I totally agree! normally on boss fights the music is fast and gets the blood pumping, but Chrono Cross did away with that while fighting Miguel! it took me multiple tries to beat him cause the music kept throwing me off! the sad melancholy nature of Prisoners of Fate really brought home the fact that you were fighting Leannas dad

Agreed. Independently on how I like each track of the game, the version of Prisoners of Fate in this video is probably one of the very best orchestral version of a track in a video game. Ever. Saying it's improved isn't enough, they extracted the very potential of the track at a complete another emotional level.

prisoners of fate was the most moving song in the game for me. most memorable part is where you are fighting Miguel in the ruined Leene Square. Thats when CC and CT started really meshing together as prequal and sequal. Loved both games. This is amazing

Incredible performance ! Love those games and Mitsuda and the medley in itself was amazing (they are fantastic musicians !!!) ! But I would love a Xenogears medley one day. Because... this game has dedicated fans, the game in itself is quite praised (despite the fact that it was not complete)... but its music was hardly (if at all) played in concerts... and I'm dying to hear one medley... one fantastic medley such as this one being played.

probably because, the sound fo the darbouka is not loud enough without the amplifier that they used, so as some drummers do, he had all the music in his ears, just to play in the right tempo and without extra noises... (he was alone versus the philharmonie, and he won....WOW)
When I see videos like this I always wonder if the people playing the instruments even know what the music they're playing is from. It sometimes seems like some of the people do, and are totally into it whereas others are just playing technically for the sake of getting through the song. What a dream come true it must be for the people who enjoyed these games and their music though.

Fighting Miguel in chrono cross was one of the most memorable moments in video game until now.. Great part of that moment was the song playing.. ;_;
