This is my favorite new UA-cam channel! My husband and our two kids spent an hour watching your videos last night! Love the content guys, keep it up!!
I'm doing the same now. Lol
I watched for about 8 hrs straight!!! I just love them! ❤
Totally agree!
OH NO KIDDING AREN'T THEY INCREDIBLE THESE TWO!!!! SO UPLIFTING!!!!💓💓💓💓💓💓💓
I spent all day yesterday watching. Love them!!
“Slumber party anthem”. That right there is the perfect description of what was Spicemania from 1996-2000 🤓
That line cracked me up!
100% accurate LOL
facts, slumber party didn’t start bumping until spice girls came on 🤣
Yep, sang that at many slumber parties
When he started describing that I was like...💯
Anyone else feel old when they said "back in the day?" That shot me.
🤣🤦🏻♀️ OMG same
I’m Like Bruh! then que the faint meme
Lol yeah felt quite attacked 🤣🤣🤣❤️
Yesterday is back in the day for these people
When they referred to High school musical as a "classic". Then remember it came out like 15 years ago 🙃
"Why does this sound like an anthem where girls at slumber parties throw pillows at each other and jumping on the bed?"..... DUDE, BECAUSE THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT WE DIIIIID! 😅😂 Kind regards from someone who turns 30 years old this year and officially feels ancient xD
Yeh, I'm sure this featured at my end of year 6 disco... (that's equivalent to 5th grade in the US)
31 y/o here! I second your statement! lol
YUP. My friends and I even had a Spice Girls-themed sleepover 😂I was Posh! Never felt cooler.
Did you hear that High School Musical is a “classic?” That’s what did it for me. 😂
But WHY do these boys know about what goes on at a slumber party in the first place?
100 percent can confirm this song was played at every girl's slumber party in the late 90s.
And still played on any girls roadtrip today!
@@1sTEfFaniE1 true me and my friends who are between ages 18,19 and 20 years old love this song we even played it once in the classroom lol Iconic songs are timeless
I’m 40 and I’m feeling so old when I realize someone old enough to drive a car hasn’t heard songs that I assumed everyone knows.
I’m 36 and I’m right there with you haha
SAME. Over here feeling like a Granny. 🤣. I love that they're listening to all kinds of music with open minds!
Can I get an AHEM😖😖😖
😂 right!
Right! I'm in my 20s and cant belive a lot these songs they never heard!
I laughed so hard at the pillow fight comment. I'm the oldest of three girls and when this came out I was about 20 and into different music. This is the music my youngest sister would blast through the house, screaming with her little friends.
The Spice Girls were an interesting phenomenon and this was an enormous hit.
I liked the Malibu comment!
@Jorja Lee I was goth by this point and I still know every word... ziggazigg ahh
Right? ☺️
“They so hyper.” Theses guys make me laugh so hard with one-liners.
Yessss! They have me cracking UP!
"Free your mind" by EnVogue. Thats some pipes on those young ladies
Yes yes yes! Check out some seriously good girl group music, please!
The rest... Will follow.
Facts
ANYTHING BY ENVOGUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My thoughts exactly. Free Your Mind is the most badass girl group song ever.
This song was basically a number 1 hit EVERYWHERE. Spice Girls started a whole Girl Power movement the next couple of years. Absolutely huge group.
I remember one night the radio station that would do the “top 10 requested songs” each night, just went ahead and played this 10 times in a row😂😂
I hate this song! 😭
It was so everywhere that I'm surprised they've never heard it before
Didn't they even release a movie?
It was also during a period of renewed interest in things British, the so-called Cool Britannia. Americans at the time were thoroughly interested in the pop culture of Britain and most would consider themselves Anglophiles. Nowadays, I think the public school system and all the immigrants we've brought in have flipped it. More Americans hate Britain and see it as a relic of colonialism and everything bad in the world.
I can't speak for anyone else, but - in a year of turmoil & sadness, you guys have brought a smile to my face. I thank you. 🙏🏾
Oh, I love it! My cheeks hurt! haha
Mizz604 agreed 100%
Yed
@Mizz604 , its been a crazy year for sure 😳🇬🇧
Omg, these kids weren’t even born when this song was popular. I feel old...
They're 22. They were born just as the Spice Girls were peaking lol.
Never let anyone under 25 talk about music. It just makes you feel ancient... I know this too well, as a man who will be 30 next month 😞
True story! I love these guys. Remind me of my sons 💛
Same age as my kids - raised on Spice Girls and High School Musical (whether I liked it or not). My point ... there is no way that they are hearing this song for the first time.
IceMetalPunk Ah but some early 20s colleagues I know have been heavily influenced by their parents music so like a lot of 70s-90s stuff... I was born in the late 60s and in the mid 80s, I knew a hell of a lot of 60s stuff and we had no internet or Spotify. It is surprising the stuff these dudes don’t know even given their age
“It seems like they got positive energy... uplifting” Yes that’s exactly it! The Spice Girls were a phenomenon back then.
That's what it exactly was, a girl's anthem. Their slogan was GIRL POWER
“I’ll tell you what I want what I really really want”! My daughter made me like the Spice Girls😀
Ya...trooin' pellows!!
You arent wrong. Spice Girls were the first time i realized girls could be strong and kick ass. My preteen self fell in love with them instantly. At 33 I still listen to them once in a while when I wanna just jam out and be cheesey happy.
Haha 100% jumping around throwing pillows at slumber parties.
Can confirm, this was a sleepover anthem in the late 90s.
I love how open minded these guys are...and honestly kind sweet. Just outstanding personalities. Their parents must be proud of having raised two such terrific men.
The Spice Girls was one of the first all girl groups to really push Girl Power - for a girl growing up in the 90’s, they opened my mind to being a strong female 🌸✌🏼
The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony. You’ll be on the lyrics and you won’t be able to take your eyes off the video.
Yes, yes, yes...a thousand times yes to this.
Everyone should react to that song if they haven't heard it yet.
Yes mate!!
Honestly I would love to see someone else experience that song for the first time!
YAAAASSSSSSSSSSSS PLEASE!!!
I was never into The Spice Girls but my sister was and when I went to college in Hawaii, many many international students loved them. Total girl power and a following. Even if you're not into their music, you gotta recognize their impact. Global.
"Why does this feel like a slumber party anthem?" ... because IT WAS 😂
"Why does this sound like an anthem where girls at slumber parties throw pillows at each other and jumping on the bed?"..
how dare you call me out like this.
I could ask my friends if they want to do that when they come over next week, but more likely it'll be karaoke battles (we're musicals nerds and they're both know more than I do) and battle of the Hogwarts houses (we're all in different houses, except our other friend who's in Hufflepuff isn't coming, so we'll have to leave them out as pacifists...but I will defend Ravenclaw honour by proving courage and cunning are all very well, but a good brain thinks outside the box).
You guys gotta listen to “Zombie” by the Cranberries!!
I could not agree more. These two have such a good ear for great vocals, lyrics and musicianship.
Yeah 😍
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes. It is an amazing song!
Yes!!
Gotta do “Under Pressure” by Queen and David Bowie!
They already did, my dude.
Levi Dodson then they should do Ice Ice Baby and discuss the difference 😆😆😆
Yes!!
ua-cam.com/video/Im3RqfL2n80/v-deo.html
But they did the live concert one not the one with Bowie
Omg YES!!! Under pressure
when they brake into the dance routine reminds me why I find Tiktok so funny. All these teens today thinking they’re on a new trend - nah you’re all just dancing like you’re in a 90s pop band
Everything old is new again, which can be said about so many things, clothes, shoes, dancing, music, hair styles, even food/recipes, etc. I remember being very surprised when, in my late twenties, I saw photos of my mum, when she was in her early twenties, in a dress and shoes that were in fashion or her time and mine.
When we do things on tiktok do things we dont think were on a new trend we bring yall old ass trends back and make them better bc when yall did it, it was cringe but when we do it it’s fashionable.
But no disrespect tho bc i was raised better than that but it’s annoying when old people say we think were on a new trend like NAHH we know were on yall old trend but we make it better.
I just got a new appreciation for TikTok after reading this 🤯
This song is basically 90's childhood in the UK! Ultimate nostalgia!
90ies childhood in EUROPE!
90s childhood in Damascus, Syria AND the UK over here!
90s childhood in the US and Canada too!😊
I guess I stand corrected! :')
Aww i love the replies to this comment. It shows that everyone in the world can come together when it comes to music!
Good old Sporty, Baby, Scary, Ginger and Posh Spice and Girl Power 90s pop.
WiccanRai this came out when I was in high school and now they’re all moms. Man I feel old as hell right now.
Just the best, the best girl band. Great music, great personalities, just the best all around. There never was another girl pop group like that before or after them.
if you want a 90s girl anthem listen to TLC- scrubs
Wilson Phillips Hold On!!
It’s not anywhere near an anthem as wannabe tho
FOESHOW
YES. I want to see them react to any TLC. No Scrubs, Creep, or even Red Light Special. Ohhhh, or could go with some OG sing like What About Your Friends!
Well if it’s TLC it’s gotta be waterfalls for sure
You guys should listen to some George Michael/ Wham - Careless Whisper or Everything She Wants.
Also Wicked Game by Chris Isaak. Chris and George both have such killer voices.
Julia totally agree on both!
Wicked Game!
Father Figure - the keys are beautiful; the entire song is!!!!!
"Positive energy." That's exactly what the spice girls were about! So fun watching you two enjoy music. 🥰
Girl Power
The Spice Girls movie was pretty fun and campy. Their names were Scary, Baby, Ginger, Sporty, and Posh. It was a thing.
Joscelyne... What you mean...was?
@@SifuHallyu Past tense. It WAS
fun and campy. It came out in 97
I still know every word to that movie.
Play something by Duran Duran like "The Reflex", "Wild Boys", "Rio", "Hungry Like The Wolf", "Save a Prayer", etc! Best video band ever and the music is on point!!
Or how about The Chauffeur?
@@promontorium I love that song and video! And songs/videos like Girls on Film, Friends of Mine, New Moon on Monday, Notorious, I Don’t Want Your Love, and more!!❤️❤️
The reflex gets me PUMPED
You guys nailed it on the head: girls listening to this at a sleepover. It was teeny-bopper music when it came out. A girl version of a "boy band".
Otherwise known as a girl band...
I highly recommend "West End Girls" by the Pet Shop Boys
Yes
Oh YES!
Listen to and share, Barren Claude - Balsamic and Summertime Drive.
Sorry but the east 17 one is better🤭
Indeed
I was already in my 20's when the Spice Girls came out. But I might as well have been 13, because I loved them so much. Great memories. Love your channel ❤
Me too! 22! I adore them to this very day!
My love for the Spice Girls is never ending! Lol I went NUTS for them when they first came out (I might've still been in elementary or middle school) and last year, I went all the way to London for their reunion tour. Over 20 years later and they STILL look and sound amazing. They STILL have that awesome energy. ❤❤❤❤❤
Please do Blue oyster cult- Don't Fear the Reaper
Agreed! And be sure to add more cow bell!
YES
MORE COWBELL.
I got a fever and the only prescription is more cowbell!
Daaaaaamn that's a good one!
love that you guys are being diverse at listening to music...
"They're so hyper!" he says. They were! I think that was their whole appeal :D I love that you noticed the old lady too....she featured in many 90's film clips if I recall correctly.
The rapper is Mel B, they called her Scary Spice. She was a judge on AGT up until last summer.
I was certain they'd recognize Mel B and Victoria Beckham at some stage.
And she has a daughter with Eddie Murphy.
@Baba Raisa's House: Ukrainian Soul Stories . It was Smash Hits pop magazine in Britain that called her Scary Spice. She said looking back it was kind of racist.
Still can't believe they did that in 1 take. Mel C's backflip is perfect 🥰
Agree on both! I was looking to see if anyone was going to mention the video was taken with one shot.
I was today years old when I found out this was filmed 🎥 in 1 take! 😱
They did a couple of takes. You mean they did it in one shot.
I remember seeing footage of her at a dance/performance event where she is watching the other dancers - she was focussed af.
Please react to “You oughta know” by Alanis Morissette
YES! So raw!
Great choice
Oh yes !!! And ironic too
I would love to see them react to Alanis!
Yes!!
He literally perfectly described what singing this song at a slumber party was like and it has me cackling 😂😂😂😂
I was born six years after this song. And I love the Spice Girls. Best girl band of all time. They were unique and their bond so beautiful. They also opened doors to new girl bands.
You need to listen to David Bowie. “Changes” or “Space Oddity”.
Starman!!!
Under Pressure with Freddy Mercury or Annie Lennox (at the FM Tribute concert)!
"Heroes", but anything from Bowie will do
yes
Modern love
The other day my mum and I came across you guys when we were home alone, 7 hours later my partner gets home. Needless to say we hadn’t moved lol you guys are awesome!!’
Did you guys know that each of the Spice Girls had a spice name? They were “Ginger Spice, Baby Spice, Sporty Spice, Posh Spice and Scary Spice.” Isn’t that a hoot?!?
And they are among the 11 accounts followed on Twitter by KFC
And they were still dire.
Yup, the secret 11 herbs and spices for KFC are hidden in plain sight!
My Second Favourite Band after The Owls............they're a hoot too...:)
I just love the fact that you wrote hoot, that is an great comment right there! Love it! True those their names are some what comical, but in a good way.
Hard to believe David Beckham’s wife of bouncing around in that video.
Yes, Posh Spice. She seemed more lively back then. Now she looks angry all the time or maybe just hungry.
& one had a baby with Eddie Murphy

The Go-Go’s - “ We Got The Beat”
Try listening to Walk this way by Aerosmith and Run DNC, it'll blast you off your chairs :-)
Yeah that was the original and ultimate rock/rap collaboration. That song flowed and work so easily in both genres, and both bands were able to stay true to themselves....
I agree! An essential
They did that already
@@domkarpinska2681 Oh did they Let me check that out. Thanks. I'm looking at so many of their videos I haven't even able to scroll down much.....
@@domkarpinska2681 I don't see "Walk this Way" on a search. I see they did Antrrax and RUN DMC "Bring the Noise". But luckily, I see that they did Aerosmith's "Dude Looks Like a Lady". I get to check that out I always like that song. I'd love to see them react to "Love in an Elevator". For whatever reason I was a fan of Steven Tyler and David Lee Roth. That's what MTV, cheap Beer, and cold pizza did to a brotha's head back in college LOL!!!!...
This group was all about girl power. They all had nicknames.
Baby Spice: Blonde, her name is Emma
Ginger Spice: Red and gold Sequined Top, her name is Geri
Posh Spice: Black Dress, her name is Victoria Beckham
Scary Spice: Green Top, her name is Melanie Brown.
Sporty Spice: Orange sports bra, she's Melanie Chisholm.
“Five different voices together sounds good”
You should check out “Have You Seen Her” by The Chi-Lites
The Chi-Lites, yes!
Yes yes yes!!!!!
Why, oh why???
🔥🔥🔥🔥
The first girl who sung was Mel B. America's got Talent.
She hasn't aged!
Loved her in the 90s
I don't know how I stumbled upon you, but I'm so glad I did. You make me so happy with your sincere reactions. I love that you are open to listening to every genre. You both seem like good boys - your mama must be so proud! Keep doing what you're doing.
Would love to see you listen to Aaliyah ...queen of R&B for us kids from the 80s
I was just turning 16 when this came out. I had a Summer job and this was on the radio ALL the time. It was the ultimate ‘girl power’ anthem.
I think what I love about this channel is that they are open to hear “new” music from before their time. Some other videos of younger people reacting to older music tends to be more cynical and they act like they hate the music or that the music is irrelevant. These twins just be having fun. I love that
The spice girls were a girl's anthem back in the day.
I'm a 54 year old momma/grandmomma and this channel is MY FAVORITE!!!!!!! I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF THESE YOUNG MEN!!!!! please keep it up. I for one love you 2!!!
Thank you!
Trish Bell
I grew up on the Spice Girls. Had all their albums. So glad I stumbled upon your channel.
Miss the 90s so badly..less dramas lots of loving all around good vibes 😊😊😊😊😊
Fun fact, the Spice Girls actually co-wrote all their songs.
Wow, didn't know that
That's why they're still millionaires.
Ever hear billy idol? Songs like 'Rebel Yell' (not those rebels ha) and 'white wedding' were chart toppers
I love Rebel Yell!!!
Gotta put “Eyes Without A Face” in there as well.
...or some Atomic Playboys....love Steve Stevens guitarwork!!!
Another British female band you should listen to in that era is: All Saints - Never Ever
D3LIC8 Yes! They definitely need to listen to All Saints.
V Shaw Yes! 🙌 And All Saints as a group still produces music till this day unlike the Spice Girls..their last album together was like uuuhm 20 years ago? Each member only released solo albums afterwards, oh and just tours.
All Saints is arguably the better band imo.
Pure Shores is still a tune I play regularly.
Cessate absolutely! 😄 Got Pure Shores on CD single and a few more 😁never stopped listening to them, even the stuff they released recently is so good!
T00T00T I wasn’t aware that All Saints were still producing. Will have to check that out. Thanks!
Request: Spice Girls - Say You'll Be There.
Ultimate TRL video! 😂🤣
Yaaaassss!!
Far superior to wannabe!!!
RUN DMC - It's Tricky
oh they’ll love that
Yes.
YES!!!!!
Ooo yah!!!
Best suggestion yet!!
David Bowie-Life on Mars and Eagles-Hotel California both have hits for days. Thanks guys. Love your reactions!
We need Bowie!!
Yes - Life On Mars - epic. Based on the song My Way
Thank you, for this comment/recommendation (It is refreshing to see). They will absolutely appreciate and enjoy them. Well, said!!!
@@abbyn3279 Always!!
hotties3v3n She Loves things....jewelry, cars, etc.
"Back in the day"... Damn y'all making me feel old!😂
“Slumber party anthem” is the best way this could have been summed up.
MY CHILDHOOD! Spice Girls was the first CD I owned and got it for my birthday in 2nd grade lmao. And you were right, we did sing it and dance around at sleepovers in elementary school!!
¡Selena por favor! “Como La Flor,” “Amor Prohibido,” “Baila Esta Cumbia,” or “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom.” Her English singles hit diff after seeing her biopic starring JLo. One of the best to ever do it.
Yes! I'd love to see them react to Selena!
Agreed, they need to hear some Spanish music!
Yes! I messaged them on Instagram. Selena!
@@frankiloya8233 Here's hoping they pick some Selena. (Because that note in Coma La Flor, wooooow.)
@@BlueIcyRose 'Coma La Flor'...Yes!
You guys watching legendary icons and pausing it to say 'high school musical; classic' has made my night.
Love this song still - I was into my 20's when they came out but this was playing at all the night clubs and on the radio. Great fun memories xxx
Play Gloria Estafan The Rhythm is Going To Get You .
That's a good one, that'll get em...
You really should listen to Gloria Estafan. She makes happy, bouncy music that is as energetic as a Florida thunderstorm.
That is SUCH a good song.
or doctor beat
That and Conga!
"It's like a big sleepover." Hahaha! Truer words about the Spice Girls have never been said. I literally karaoked "Stop" at my high school Frosh lock-in :)
My 13-year-old year group lip synced Stop for a TERRIBLE Christmas house play at boarding school 😂 We had Geri throw a strop and quit the band after her balloon b**bs popped. So silly!
Gotta love Fred commenting on how hyper the girls are - hilarious - Mrs. R.
I was in my 20's when this dropped. I used to watch this video with the sound on mute. No further explanation.
Notice how the video is a single shot with no cuts. The camera just travels around following them .
@Simply_Amazing It was actually filmed as one continuous shot. There are no cuts.
Highly recommend “Folsom Prison Blues” by Johnny cash. Released in the 50’s and still an amazing song today!
it's sooo fun watching you guys and how your reactions are genuine
Mel B's energy!!!
I absolutely love these guys! they give every song a chance. Love their reactions. Keep up the great work!
You were spot on with the sleepover comment, this is an anthem for every girl who heard it in the 90s. Love you guys and your videos, spreading such genuine joy through your openness. Keep that light strong. Would love to see you react to Sinead O'connor - Nothing Compares To You or Thinking of You - Sister Sledge
Your positivity and inclusiveness is going to skyrocket this channel to a million + subs in no time. You guys rock.

Can y’all do Hanson’s MMMBop next??!!! ☺️
I LOVE that song.
Do “Bridge Over Troubled Water” by Simon & Garfunkel

"Blame it on the Boogie" by the Jackson 5!! The bass guitar, Michael's vocals, 70s music video effects and moves... give it a watch & listen!
