There is something beautiful about watching a new generation experience hip hop from a different era and witness how the richness of artistry transcends time and space. Now the real trip is remember when I first heard Lauryn sing this and then going back to discover Roberta Flack. All of this gives me goosebumps.

I love watching these guys! I think their reactions are truly genuine, loved watching them seeing Jolene by Dolly Parton and the Creep by Radiohead. They have no weird preconceptions about they style of music or the genre. My one question, did their moms not play music when they were growing up?? My family had music playing all the time, I love all styles of music going back to the 50s and I'm an 80s/90s kinda girl

You've never heard of The Fugees!?!?!? They were EVERYTHING! I owned this CD and scratched it listening so many times. How Many Mics, Fu-Gee-La, Ready or Not(!!!!!!!)...you must listen! Also if you've never listened to Lauryn Hill you need to listen to her debut in full. Every song is a banger, I promise! Wyclef Jean's album The Carnival is also good, he sings in Hatian, he does a great song using Staying Alive by the Bee Gees...it's so good

That’s rare where all types of fans bases love and appreciate your work on a particular album. I feel like each passing year, people forget about the fugees. I still prefer pac, big, big l and wu-tang but none of those guys did well commercially (when they were alive pac/big) than the Fugees did with “the score”

Kids today don't listen to the radio like we did. We heard these incredible songs from a fairly wide scope over and over and over. They find their music on social media, streaming services, and video gaming: Tik Tok, Instagram, UA-cam, Snapchat, Twitch, Roblox, etc... often used as background. So while we were "served" playlists on limited channels and platforms (radio, TV, cable, Albums/Tapes/Cds/Videos/DVDs), they have far more options (extensive media, endless sites) - the world has opened up.

@@shibalover54 I saw Roberta Flack sing at an outdoor concert many years ago. In the middle of this song, this song, of any it could have been, the amplifiers lost power. She just kept on singing, clear and strong. I had to strain to listen, but could still hear her, even in that big, flat, open, area. If it was indoors, I'll bet even the back row would have heard. Power was restored just before the song ended. I'll never forget that show!
