “With all due respect “.
@charlesbradley5757 💯
It was completely sincere until a TV show (Designing Women) said it had a double meaning. But there are plenty of Southerners who say it, and they are NOT being snarky. Don't automatically assume they're being mean.
😂😂😂great ain’t it
@@cbennett2194 I lived in the south in the late ‘60s/early ‘70s and “Bless your heart” was *definitely* used as a sarcastic, passive aggressive put-down even back then. ‘Designing Women’ simply used an already well known trope about the south, rather than twisting the phrase into something new.
She is a comedian…a comedian stretches the truth and tells jokes…that’s right - jokes. Remember when people didn’t take this stuff seriously and just laughed?
Take what seriously?
Yes, the good ole days, when we could laugh at ourselves and before cancel culture.
Who is saying she isn’t??
She funny but being from the south she straight up telling it like it is 😂😂
Actually, there's a bit of Passive Aggressiveness in Comedy, that's not really all that healthy.
She's funny without being gross, rank or foul mouthed. Good material.
Thank gawd, or I would be offended. 🙄
Well, ya don't fuckin goddamn say!

@@VelveteenRabbit77 I found it put when my neighbor, a lovely young lady from Mexico, and I were standing at the fence talking one morning. Bless her heart! The Southern language is one of nuance and intonation.
Bless your heart
My grandmother taught me this
Exactly!
It's truth, and its mostly in the heart part. If the intonation is rising generally a good bless; falling or dripping with sarcasm you just got bad blessed.
It’s all about the tone. I’m from the South. Honestly, most of the time it truly means: God bless you, because someone is going through a difficult time. Or God bless his or her heart when someone is looking sad, or cute.
When I visit distant relatives who live in the sticks in South Carolina, strangers sit on the porch and wave as you drive by, and I wave back. When in Rome! 👋🏾

😂😂 Good job! You better believe, those strangers 'know' you AND which relatives you 'belong to' who would then be informed that you didn't 'speak' ie acknowledge and return the wave, in a polite, passive-aggressive way of course...

Years ago in Georgia, at the big box home improvement store, walking out to my truck, this woman and 15-16-year-old daughter was trying to load a door into a small SUV. I told her, it would not fit, can I take it home for you. She agrees, says my daughter will ride with you and give directions. All I can say, "Only in the South...."
That had to have been years ago. I remember those days.
Yeah because any woman voluntarily letting her 16 yr old daughter get in a vehicle with any strange man these days is out of their mind!
Her daughter may have had the 9 in her cute purse. Even roses have thorns.
You’re the one who should’ve been worried little home girl had a razor sharpe Buck 110 and a sub compact 9 concealed and knew very well how to use both lol that’s why momma wasn’t worried. Things different down here
That would not have happened in the south I grew up in - in the 70's 80's or 90's - which is why I raised my kids in Colorado. That woman was stupid!

And she still thinks The was right about Covid despite the fact that they were wrong in every way possible about Covid. She can leave Nashville on the south anytime. We didn’t invite her and we don’t want her kind. Go back to the place. She ruined because she will come here and keep voting and ruin here just like they ruined California.

The thing to remember about spiders… Is that they eat roaches! And the further south, you go, the bigger the roaches. The really big ones fly to your forehead when you flip the light switch on! Now, that’s being traumatized 😮
So it’s a dilemma when you find a spider in the house, do you let it live, or do you put water out for it so he can hunt your roaches and silver fishes that you will rarely see. ?? 😮 Things to ponder in the south…
I would tolerate the spiders if they eat roaches. 😳
Palmetto bugs... roaches with wings
😂
I have seen roach carcasses in the spiderwebs in my garage. Love the spiders! They are your frirnds!
Nashville bugs are tiny compared to what we have in Mississippi. Further south you go, the bugs get bigger.
Mosquitoes 🦟 are the state bird
State bird of Louisiana
We had a couple of really Big roaches in our Navy barracks in Gulfport, that walked around like they owned the place. So we gave them names and just let them be.
My friend who used to live in Tampa, where there is a shipping port, had a tarantula fall off the ceiling and go inside the back of her shirt.
Several minutes later, when the neighbors had broken in, she was still standing naked in her bathroom, screaming.
They thought it was a home invasion. Well, it kinda was....
When you get to inland Florida the mosquitos don’t die when you smack them. They just sigh and fly off.
In proper context “ bless your heart” can be equivalent to the middle finger.
When someone doesn't understand, I tell them that Southern Politeness Fu is all in what ISN'T said: "Bless your heart (you drooling fucking idiot, who let you out by yourself?)."

Sugar you'll be fine as long as you don't try to bring that yankee mess down here. I will say though that you need to choose if you haven't already. Alabama or Auburn. Depending on where you are, you can get away with Tennessee, Georgia or Mississippi State maybe.
Why would you do that?
@@angelasmith1112 New York City has become unlivable. I did not feel safe any longer.
Southern sweet tea is fantastic!!!
Last week in South Carolina I sneezed at a thrift store and every person in a 30 ft
radius said “bless you”
I looked at my friend and he just shrugged and said “welcome to the south”
She’s hysterical! 😂 East Coast here and noticed similar things in Nashville.
If you need to kill a spider that big... there's Kristi Noem.
😂😂😂
When this part of the south says bless your heart we mean it…. The one to look for is “is that right?” Florida is the deep Deep South and southern accents because some folks think we don’t have southern accents here. ❤… I’d be getting some Childhood traumas scaled too!! 😂
I will admit, as some one who loves his sugar, I couldn't handle the sweet tea down there. I felt my cavities getting cavities, lol. As far as the people, they were very pleasant to talk to. I did not get any negative vibes even when they found out I am from California.
Cali girl omg yes. Born and raised in California 43 years been in the nashville for 8 years and I'm still trying to adjust lol
If you don’t like the south don’t go we will be happy either way bless your heart
Guess you're not familiar with comedy.
Yes I do a man with his hand in a dummy is funny
Won’t be there. Bless your trumpy hearts.
It’s called comedy
You’re dumber than a box of rocks
We are kind in the South. Bless your heart
As a Southerner, and a current Nashvillian, she is spot on about a lot of things especially about how (most) Southerners will go out of their way to help someone. The TJ Maxx story (about people who didnt even work there) trying to help her is so true. I have been on the receiving end of that as well as
recently helping a stranger pick out a lipstick shade at CVS for his wife for Mother's Day.
Born and raised in California but raised by my papa who was from texas and my gg from arkansas...this explains my amazing customer service skills and why i cant stfu 😂 and the bless ur heart is REAL
I have always loved Anjelah. And as a lifetime Southern gal - this is 100% accurate. LOL Good job!!
Wowwwwwwww. SHE. WAS. ROCKIN!! The writing, the transistions, performance. .... Grade A. Top notch. ❤

You have the South. Then you have Texas.

As a Southerner, she’s one of my favorites.
She’s the best female comedian I’ve ever listened to.
Funny as hell! I can relate to her jokes! 😅
Listen to Leanne Morgan
Thanks for the laughs this morning! She is amazing! 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂 I’m from Alabama born and
