  • Replicator D' Luxe by T-Rex Effects - Demo by Oliver Hartmann Pt. 2
The Replicator D’Luxe is a sum up from all the knowledge, we have built up over the years, making Tape delays.
It is a dual playback heads machine. The drive mechanism has been updated with a noiseless belt drive. A tape lock/release mechanism is added, to make the pinch wheel and tape last longer and electronics has been tuned to perfection.
    HANDCRAFTED IN DENMARK
Multiple Playback-heads for true analog tape echoes
One Record head and two playback heads. Short Head for slap back delay. Long head for longer modern delays, or combine both heads for a semi Delay-Room experience
    Delay time Short head =108 - 520mS. Delay time long head = 215 - 1000 mS
Tap tempo for Long Head and half the time for the short head
True Bypass switching with a gold plated relay
New motor suspension with belt drive, for reduced noise operation
New Tape deck lock-mechanics to protect pinch roller and tape for longer life span
All analog signal path from input to output
Power supply with exchangeable blades 90-240 Volt, and an extra tape cartridge included

I'm still in love with my original Replicator. I never use Tap Tempo on anything. Also this dotted eighth Tap Tempo is weird. It would be cooler to have expression/CV control.
    Edit: Or MIDI capabilities.

That's a good improvement over the Replicator Jr. However, it would be even better if they re-start the Echorec project.
I wonder what happened to the full sized Replicator pedal?

Great improvements over the Jr, especially being able to do short slap back echoes. It would be nice if there were some sort of adjustment for the tap tempo subdivision and balance between the two heads when both heads are engaged, but as is I'll still get one. Thanks for the demo. I hope this does well for T-Rex as there is nothing else like it.

Sorry, but having the tap tempo set only for dotted 8ths is a dealbreaker for me. Also calling it Deluxe when it has less features (expression control of time and feedback) is kind of odd.

hmmmm dotted 8th only? what a bummer. why not just make it 1/4 notes for long delay and 1/8 for short delay? I was like “instabuy” until i heard this.

Awesome, I'm so glad you're making an updated version of the full featured Replicator, will definitely be buying one. When will these be available? I don't see them for sale online.

I can't believe the tap tempo is a dotted eighth, pretty much a deal breaker for me

dotted 8th only - bummer. It’s easy to mimic a dotted eight w a 1/4 note tap (just tap a dotted eighth), but good luck doing it the other way around

Yes! Finally, some good news, been wanting a Replicator but didn't want to buy a used one. When is the release date?

Is it really dotted eight notes on the long delay head from a quarter note tap with your foot? Is that accurate?

Picked one up this weekend. Absolutely is; tap quarter notes get dotted eighth repeats from long head (For me it was exactly what I was hoping 🤷‍♂️)
