I've always said: "When you are picking a place to live - Pick what natural disaster you can live with: Earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, or snow so high you're lost."
Me too and I’m super crafty. Two tennis rackets tied to my Timberlands… Snowshoes! A big Rubbermaid container and the neighbors dog? Dogsled! Bam! What?! Lol. @@kerenolivero7097
Where I live it's mostly tornados. But we still get hit with the edge of hurricanes, the occasional earthquake (small ones) and once every handful of years a good sized blizzard that kills power for weeks. Why pick when you can have them all? ^_^ lol
I was born in Montana (snow so high), spent 13 yrs in Miami (small tornadoes on the edges of hurricanes) and now live in earthquake country. In all of them preparation is important. And then you hunker down. Even with deep snow eventually someone is gonna come dig you out. Think I'd rather have 8 ft of snow than 8 ft of water.
My army buddy was from Virgina, and we both served in Iraq together. He moved here to Texas in May 2011, and I tried to warn him about our summers. His response, "Man I've been to Iraq 3 times, and I'm from Virgina, I ain't worried about a little heat." First day of his job, working outside, "WHAT THE F@#K, THIS HEAT IS UNBEILIVABLE!!!!😮" I laughed so hard at him that day.😂😂😂😂😂
Had a coworker that transferred from LA to Dallas for a career move. They lasted two summers and his wife made him move back to SoCal. She said all the weather warnings gave her too much stress, at least with an earthquake you get no warning. No kidding, she really said that.
Im southern girl.. Sometimes they go way overboard with those dang sirens!! Last bad one we had they just kept on and on for like 45mins:: I was like "damn I get it, I might die soon, enough already you are stressing me the he'll out".. They do some jacked up damage too" A couple yrs ago one took out a entire county here in KY a couple weeks before christmas.. It was a few hrs away from my county; but my brother ran a mission crew to help them for a few months..
One of the funniest comedians out there. The tornado siren part was hilarious. And she doesn't even curse and she still had me in stitches. I even got the hiccups from laughing. Please keep making more videos.
I lived in several places with my husband and daughter while in the military. California, first earthquake... not too bad. Illinois, first white out snow storm... kinda scary as I was driving. Florida, first hurricane (thankfully only got the edge of it) still pretty scary. Then we move back home to Georgia, we get in the first 10 years.... an earthquake, 2 floods and 3 tornadoes!! I'm like what the F is happening here. I remember only a few snow days when school was canceled and an ice storm growing up!! Lol
As an Oklahoman I can confirm people like to watch tornadoes from the porch. But we also experience earthquakes from time to time. Now that freaks me out more than a tornado 😂
😂😂🤣🤣Love all your videos but this one about tornado my favorite! “Husband flying out of bed when hears siren” hilarious. You are such a talent! (For those of you that haven’t seen extended version that begins w spiders…search for it & watch immediately.)Thank you for sharing your massive talent & making our days better w laughter. God bless you & your family. 💕
Dorothy left Kansas because of these, I left Kansas too because of these and moved to Texas only to find they moved to Texas , and my wife had never encountered these before and she's from NYC, OMG 😂😂👍💯💯‼️‼️
I left Kansas because of the humidity, not because of tornados. I'm like, Tornado?! Ah sh*t, somebody grab us some popcorn and boiled peanuts! Kids, get the sodas! I got my camera...
I come from a country with a lot of earthquakes and I will definitely take an earthquake over a tornado. A 4 Richter scale earthquake barely moves me 😅
I've lived in earthquake country and tornado country. I think I would take a tornado over an earthquake. Tornados are somewhat predictable and you can actually see them and there's somewhere you can go to get away from them.
I am an Army Brat too. When I was ten years old, we lived in Lawton (outside of Fort Sill), Oklahoma and experienced all the tornado sirens warnings. We had no basement so my mom sat in the tub with my baby sister. My brother and I sat in the bathroom doorway frame facing each other. It was horrible. Decades later I am living in New York City (Queens) and a tornado comes through the twin 24 story buildings. My husband and I lived on the 18th floor. My husband was out on the balcony and asked me, "Why is the sky green?" I started screaming at him to get inside and go to the bathroom. Of course, he doesn't come in. I yell at him, "It's a tornado!" I also experienced an earthquake in the same apartment. It felt like I was in a roller coaster. I have never been more scared. As soon as it was over, I took the elevator down and sat in my car. I called my mom and started crying. I will take a tornado over the earthquake.
My most memorable tornado was when I was in 6th grade and our math teacher flicked the lights off for a moment (to signal that it was time to put away our little math games) *_JUST AS IT WENT DARK OUTSIDE_* ... you never heard a group of sixth graders scream that hard!
20 years ago I moved from the Inland Empire to Texas. I called my mom, crying, the first time I heard those sirens. Girl, I'll take an Earthquake, all day everyday.
I'm in Mississippi so I get tornadoes, hurricanes and small earthquakes..oh and every couple of years snow, which I love..not blizzard, no electricity, scary snow, just enough for a snowman 😊
I used to live in Cali if I felt dizzy I would look around to see if there was any chandeliers moving and I would ask am I feeling dizzy or are we having an earthquake, lol!
I had that same time experience. No text alert just the sirens. I asked my husband the same thing what is that?? He said don't worry about it go back to sleep. Yeah right! I lived in South Texas all my life never heard those sirens. At least there we had plenty of time to prepare. My children 3, and I slept in the center of the house tub covered with a twin bed mattress. I only lasted 18 months came back to Texas.. 😂😂😂
You are the best, you make me laugh every time.😂😂 And when I’m done listening to you I fast forward you to the rest of my family cuz we all love you..❤️❤️
Hello from California where we have felt 3 earthquakes over the last 3 months around magnitude 4, but now with shake alert, our phones alarm, giving us ten seconds to brace ourselves. There is always that instant rush of adrenaline every time you hear the alarm or that first "OMG it's an earthquake", but then in the next second ya just roll back over and go back to sleep usually! But yes, those tornadoes. I went to school in Ohio and wow, they had gorgeous thunderstorms and amazing skies, then then sirens go off and it's time to get into he basement. A few years ago I was in Massachusetts driving when suddenly the radio had an emergency alarm and I had to pull inot the Walmart parking lot and with a 100 people, we ran in to the store where the manager took all of quikcly to the back and of the store inside some storage area. So fun!!!!
Lol!😂 I was in Kansas and I had just pulled up to the casino on the pottawatomy Reservation there was a storm coming in a really bad storm. The security guards were standing outside yelling at me to run and to get into the building that a Tornado was coming in. Everybody in the casino what's underground underground I guess it was a basement. They took me into the basement with everybody else. You could hear all kinds of rattling and sounded like a Train above us. I was so scared because I only knew earthquakes. I had never experienced a tornado. I was so scared and then I wanted my dad and then I started to cry!😂 I told the people that I was standing next to that I was from California and we only had Earthquakes.
I’ve been through tornadoes and earthquakes, I mean really bad so neither one of them I do not wish to be a part of! But, storm surge has to be the worst for me. Waves as high as 8 to 10 feet tall and I was in a mid size boat close to the shore. That right there I thought this was it, no way we can survive this and reach the shore line in one piece. Everyone on the small boat panicked except for me. I waited patiently for what I thought would be the end, but it never came. Did I mentioned that it was only a dream? 😂
Went through a couple 5s in San Francisco back in the day. Nothing broke but the jitters lasted a while. Few years before the big '89 quake, moved East so we missed that one. Drove across country, staying in motels. When we got to Kansas, I insisted on finding a motel made out of brick. Turned the TV to the radar channel. Trouble sleeping that night. I'm with Angela, will take an earthquake over a tornado any day!
In '97 we moved from NM to DFW right in the middle of Tornado Alley. A few years later, a tornado went through downtown Ft Worth, taking out the Bank One building, my brother was stuck in traffic starring at a green wall cloud, and my sister n law was hiding in a closet wirh a toddler and 8 mos pregnant. Good times
Bro you should make friends w me bc I know you always looking for material. You welcome to critique & clown me & my husband all Day. Cuz beash we materiaaaaaal.!🤣🤙
Every californian who moves to a state that has tornadoes and they actually experience for the first time turn into dorothy and say toto i don't think we're in california anymore 😂😂😂
Facial expressions can be a key factor in standup comedy - Jackie Gleason was a master at that art. Remember his routine about the “take” and the “double take” and the “double double take.” Each of which was illustrated by a different face! Hilarious! This gal is super good with her facial expressions! Pay attention to her face when she talks about the spiders in their outdoor basement. I’ll not live long enough to see her in person, but YOU should try!
I've lived through both. The Loma Prieta earthquake of 1989, and the big-ass mother of all tornadoes in Moore, OK in 1999. I honestly couldn't say. PTSD comes with either. My family has lost EVERYTHING twice, but not our lives. For THAT, I am thankful to God Almighty!
Former Californian and Loma Prieta survivor. Earthquakes were no big deal. Moved to the Southeast and the first week I was there, there was a tornado warning. Worse storm , I ever was in. Didn't have any basement or shelter building to go to.
I’m from North Carolina and now live in Ohio. As a kid, I used to love spring because it meant summer was coming. As an adult, I hate it because it means allergies and MANY tornados. Been here five years, and every time the sirens go off (my apartment complex is right next to one), I do the same thing as Angelah. I ran downstairs one time and beat on my neighbor’s door wearing a comforter and carrying my cellphone and Keurig machine. No ID. No shoes. No charger. No keys. Left my apartment completely unlocked. I don’t know what the hell I was thinking!
In the 1990s I went to school in Ohio. I'm from California, so earthquakes earthquakes earthquakes, but in Ohio, those tornadoes and thunderstorms were so exciting especially at night when we we go on the roof and see the beauty of the stormy skies every time lightening would light it up .... the colors, wow, gorgeous. Eventually though we'd end up in some tornado basement in the building. Those storms were amazing.
Too funny Anjelah. Why save the rubber bands when you don't really use them??? I'm the same way on the twist ties from loaves of bread, I NEVER use them, but I have a zip lock bag in the drawer full of them lol too funny !!!
I've lived my whole life in and around OKC. Every spring is tornado season. You just get used to it. The WEIRD thing is how fracking has now brought earthquakes here, starting about ten years ago. Recent restrictions on fracking have greatly reduced the frequency of earthquakes, but we just had some a few days ago. 4.4 here. We had a 5.something maybe eight years ago that put a huge crack in the wall of our house. Crazy.
I am with you there Anjelah! Growing up in the Bay Area anything less than a 4.0 is like a foot massage! I remember working my first job as a long distance operator and we had an earthquake. Everyone else was diving under their consoles, like if the 3 foot thick concrete walls came down that was going to save them. I just kicked back in my chair and watched the waves going across the blue carpeted floor, and when I say that sh*t looked like waves in the water you best believe! The building was built on marsh land so it was pretty cool to see what an earthquake actually looks like. Fun times I tell ya! Only other natural disaster I have been through was a hurricane back in 1983 when I was stationed at Pearl Harbor. What a "welcome to Hawaii" that was! 🤣👻Just read it again and need to edit, it was 1982//had a senior moment before😁
You're absolutely hilarious as usual I'm from the South myself and believe me we've had some weird weather! We had a tornado in Lynchburg Virginia and it tore the living crap out of one of our streets and we don't get tornadoes like that!
I'm from California, I live in Arkansas for over 30 years, I would rather deal with a tornado than the earthquake,a tornado you know about it and prepare but you never know how big an earthquake will be
I love her she's so hilarious like why don't we we have more like her now in days comedians try to be funny but they really not in list Anjelah Johnson is very original 👏🏽💯
I have lived in Cali and have experienced an earthquake. I'm in Oklahoma where they have LOTS of tornadoes.....I choose earthquakes over tornadoes....all day!
I agree very devasting earthquake happen maybe once every generation; devasting tornados happened several time during the same year and it is getting worst every year.
A. the largest tornado recorded was only 2 miles wide, most are less than 1/4 mile wide. Most only last a few seconds, though some can last a few minutes. The PATH of the tornado is what's more important. if you're in the path, you need shelter, if you're not in the path, just watch to make sure it doesn't turn your way. you have warnings before a tornado and they can actually predict them up to 4 hours beforehand. B. earthquakes can affect HUNDRENDS of square miles and there is virtually no warnings. (scientist can measure minor waves right beforehand, but it can be as little as a few seconds). I would much rather live in the worst tornado country than earthquake zones... and this is from a person that lived in CA for 10+ years and in OK, TX, LA (Louisiana to you CA tards), & AR (among many other states and countries)
I’m from Texas 956 area/H-town. We never had a basement. I have only seen a few tornados. Hurricanes are not scary for me. A 3.5 or 4 earthquake is nothing for me. However, I was transferred to Guam a couple of months ago and this fucking earthquakes are not joke. The highest that I have felt is a 5.7 usually they average about 5-5.4. The first time I felt an earthquake I almost crapped my pants and I was scared. Now I’m used to this types of earthquakes but I just hope that I don’t get to experience an earthquake higher than a 5.7.
:- ) = Anjelah...you are so gifted! cute, funny, mesmerizing to watch, listen to...and, beyond clean. Kudos to you. Bless your Heaaaaart. So many comedians base their routines on cursing, using God's name in vain, vulgarity. You? -- on plain, simple intelligence -- syncing your movements with the stories and accents. Even Bob Hope, Jack Benny got their laughs by a well-placed, but predictable look at the camera or arm gesture. What you do is so beyond their schtick. Being young as you are you may not have kept up with Carol Burnett's TV presence; however, after her plastic surgery, she was no longer funny -- too attractive, no longer could she deliver the previous homely countenance. Even her Tarzan yell lost its appeal. You, my dear, you've started out pretty . Keep it up. See what our Lord God has in store for you as you progress. Keep it straight; keep it clean.
I can feel for you, sister. My husband was in the Air Force and we moved all over. We had tornadoes in Florida earthquakes in California. 52 days of rain a.k.a. not even Noah had to go through that in Germany. Tornado in North Carolina. 20 years of moving around so far no big emergencies at home in Virginia and he dug a basement because our house we bought didn’t have one. It’s got indoor and outdoor entrance so you’re good to go.
A sign of really good comedian is one who can have you in stitches without having to use shock words to get a cheap thrill. Shows real talent.
EXACTLY!!
She’s amazing
She talks about things we all get
Asparagus rubber bands in the junk drawer 😂
Absolutely
She's sooooo legit. Doesn't try to turn a TEDtalk into comedy in vain like a great few.
"but you said we could WATCH IT!!!" 😂😂😂

I've lived my whole life in and around OKC. Every spring is tornado season. You just get used to it. The WEIRD thing is how fracking has now brought earthquakes here, starting about ten years ago. Recent restrictions on fracking have greatly reduced the frequency of earthquakes, but we just had some a few days ago. 4.4 here. We had a 5.something maybe eight years ago that put a huge crack in the wall of our house. Crazy.
She's good. Real good. Thanks.
I grew up in Oklahoma, we watch tornados from the porch.
Junk drawer....I can't find anything sifting through it too!!
Wish they all could be California girls 🌴blessings 🙌
That was a Great Laugh😂😂😂🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽Thank You
I'm from California, I live in Arkansas for over 30 years, I would rather deal with a tornado than the earthquake,a tornado you know about it and prepare but you never know how big an earthquake will be
We get both earthquakes and tornadoes in the south. Many people don’t know that.
Evidence of ‘Storytelling Genes’.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Omg. Throw back. You look so young. I love your comedy. Can't wait to see you back on stage❤

Calli born and raised living in the south. Give me a earth quake over tornadoes every day
I have lived in Cali and have experienced an earthquake.
Pure gold!! 😎
One of mt favorite comedians! So Funny and Clean comedy!
Love her saw her in El paso for my birthday. Best birthday ever . And boy she loved my cowboy hat 🤠 she was super funny
As a southerner, I have a completely different perspective! And yes it is ALWAYS silver. 😂😂😂
You're one of my favorite comedians. So funny.
She is my favorite comedian...
Corection California do have tornados these days and Washington St and Oregon does as well since like 2008
What???? southerners use rubber bands all the time.Yup those blue asparagus bands are the best, Thick and string. Use one a week!!!!
