It's not aluminum. It's steel. Stick a magnet to it and you'll see...
How do you charge thr battery itself?
Nice, fits great in the EZGO! You’ll have a blast I’m sure, be safe!
It does! Thanks for watching. Video about driving coming soon ;-)
No such thing as a 8kw. It's Chinese marketing it's only a 5 at best because espar patent expired and it was only a 4kw
Let me know how this can be tested and I'm happy to give it a try to get a real number on how much heat it does produce :-)
Can it be ran in parallel with another one to get 210Ah?
Thanks for watching! According to the manufacturer it's not meant to be in a parallel configuration. Just a single golf cart battery.
I have an everyday use case using Venus to auto-start an Onan diesel generator. You would think this would be easy, but it is not. The generator must be primed before it starts, which requires a delay. So, this is more challenging than an on/off scenario, and the Victron Cerbo GX can't do it now. According to the Victron documentation, it will require at least two different relays. I have seen it done with four different relays connected to Relay 1 of the Cerbo GX. Relays: 1 Stop/prime (Stops it before priming it to start). 2 TImer 3 Start 4 Stop Amazingly, the Victron Cerbo GX can't auto-start/stop the most popular generator worldwide.
no longer making this
Can we look up the cells? would like to see the amp tests

How did it end up working for you? Did you even install a winch on it, or use the recovery loops on the front? Wondering if it would just fold up, or actually handle any stress. Thanks for the video!
Great video! Thanks! I thought the loose items in mine were from the shipping impact! Guess not!
Thanks for watching and stopping by ;-) luckily no shipping impact besides a non working temp sensor (one of them)
Hi tobi. thanks for your videos they have helped me a lot. i'm trying to get the 3.2 inch rpi lcd v4 by WaveShare spotpear to work with no luck so far. has anyone got this working. I'm using the pi zero 2w and a Ethernet USB HUB HAT. Hopefully making a tiny version for my camper

i tried to follow it. it doesnt work with my board. it has 4 relays on pins29.31.33.35. after rebooting raspberry pi loosing connection with wifi and bluetooth.
works great without any additional resistor with this sensor setup - THX !!

On the side sticker they state to avoid mechanical shock. How would that work in a boat hitting waves? Even with it secured and strapped the battery will still be getting shaken internally to the case. Any thoughts or insight? I really appreciate your videos!
Thanks for watching! That's a tricky question. You saw the inside of the suitcase - it looks really strong in the metal cage. I would assume they just want to make sure they are not liable or responsible for any warranty cases if you drop it or anything actually hitting against the suitcase. As long as you have the suitcase somewhere where it is not fallen off the bench for example, I would say you should be safe. I saw so many more IP65/67 rated Group 24/31 batteries which do have less quality when it comes to the internal built quality. I think waves on a boat should not be a problem - but that is just my opinion and I'm not on boats a lot - so my experience is limited. But looking and comparing this battery with others - this is much stronger. I hope this helps a little.
I bought four of those panels and a grid tie inverter....sorry once I saw that solar panel METER...I had to order. EDIT; I have a broken one, any ideas on recycling it myself?
I'm curious how they perform! Maybe they changed something in the meantime :-) Thanks for watching!
@@tobisreallifeskillswithtobi It helps if you use some kind of reflective material in/on/near the back of the panels. I'll post a solar video of what I find.
Thank you. Great notes too
Glad you like them and thanks for watching!
FYI I used the same process on a fresh install of 3.52, thanks again for this timeless video.
Nice! thanks for confirming! Yes I guess I need to update again... more improvements :D To quick... can't keep up with videos :D
I wish I could get a node red setup made. I fail at node red
I have a Part I and II in case you want to try step by step... I hope this helps and gives you an idea if you want to get started ;-)
This video had all the info I was looking for. Thanks for posting!
Great to hear and thanks for watching! :-)
Great information - will be amazing if one day the NewUI is available on screens attached to Pi's
Thanks for watching! Let's see if we can get this working :-)
Posted 10 months ago. How is it going? I brought one of these a couple days ago
I used it a coupler times last winter and planning on using it again pretty soon. I did not fire it up yet but I'm happy with the price value - still I ordered a little kit which includes a fuel filter which I wanted to install - still have to do it to make it last even longer ;-)
Nice love the mosasaur 🎉
My updates are working just fine Sending thoughts and prayers to those having difficulty w their updates 🤍
I blindly updated my pi4 from beta 3.51 to official 3.51 at my off grid cabin via my cell phone hot spot, got locked up screen and bricked the display that needed command prompts. Didn’t do any research so I did t have any keyboard to fix it, restarted it multiple times corrupted the SD card. Brought it home to troubleshoot, did command prompts the get the display to work, only to the found the SD card was corrupt. So back to square one with creating a new image fresh install. Stupid me I should have just left alone, my only desire to update was for GUI 2.0 on my HDMI display, which seems like this does t support. I don’t use remote console as I don’t have remote access network as camp unless I’m there with my phone hot spotting.
Sorry to hear! I hope you can get this fixed soon... The last few updates I'm struggling as well and not super happy with it. Not sure what changed or which of my hardware is causing it as of now.. still trying to figure this out...
When do you think the Pi5 will be supported ?
It is super quiet around Pi 5 sadly ;/ I have not seen/heard anything yet - but doesn't mean anything ;-) Fingers crossed it is coming soon!
I have not been able to get v3.5 or v3.51 to switch on on my Pi4, even with nothing connected.... the New UI will not start up...
Not much help, but just to say 3.5, 3.51 and 3.52 all work on my Pi4 setup and show the New UI ok. I only have 3 Victron devices, GPS and bunch of BT temp sensors
@@RodLittle gonna try a fresh install with 3.52
It’s generally okay when cables are bundled like this with batteries when energy can flow in and out of the battery if they show out in a bundle fuse may do nothing if it is not disconnected from both the BMS and the battery whatever is supplying power to the battery so there are a lot of reasons why you wouldn’t group these wives together and there are regulations on the group of these wires
Did the update and lost my screen
Yeah... Not sure what's going on but lately I have issues with updates as well as I pointed out :/
Lost my screen too and some packages are saying that the path has changed! Maybe we wait new package updates?
mv /etc/venus/headless /etc/venus/headless.off
A bit late, most of them already have this version running 😉
Hi i have Same bought on a Deal For 75$ my is Putting Out 180 Watts without backside so i am happy. I have a question you know why This Panel have a Metal Connection across all Cells on the Back in one line??? I See in your Video you have Same Metall Line in the Back what Looks Like a cell Line get. Shorten. Its confusing coz the Panel works but never See somethink Like this on Others Brands. If anyone know For what ist this Metal Connection that Cross 12 Cells??? Then the Others Part, on the Website they say Glas Front and Back ist PET. My Panel is Glas+Glas.
Cable mgmt is crap, all wires should be routed and bundled not hanging in free air,
Actually, there are very stringent rules on the grouping and bundling of these wires to meet product safety regulations when batteries are used
Hi, thank you for the tutorial. Will this steps also work with a Raspberry Pi4 running the Venus OS 3.51?
It should - but not with the new UI so far. I have no information if/how it will work yet. Stay tuned - I hope I can find out
@@tobisreallifeskillswithtobi i tried it but i cant make it to work. maybe the new version of the gpio is different from the onld one.
really bad design
Thanks for the video! One thing I would like to know about the heater is if it shuts down at set temperature or does it go to low fire rate and keep running? (This is problem with my Vevor heater, it overshoots space temperature and keeps running on low fire, never shuts off)
Sadly those Chinese Heater often come without this function. This one does not stop to my knowledge. I have another brand coming up soon which might have this feature but I'm not sure until I have actually seen it and tested it ;-)
Nice!
For all who don't know lifetime fluids are for the duration of the maximum warranty typically 60k miles. Best to change oil at 3 to 5k miles, trans and diffs at 30k miles.
I noticed the cells used were "B" grade, but they advertise "A" grade cells.
You should not Use your Switch as a fuse, nor should you be using the switch on the Negative side of the power source.
Can you use this as a maintainer for the 100 AH lithium Battery
Thanks for the video, just a question, whats happen when the battery is fully charged? The charge controller I think stop voltage to the battery but the power supply will remain on a wasting or consuming energy until someone switch it off? Thanks for your help
Any chance you could open one of those up. It doesnt have to be a new one. But id definitely like to see the build quality of a average model. Have a sub ❤
This video does include it being opened ;-) your wish comes true! :-) I hope this will help!
Amazeing they can even Bluetooth heat now wtf will be next 😏 😏
Hello. Nice review. I have a question. I have two AllPowers 200W solar panels. One has these specifications Open Circuit Voltage 22,2V, Short Circuit Current 12A, Power Voltage 18V and Power Current 11A and other have Open Circuit Voltage 44,4V, Short Circuit Current 5,95A, Power Voltage 36,6V and Power Current 5,45A. Which of these two panels are more suitable for this AC Box Pro?
Hi Toby, As promised I have now fitted EVE M31 314ah Lithium Cells in my Licitti battery box with a sun fun kits 200 amp BMS. This now makes my Licitti battery box a 330ah power station. Photos available upon request. Am I right in thinking if I charge the unit through the 50 amp Anderson Connection then there’s a 50 amp internal resettable fuse built into the lid that should protect the cables from over amperage ? Keep up the good work Sir ;-)
Looking forward to your installation and review of 3.5. I’ll install it after you check it out. Thanks! ua-cam.com/video/9h4txxphYyU/v-deo.htmlsi=g2B9iv8XKzJpeiCF
Swing your Ding :)
The warm air from my new Sunster Model XMZ-D1 still smells strongly of hot plastic or rubber even after a few hours of operation. What can I do there? So I can't heat a room, it doesn't smell good. Otherwise the heater works perfectly.
That's not good. It hink this is a bad side effects for the cheap chinese diesel heater. I would just let it run and burn the smell of for a longer time. If it is still strong smell, sending it back or involving seller. That's the only thing I can think of... I'm not an expert with the individual parts though :/ Maybe others know more and can share?
