Finally took mine apart for the first time in 8 months to dust it. It was super easy to get off, struggled a bit to get back on, however.
I got it off trying to get it on now 😂
@@Platinum199 I've taken them off twice now, struggled to get them back on both times.
@@LucieOne managed to get them off and on. After doing it the first time it’s a bit easier now though getting them on is still a bit difficult
@@Platinum199 Must be something we're doing wrong. I actually want to get the black plates when they come out but I really don't want the aggravation of having to put them back on lol.

I was having trouble getting them back on for about 5 straight minutes even though I could’ve swore it was all lined up perfectly. Took me 5 seconds on each side after watching this quickly. Thank you lots!
Only needed how to put back the plates because I finished cleaning the dust so this was helpful.

Thanks for this - put in a new SSD and wasn't quite sure how the plates snapped back on. This was a little clearer than Sony's video (which was otherwise pretty good), so appreciate the clarity!

Ty for posting this with a way how to snap it on too. Usually things are a simple as line them up. Had to take my plates off after 2 years of not dusting it. Not a really smart idea but hopefully now it shouldn't get so over heated. Ty again

I just got the same black face plates just with the little slits on the side to give my PlayStation five more air to breathe because it does definitely run hot, plus I got two new Cooling fans I’m so afraid to touch this PlayStation but I need to take it apart to just clean the dust and to put the face plate on it to get familiarized where are the SSD is because in the next few months I will be getting one of those I have a 4 TB external hard drive so it’s gonna be hard to go to the SSD right away gunna look for a cheap 2tb ssd atleast before I make the jump right now I got 5-600 gb on my PlayStation and an official 4tb external hard drive if it was a few months earlier I probably would’ve got the SSD drive. lol. Thanks for making this video basically idiot proof ! Wish me luck gunna do it tonight

I would for go a MacBook Air, invest in a MacBook Pro 15-16 inch or better.

Air has a less powerful CPU, it’s a dual core where pro is quad core and better with dedicated graphics.

The Plate thign is not esy, Sony did a bad move when it come to removing the plate, I feel like I will break them. As for color might try the Purple hear it very nice color for it
