Hiii Gateway! I have two questions my first question is what patches are you using ish for your snare your toms and the kick drum And second question, the gateway sound engineer, what effects does he put on the drum microphones?
This is so great! Thank you! And what drum sizes are you using for the kick and toms? You've got this kit sounding incredible and I'd love to get close as I choose a drum kit for myself/church.
I am very very interested to know if your snare hits are always rimshots? There is a substantial amount of attach when you are playing the snare even at a low velocity. As a drummer, I’m rimshotting most of the time. As a sound engineer, I like mixing the drummers who rimshot more. But it doesn’t look like you’re rimshotting so I am highly curious to know.
Looks to be a '60's Ludwig SuperClassic kit based on the keystone badges and hardware. These had 3-ply mahogany/poplar/mahogany or mahogany/poplar/maple shells with solid maple re-rings. Beautiful sounding drums. The Ludwig Classic Maples came along in the mid-70's.
@@GatewayWorshipTraining I don't see how this could be an answer to his question... He asked about the skin on a snare. The snare isn't even a Ludwig.. It's a Franklin custom. I went ahead and answered him to the best of my knowledge as a viewer.
Dude this is literally gold for drummers. You rock bro!!
💥
Top! Agora sim vou ter um Timbre excelente na caixa!! Obrigado ISHMELTON! Sou seu fã!
Hey Ish, how tight do you tune the bottom side of the snare and toms?
He tunes the bottom snare head very tight, top very lose, and he says how tight he tunes the bottom and top head of the toms.
Love seeing Ishs Vids on reels so inspiring as a worship drummer myself!
I loved the snare tone right before the zero ring and moon gel. It was BUTTER
🖤🖤🖤
The best drummer !🙌🏻
We think so, too! :)

My gosh that snare! What is that snare called?
It's a Franklin Copper 8x14.
@@GatewayWorshipTrainingI just bought one
Yeah? How is it?
@@crazymelvis5877 I actually prefer my Vertical pre chorus snare
Love this!! Big fan from Philippines!! 🙌
How high do you tune the bottom head? If you were to measure in full turns. Could never get that down.

you don’t need to rimshot tuned this low
@@kimseniorbAre you saying that tuning low leads to more attack? I’ve never noticed anything like that.
What kind of patches are you using on the snare and toms?
Tighter on top or bottom head of toms?
What size of Toms are those
Very Good
🙌🖤
Drums sound amazing. What kit is that and what sizes? Thanks for the video

Falto explicar la parte inferior del snare
Which ish melton skin are you using on your snare drum?
60’s ludwig classic maple.
@@GatewayWorshipTraining Can you tell me which paddle skin models are on the floor tom, tom, and bass drum?

Looks like a coated Remo P77 on snare, coated Emperors on toms, and I can't see what's on the kick... I would guess a clear powerstroke 3
Me puede decir los parches de los toms y snare
I wonder what kit ish is playing on
It's a Ludwig 60's Classic Maple.
Cuanto se afina el parche de abajo??
More tighter than the top
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Por favor, Legendas em Português!!! Please!!!!!!
We just added subtitles in Portuguese. These are automatically translated, so forgive us for any errors, but we hope it helps! Bless you!
How tight is the bottom head on the snare?
Most guys seem to go pretty tight. Two-ish full turns is usually about right.

You put such little effort into this video. It's almost pointless for anyone that is actually wanting to know how to properly tune drums.
remove earing
Sorry but I thought the snare sounds awful
The snare sounds great. I don't know what you're talking about.
