Your cables from the battery to the inverter should have been about 2 gauge for a 1200 watt draw, I think. I would like to have seen a more extensive noise test. For instance, how much noise with a 50 watt draw, a 100 watt draw, a 700 watt draw, etc.
High frequency, light duty inverters like this ampeak offer poor surge capacities and shorter life expectancy than real inverters that use low frequency, transformer based technology.
