I was there. I was there when the four warriors of light crossed the bridge to Corneria after defeating the evil Garland. I was there when Cloud and Barret fought their way into the Mako reactor. I was there when Sephiroth entered the very life force of the planet. I was there when Cecil rode the chocobo back from Mount Ordeals with Tellah, Palom and Porom in tow, after forever abandoning his dark sword outside the shrine at it's peak. I was there when Cyan, Sabin, and Shadow fled from Doma Castle through the Phantom Forest on the train to the afterlife. I was there when Bartz dueled courageously against the mighty yet eccentrically odd Gilgamesh at the Big Bridge. I was there through every moment of joy, grief, hope, despair, desperation, and determination against impossible odds that each song in this medley calls to mind. I could never expect another human being to understand the intensity of the thrill of adventure and the call to heroism that these songs bring to mind every single time I hear them, but I followed each of these heroes to their ultimate destinies, walked with them through their trials and hardships, endured their sorrows, learned their life lessons, celebrated their victories great and small, and saved their worlds armed only with a d-pad controller and their aid. I WAS THERE!
Dude. That comment could possibly go down in history as one of the most articulate and inspiring message about a video game ever. You completely captured what it means to play these games in only 20 lines of text, and you have made me proud to say the same: I WAS THERE!
The intro is one of the most beautiful pieces ever put to paper. An absolute masterpiece.........then people discover it is from a video game and dismiss it as drivel.
First that intro music just made me emotional, then the FF7 battle music was so damn powerful, beautiful and emotional! Listening to that song makes me remember the first time I used the Limit Break and I was like " shit what hell is this power?! Some kind of temporary super sayin?"
It was wonderful wasn't it. that feeling. my childhood. wonderful memories the music was full of emotion, I didn't mind the graphics it actually helped since I filled in the gaps... wow. best game I ever played.
Hi! I come from the future (2024), to tell you they will indeed be amazing, Remake's sequel "Rebirth" will have even better tracks. Believe me, you're not ready, for the sheer beauty....
Arnie Roth is a fantastic conductor, I had the opportunity to see him perform a Final Fantasy concert in St. Louis, he played some really great medleys. It was also a great bonus that Mr. Uematsu played Dark World with Mr. Roth.
Wow... This is just.... There's no ever words to describe how beautiful this song is... Love the Final Fantasy Saga and this melody... is beyond amazing
* continued* music combined with images or what you are doing in the game is utterly astounding! This man not only did this for the games themselves. But to perform like this, and with his group The Black Mages, just shows his soul and passion for his creation. I love all the music in the games. I replay the games all the time because of this. May this man continue for a long time to bring us music. Arigato Uematsu-san.
This guy is and will always be a legendary composer of our time. This man has made all the Final Fantasy games so much fun to play. A story can only do so much, with music that is so beautiful and captures the feeling of the game throughout. Battles, dreadful/boss battles, ultimate/final boss battles, overworld, underworld, characters (both sides), area music, sad/loss, town, castle, bridge (FFV), 2 worlds, (V and VI), the ever staple CHOCOBO!, symphonic OWA, Kefka, and ENDING (IV V VI)*more*
I wonder what all the people in the audience who didn't know anything about Final Fantasy were thinking when they heard that this came from a video game franchise.
Nobuo Uematsu is amazing! It's so incredible how he is able to create such passion and emotion in his music. When I hear music form the FF series I can't help but be transported back to when I first played some of these games, and the feeling is awesome!
i grew up on ff in 1989 and in the yrs of playing i always loved the music. seeing this orchestrated my be the greatest thing I've ever seen. i remember trying to talk to kids at school about ff and of course no one else cared for it but it really made my childhood great!
I got goosebumps. The prelude part is like a mix of Final Fantasy IV, VI and XII preludes - getting their strong points all together in one rendition. Wow.
wow its really amazing how just a performance can convey so many different feelings at once... the beginning sounds like ur walking in some kind of white place... and some how different things began to come up (like the harp starts to play and then other instruments began to play..) and then when the chorus began's u c a bright but beautiful light.. O.o
I was supposed to watch the highlights from yesterdays NBA games and ended up watching this instead.. Im NOT disappointed, i love my old childhood memories from FF!
Dayum, we had a symphonic concert with Kenichi Shimura as a conductor. He along with his crew performed the 2-hour medley that represented the whole plot of the game. That was really hype. I just wanted to thank god for gifting me with this performance
Dido here! My heart went to the feeling of joy and adenture when playing these games! Still and always in love with them and Uematsu-sama's amazing compositions!!! *.* Still have my games and soundtracks!
I can't limit my admiration of Nobuo Uematsu to just Final Fantasy, I do love his work in lost odyssey as well. Pretty much everything he composes is some good stuff.
I was making really weird noises when Chocobo theme interrupted One Winged Angel. Then I was about to cry. Now my heart's pumping and I'm still making weird noises. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS.
I couldn't help but smile when the Chocobo music came on.
Perfectfully playful....my favorite part
The most beautiful music ever made...

.... right on dude.
I feel you bro. Only those whom have been through it will understand
Oh mate, what a long comment only get 10 like, here take 1 of me mate
Dude. That comment could possibly go down in history as one of the most articulate and inspiring message about a video game ever. You completely captured what it means to play these games in only 20 lines of text, and you have made me proud to say the same: I WAS THERE!
you're idiot
I was there in Cologne. Phenomenal acoustic in the Philharmonie!
Cool!
Halfway through those who fight I almost cried. It's unbelievable how much emotion nobuos masterpieces can evoke!
It's always fascinating seeing a choir part added for songs that didn't originally have them. I wonder what language that is >.>
Who remembers letting the game sit on START long enough to hear the whole song?
oh god.....me.
me me!!! dissidia
It played on loop plenty of times.
James Hendrix me!
nobuo uematsu is an all around genius, appreciate it for the music!
i have no words for how great this is !
Wow! The Phantom Forest piece really brought me chills... Especially with the choir addition... Uematsu-san is a genious...
In my mind: Don't Cry Don't Cry Don't Cry Don't Cry...
Me: crying like a little baby with joy.
Zero The Bloodedge CORRECTION: Crying like a little baby moogle with joy, kupo.

Reminds me of why my childhood was awesome
that prelude was possibly the most chilled thing i have ever listened to

The first twenty seconds could keep me happy forever.

I was there 15 years ago. Still crying when the choir starts to sing. 🤍🤍
at :20 I had goosebumps from my childhood flooding me
I know what you mean.. FFVI was an epic moment in my childhood.
That harp at the very beginning gave me chills. I love it
The intro is one of the most beautiful pieces ever put to paper. An absolute masterpiece.........then people discover it is from a video game and dismiss it as drivel.
No I agree. The intro has always been magical to me as a child. Seeing this come to life, especially with that choir is fucking EPIC!
These arrangements are absolutely beautiful.
hiiiii, i will see nobuo in paris this saturday, so thrilled !
Brings back so many memories.
First that intro music just made me emotional, then the FF7 battle music was so damn powerful, beautiful and emotional! Listening to that song makes me remember the first time I used the Limit Break and I was like " shit what hell is this power?! Some kind of temporary super sayin?"
Tears my heart with such grace and rebuilds it with endless memories of good will. Love is Fantasy!
*Smiling like a hopeless person falling in love when watching this
up til 5am watching all these.
not a single regret
If I was singing in that choir, I'd sing the shit out of those songs! like...FUCK YEAHHH!!!!!
The Phantom Forest from FF6!! :O
Wanna ride a train?
Derric Greene shadow was such a badass...
RebeccaETripp you all three have just win a place in my new world
It was wonderful wasn't it. that feeling. my childhood. wonderful memories the music was full of emotion, I didn't mind the graphics it actually helped since I filled in the gaps... wow. best game I ever played.
exelente melodia...musica para mis oidos... Final fantasy por vida
I always wonder if the people singing knew the songs from before, or if they just wonder "what the fuck am i singing?" ?
Doesn't matter when you know how much you'll get paid haha
The world needs, must have, cries out in anguish for, is dying without... more music like this.
Can't wait for re-orchestrated soundtracks for FF VII Remake. MMMmmmm...
Hi! I come from the future (2024), to tell you they will indeed be amazing, Remake's sequel "Rebirth" will have even better tracks. Believe me, you're not ready, for the sheer beauty....
For me story line and music go hand in hand, just because the music helps convey a lot of emotion.
I would love to replay FF7 with this version of Those who fight ^^
Totally agree dude, that was sooooo awesome
Arnie Roth is a fantastic conductor, I had the opportunity to see him perform a Final Fantasy concert in St. Louis, he played some really great medleys. It was also a great bonus that Mr. Uematsu played Dark World with Mr. Roth.
The women singing are like "i still cant believe my son is playing this stoopid game all day"
So many fond memories flood into my mind by hearing all these great classic FF songs. Love how they did it!
Clapclapclapclapclap hands blooding*
Thank you God you let Nobuo Uematsu born to this world...
The woman playing the harp in the opening looks like an absolute babe .

The intro makes me wonder about the 'magic' in the world, beautiful nature, and whats beyond the stars.
So amazing.
this song brought me to tears
Wie konnte ich das nur versäumen?... gleich vor der Haustür ... und ich erfahre es erst am Tag danach davon.....
Auf jedenfall, danke fürs Hochladen!
That is because there are no words to describe how incredible this is!!!
I got shivers down my spine when the battle music kicked in.
Final Fantasy VII Battle Theme was true epic with the choir.
I was there and I couldn't believe my ears. It was truely amazing.
I wonder what all the people in the audience who didn't know anything about Final Fantasy were thinking when they heard that this came from a video game franchise.

After years this (these) melodie(s) still give me an epic feeling. It stays awsome.
That chocobo theme busted in that about four times but it's so far still the best medley i've ever heard
wow..... im speechless....
Prelude was just heaven-like
The Chocobo interruptions to both One-Winged Angel and the Theme were brilliant arrangement choices. Well played.
The Mystic Forest was so beautiful at the end. I'm so glad I listened to this whole thing.
Words cant describe how amazing this is. This is something I will definitely have to see in person before I leave this earth
I got goosebumps.
The prelude part is like a mix of Final Fantasy IV, VI and XII preludes - getting their strong points all together in one rendition.
Wow.
Man, I want to attend an tribute to Nobuo Uematsu so much. Hes one of the main reason why I love classically played musics : 3

Oh damn..I would have such a geekgasm if I went to one of these shows...It's friggn awesome.
The music made for the final fantasy is simply the best music ever. Even better than any music from movies or musicals or w/e.
wow its really amazing how just a performance can convey so many different feelings at once... the beginning sounds like ur walking in some kind of white place... and some how different things began to come up (like the harp starts to play and then other instruments began to play..) and then when the chorus began's u c a bright but beautiful light.. Music of my life
I was supposed to watch the highlights from yesterdays NBA games and ended up watching this instead.. Im NOT disappointed, i love my old childhood memories from FF!
Each Final Fantasy has its own special charm to me. I've played 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10,(10-2) and 2(halfway).

Shit's powerful, very moving. I don't know if anyone can stop the tremendous force that is the Symphonic Fantasies Orchestra.
I don't speak other languages well, but share the same memory of playing this game with many people.
feel something funny but very happy. .
tears falls from my face this is amazing
Most epic arragement of Those Who Fight I've ever heard. The choir adds so much depth to it.
God, just hearing the Prelude is simply amazing
