Who knows...it's a giant universe out there, and we're just a small piece of it all. Surely, death isn't an end, but rather a beginning. For all we know...he really could be on his grandest adventure yet. Still, he is missed.
He deserves that, and more, IMO. May he Rest in Peace. What if death is nothing more than walking from one room into another?! People fear death far too much. It's the unknown that makes me curious, and want to ask more questions, and wonder.
It is so hard to describe to people the feeling of finding yourself in the kingdom of Zeal on your first playthrough of Chrono Trigger. You investigate a shining thing in a bleak, frozen wasteland, after winessing some crazy stuff that leaves you wondering how and if the world survived, and next thing you know, you're standing in an Atlantean paradise in the clouds with endless waterfalls just plummeting to nowhere, and Corridors of Time is booming...
Remembering when times were simpler, I was younger, unbeknownst going to have one of the best memories… After all that time playing it once more, it will never bring back the same feeling as the first time. The joy, excitement, sadness. Truly a memory worth keeping in all of existence. Farewell, travelers

I felt the same. A beautiful arrangement of music from a game that has really achieved "time travel" for many of us in that it takes us right back to our childhoods again...
When I've played Chrono Trigger for the first time, in 1996, I thought it was impossible to travel back in time. I always come back to this video to prove that I was always wrong.
Yes! Hearing that cue to the Kingdom of Zeal was a dream come true. I've wanted to hear a vocal arrangement of that for decades now! Beautiful beyond words.
@@ABCMeEFG Federico Dubbini has an amazing arrangement with vocals, but it's kind of hard to find on youtube unless you search his name. Still, I haven't seen one played live like this in a while.
Since the cultural collapse of the West, Japanese movie/video game music is the new classical music. All young classic music lovers and players these days play classic music from before the 1920s and Jap music from after the 80s. And there is a death gap in between.
Shala's Theme is probably my favorite song in the game. It's beautiful but carries a hint of melancholy. I must ration myself when listening because it often sends me deep into a pit of sadness. When I hear that song, I see flashes of my childhood. Fond recollections of events and, most of all, of loved ones. People so precious to me, gone from this world and reduced to only memories. The greatest music draws forth emotions from the listener without uttering a single word.
It is nearly an otherworldly beautiful, much like the kingdom of zeal, it tells of a time of unimaginable peace and prosperity... with melancholy deeper than lavos ever burrowed as it also tells you of an era that will never come back, a time you cannot return to... you can relieve that time in your memories while listening to this song, but that place in your memories can never return, you can never get that time back, you can never return to that time. To me that is what drives the song... there are so many great covers of it, it helps me grieve and serves as an outlet for the sorrows I've experienced. The good arrangements, remixes, reimaginations ect. they always always make me cry.
@saulosilva6406 it definitely hits harder now that I'm older. Frogs theme was my favorite then, but it's schalas now. Magus and robo theme are good too.
Everyone that played this game has the same feeling and sheds tears, man. Truly a masterpiece. Funny how chrono trigger made us travel through time, huh?
The moment is burned forever into my mind. I was just a kid, and after barely scraping by against the Black Tyranno on my who knows what numbered try, I see a cutscene, learn the origin of lavos, and go into the crater that once was the Reptite's castle. Through a portal and then... only desolate cold and empty land. Nothing. Then I find some strange building... I step inside... and I am struck by beauty.
I gotta be honest. I stumbled upon Corridors of time on a random video on my UA-cam feed. Titled in Japanese featuring the image of a couple lone sky islands. It had millions of views so I thought I’d give it a view. The next thing I knew, I was sucked into the world of what I’ve come to know as “Chrono Trigger” and seeing all these comments of everyone exclaiming how experiencing this song has been a highlight of their childhood makes me incredibly grateful I even opened UA-cam that day. Though we may never share the same nostalgia, shall the love for this masterpiece remind us that deep inside, we’re all alike. Cheers!
A lot of nostalgia doesn't hold up if played today. But Chrono Trigger is not one of those. It definitely still worth your time. I play it on my Steam Deck.
@@frannydai you know what, I think my daughter and I will have a go at it together. We’re about a generation apart (teen dad) so I think it’ll be a fun experience for the both of us to dive back into a previous generation’s highlight.
Fantastic arrangements. Its so nice to hear these tracks from Chrono Trigger played by young men and women who weren't born when the game came out. This score is almost 25 years old and I still have to hear a better one in a videogame. Really, really good interpretation.
FF13 is close if not actually better. Going back and hearing these Chrono tracks again, you can absolutely hear, feel and taste the influence Mitsuda had on Hamauzu.
The reason the Zeal theme is so emotional is because it makes you homesick - for some kind of place that only exists deep in your heart. So deep you cannot find it, but from which tears are drawn. A place you have only smelled in the air sometimes, but not even a place in your dreams to retreat to. You have never been there, but you yearn for it. You know it's somewhere. Quiet reflection with watery eyes is the only response. Sometimes it makes you wish you had never heard this song.
I'm not certain how you knew that stranger, but experiencing your description from somewhere outside of myself was profound. May we all find that place.
3:06 gave me chills, jeeeez. Something about lower pitched instruments having a strong solo right after the full band playing is just so impactful and mesmerizing.
There’s just something about corridors of time. Honestly it might be the most epic melody out of every song Ive ever heard. It never gets old, it always gives me goosebumps, and for some reason even after hundreds if not thousands of listens over my life, it still makes me start tearing up every time I hear it. I remember ages ago, I bought a JP CD for 35 bucks in Boston because it was the only place I could find Chrono Trigger OST... Schala's theme and Corridors of Time were among my favorites! This brings me back!
It took me a few minutes... Then the memories took hold of me. So disastrous, what happened to the Kingdom. It's been a long time, but I REMEMBER. One of the best games I've played in my Life. The Nostalgia is very strong.
Chrono Trigger, namely this song, is prolly the most memorable and powerful music I've experienced that keeps calling back to me since my childhood. Something about the crystal sounding beats ticking in the background like seconds to time itself.
Just recently beat Chrono Trigger again, and found it strange how Schala's theme plays like... twice in the entire game. Such beaultiful song made for one specific character that we don't get to listen for too much, yet Mitsuda made an incredible job nonetheless. And I really like how both songs gets combined by the end of the orchestra! This is so good :')
The amount of dedication and commitment invested in this is fascinating. I am truely amazed. I just found some other videos on your channel that caught my eye, I'll watch them now! Maybe you guys could look into Shining Force (especially SF 2) theme songs, like Elven Town, thats gotta be one of the best songs of this genre, also, I massively recommend this game :) Thank you for the upload, really brought a smile on my face!
Wow! I'm so glad I came across this! You guys and girls are amazing!! What an awesome arrangement and a wonderful performance and really nice recording/microphone quality, too! ❤❤❤❤
the fire of music burns within me, but things like this... it makes it burn not just brighter, but hotter & with more passion... i feel as if my very soul cannot sit still.. its as if i can feel the passage of time like its the wind... i want.. no.. i need to let it out and into the world.. my soul aches to be free, to flow on the wind like music.. so wonderous.. so powerful and majestic.. so damn beautiful... i need to pick up an instrument and just... let go, let my instincts and fiery passion lead the way

You guys 100% captured the magic of what it was to play that game and hear these tracks for the first time. Thank You.
Those hats are an amazing way to gain respect for video games music! Great great great Idea!!!!
I remember ages ago, I bought a JP CD for 35 bucks in Boston because it was the only place I could find Chrono Trigger OST... Schala's theme and Corridors of Time were among my favorites! This brings me back!
I wonder if Yasunori-San has any earthly idea how deeply and profoundly his music touched so many millions of people?
It took me a few minutes... Then the memories took hold of me. So disastrous, what happened to the Kingdom. It's been a long time, but I REMEMBER. One of the best games I've played in my Life. The Nostalgia is very strong.
Bassoon in Corridors of time is just brilliant. Loving this whole piece so much it's lovely

la perfection
Es un mierd4 esta version. La mejores son la del canal PPF.
damn that choir section hit hard 🤌
The feeling at 5:10 when all the strings kick in... so damn peaceful. Merci Pixelophonia!
OH MY GOD! Beautiful, lovely and amazing people!! GOOD JOB!
March 2021 Here. Remember when we could go to concerts? Hopefully we can go soon to a concert to hear this live.
Chrono Trigger, namely this song, is prolly the most memorable and powerful music I've experienced that keeps calling back to me since my childhood. Something about the crystal sounding beats ticking in the background like seconds to time itself.
Beautiful. I cried like only music can make you. It captures the tragedy beneath the beauty of Zeal, and the heart of Schala. ❤️❤️
The fact that orchestra players have to be so serious to pull it off makes the hats so amazing.
This is absolutely incredible.
1:25 part gave me the chills and goose bumps. This is so good and I just love the hats!
Such an amazing piece of music, this rendition is definitely in the top tier.
6:44 Silence - 6:50 cof cof - 6:51 clap clap 😂.
The arrangement is simply incredible 😮👏🤌
The best of the many Chrono Trigger orchestral arrangements!
Such a beautiful arrangement.
I wish I could hang out with this group of people. These seem like my kind of people.
This is putting tears in my eyes. Thank you.
素晴らしいね!wonderful!
Masterful interpretation. I loved seeing the musicians enjoying themselves, and seeing them acting as a choir was a nice surprise!
Stunning!
This was beautiful, thanks for sharing.
The amount of dedication and commitment invested in this is fascinating. I am truely amazed.
I just found some other videos on your channel that caught my eye, I'll watch them now!
Maybe you guys could look into Shining Force (especially SF 2) theme songs, like Elven Town, thats gotta be one of the best songs of this genre, also, I massively recommend this game :)
Thank you for the upload, really brought a smile on my face!
Este é o reino mágico de Zeal, onde os sonhos se tornam realidade. Mas a que preço?
Um BR!!
Mas A que preço né ?
O preço foi bem alto, hein!
olá pessoal! :D
E põe preço nisso!
RIP Toriyama Sensei
I loved the music, the arrangement, the chorus, the hats... everything was so perfect. Congratulations!!!
3:37 corridors of time
Truly shows it's mastery that after 3 decades it's soundtrack is still, in many opinions, the greatest of all time.
Wow! I'm so glad I came across this! You guys and girls are amazing!! What an awesome arrangement and a wonderful performance and really nice recording/microphone quality, too! ❤❤❤❤
Astonishing
The nostalgia kicked hard just now! Great performance!
I just can't with that formal evening wear and the cutesy hats.
My favorite songs from the game.
Beyond beautiful :,)

Idek wat that means but wateves hhhhh
the fire of music burns within me, but things like this... it makes it burn not just brighter, but hotter & with more passion... i feel as if my very soul cannot sit still.. its as if i can feel the passage of time like its the wind... i want.. no.. i need to let it out and into the world.. my soul aches to be free, to flow on the wind like music.. so wonderous.. so powerful and majestic.. so damn beautiful... i need to pick up an instrument and just... let go, let my instincts and fiery passion lead the way
This is amazing! Stunning! The orchestra plays with such expression. And the choir singing in the middle was perfect and gave me the chills. The arrangement is fantastic as well; I love how the two pieces were overlapped at the end. Wow!
