This was their final album in 2000. Ginger left the group by this point . She was on the first two albums though. This final album was more R&B influenced because they worked with Darkchild production (Rodney jerkins ). They were more pop before

It’s funny; if they did it by their astrological signs, Mel B (Gemini) and Emma (Aquarius) are both air signs, Vic is fire (Aries). Geri too was fire (Leo). But Mel C actually is an earth sign, Capricorn. But I guess it works for Emma as an Aquarius (water, symbolically) lol

I don’t know about BEST vocals, it was a little hastily produced from what I read… they have stronger vocals on other songs and strong harmonies; songs like Something Kinda Funny, Naked, Mama, 2 become 1, Goodbye… I love Holler though

The Spice Girls were HUGE! Not just in the UK but also in the US and the rest of the world. There has been no pop girl group since then that has matched their level of success.
Felt longer to me when I was a kid but I think because they were so massive worldwide non stop number 1s after number 1s worldwide, breaking records, was so jam packed as to their success….Little mix broke a couple of records beating them and others to 9 almost 10years, only group in history to stay together non stop ongoing without any members leaving, any hiatus. Also little mix only girlband to ever win Brit awards for best group
👑 SPICE GIRLS were and are the best and most successful girl group of all time and are iconic legends who reinvented pop rock and brought it back. They paved the road for many others including Adele who is obsessed with them and gives them credit for her vocals and career. The group is still huge and their 2019 tour proves it. They take the crown whenever they want it and come back. No one really remembers names in groups and etc. Almost everyone knows them and their songs whether they love them or not. Other girl groups after them are so boring and have no charisma. The songs are all autotunes. The Spice girls didn't do autotune techniques until Holler pretty much. The b-side Outer Space girls has fun things in it but it sounds great. The pussycatt dolls were just models. Nicole was the only one you can hear singing. I didn't get into other groups. I liked sledge hammer ok by that one girl group and one or two songs by whenever else but my point is nothing is memorable as Spice Girls ❤ They stand the test of time and happy 25th Anniversary girls! 🤘😎
Best to say 1996 to 2001 for the girls because they released Forever on November 1st 2000 and then said in December that they are going to concentrate on solo careers. So 1996 to 2001. The Box music channel ended in January 2001 =( That time zone was so sad. Crazy that it was 20 years ago =/

In a kind way you don't know facts so why say anything.. They ARE the biggest girl group of all time and were the biggest girl group of all time. They toured in 2019 and are putting out new things now and they sold that tour even faster than they did when the world was Spiceworld. :) 👍
🌟 Hi guys I hate how some people down below commented when they don't even know the facts.. Anyway I'm a huge fan of The Spice Girls. They were huge and still are huge. They just toured in 2019 and sold out faster than they did when it was Spiceworld in 97 and 98. They are the girl Beatles. Biggest girl band of all time. Scary is Mel B, Baby is Emma, Ginger is Geri, Posh is Victoria and Sporty is Mel C. Geri left in mid 1998 after their second album. She was part of albums Spice and Spice world. The four did a song called Goodbye in 1999 for her and toured still. Then they put out a new album on November 1st 2000 with this song Holler as their 1st single from their album called Forever. They broke up soon after and then all 5 got back together in 2007/2008 the tour was fantastic I saw it live in New Jersey. They came back in 2012 to do the Olympics and after that performance they hit #1 on iTunes and their albums took the top ten. In 2019 they toured without Victoria. Paramount pictures is said to be working on a animation movie where they will do their voices for each girls character. =) The left guy is sooo cute, you're my type. :) Do a review for Spice up your life and make sure it's set to be at 1080p quality :) I subscribed to watch you guys :) 👍
This was their first single as a quartet. Geri left at the height of their Spice World tour in 1998. As the 4 remaining girls continued with the last leg of that tour, during down time they recorded their 3rd and final album, and this song was the lead single. A departure from their signature pop/dance tune, the album and single introduced a groove-oriented, R&B direction.

when this song came out in the US, radio stations were sent a "U.S. Radio Edit" that took out the darkchild like "Spice Girls" at the very beginning and just went to "Darkchild 2000" and they released it as the "Mystery artist" cos they weren't taken seriously and just a pop group so they wanted to get reaction to the song first before announcing who it was to see if people were just haters cos they were the spice girls and let the music speak for itself. check out 2 become one, viva forever, stop, spice up your life, too much, wannabe (which was shot in one take) or just binge all of them lol. glad you liked them. oh, and check out their performance at the 2012 Olympics and who do you think you are at the brits. both iconic performances, seriously ICONIC

Geri, Ginger Spice, left the group in 1998, they were originally 5, and this song Holler was part of their third studio album, Forever, released in 2000. But then she eventually came back for the first reunion of the group in 2007-2008. Then in 2019 they had another bunch of concerts but the one missing this time was Victoria, it’s not that she “left” the group, she decided to not take part in that show, apparently ( from what I read) she followed advice from the board of her fashion company.
Yes, there was originally 5 girls. They are the biggest girl group of all time. Their first single, “Wannabe” is their biggest hit and was no.1 in basically every country in ‘96/‘97. Almost every single they released went no.1 worldwide for several years. The 5 original girls, ranked from best voice to worst:
1) Melanie C (nicknamed Sporty Spice because she was always in athletic clothes early on. She had the best voice by far of the group. Really powerful too. She has the short hair and is in the tank top in this video. She usually had longer dark hair)
2) Emma (Baby Spice because she was the youngest. She is the blonde. She has the higher, sweet voice. Her voice was the most consistent and on pitch. You can hear her voice the most in all most of the choruses because of that. She was the vocal anchor. She also took care of her voice the best over the years. She sounds the same today as she did back in ‘96).
3) Mel B (Scary Spice because of her “in your face & unapologetic” attitude. She is, or was, a coach on America’s got talent or one of those shows here. She had a deeper, warm voice. Her and Victoria sang the lower end vocals. Her and Emma complemented each other really well when they sang the chorus of “viva forever”. Unfortunately, she didn’t take care of her voice. Smoking and other stuff ruined it. She probably has the worst voice now)
4) Victoria (Posh Spice because of her upper middle class upbringing. Her dad was a lawyer and helped them a lot legally early on). She was raised singing musical theatre, so her voice is a little bit more campy/jazzy. Her voice is deeper and fuller as well. She and Mel B sang the lower end vocals.
5) Geri (Ginger Spice because she was the redhead. A lot of people would put her above Victoria, but vocal coaches disagree. She talk-sings. The producers usually layered Emma’s voice or one of the Melanie’s behind Geri’s to make Geri sound better. She left after the 2nd album. This song is from their 3rd album).

Yeah, there were 5 but Ginger left and Posh, Scary, Baby, and Sporty were left. I used to love this song as a kid and was excited for the Spice Girls to crossover into y2k, but this album was their last before they went their separate ways.

You guys review music and you don’t know who The Spice Girls are 👀. Literally one of the most successful music acts of all time and culturally incredibly important. They sold like 100million records and in 90s where the biggest act in the world, closest thing to Beatle mania. Maybe you guys are like really young. 🤷♂️ just shocked, no bad vibes, that you didn’t know who they were.

None of that is true. If it wasn't for TLC's and Destiny's Child 1999 albums, maybe this song wouldn't exist like this. Back then, both Christina and Beyoncé (via Destiny's Child) were hitting it big. Aaliyah would die the following year ("Holler" and the last Spice Girls original album were released in 2000 and she died in 2001).
