Glad to see you reviewing this so quickly! I actually intentionally went to your channel to see if you’d put out anything about it yet cause it hadn’t popped up in my feed. I was pleasantly surprised! Love your honest reviews cause you don’t fangirl over stuff and overlook a major flaw just cause you want to like it. You call it like it is. I thought Hera felt a little off too. She wasn’t nearly as poised and confident as in Rebels. She’s like a wise mother in Rebels but she seemed a lot younger in this for some reason and was more just a friend than a motherly figure. Sabine I didn’t really have a problem with, although yes, she was a bit rebellious, but I kinda saw a lot of that in Rebels too. She’s younger, she’s been through a lot, she’s pretty much lost a family member, and she’s not dealing with it well, so it makes sense she’s reckless and rebellious. I did think it was pretty silly the lightsaber wound didn’t do more damage. It didn’t look like an area of her body that was super vital, but it still is a massive hole in your torso lol. They got bacta and cybernetics and all that stuff, but most people take a little more time to recover, even with all those modern miracles. Overall, I loved the execution the story and the plot is intriguing and they’re not giving you many answers and drawing you in with that mystery. I’m curious about a lot of things and very excited to find out where this leads. Especially excited for Thrawn and hopefully Ezra. Thrawn is such an epic character and I hope there will be more content with Thrawn than just this season of Ahsoka. Thanks for the review! Awesome stuff as always!

3:03 The names Baylan Scoll and Shin Hati are actually really creative names. Scoll (the one who mocks) and Hati (the one who hates) are the names of two wolves in Norse mythology. Scoll, the white wolf chases the sun and Hati, the black wolf chases the moon. It’s a cool reference and provides double meaning to the Loth Wolves that appeared in Star Wars Rebels and on the mural of the Ghost Crew in both premiere episodes.

Kenobi was an amazing comedy. I really enjoyed watching that show, but for all the wrong reasons. This one is trying to be better, but it definitely has problems. If you like those rebels characters, you might wanna check it out.
Heyo Erik couldnt bring myself to watch anymore Disney Star Wars but as for Rosario Dawson, she has always been amazing and indeed absolutely gorgeous. She was awesome in Clerks 2 and she actually was part of the cast for a little known but infamously messed up movie called KIDS from back in the 90s I think.
Yes, she was incredible in Clerks 2! My crush for her started there. I’ll have to check out KIDS. I’ll Stop being lazy and keep you posted on this show - Hopefully Lizzo doesn’t show up.

After a good start the show moves at a snail´s pace. First you´re happy that episode 1 is 50 plus minutes, just to detect it could have been told in the usual 40. I know Rebels, but if you don´t, the show doesn´t tell you anything about those people. So lucky that lightsabers doesn´t do mortal damage anymore and you can fight metal droids barehanded. 🙈 The camera work was TV bland. Dialogue for the blind. You´d be forgiven if you doze off during Ahsoka. And we all know how most Disney shows go after a decent start. Glad your back Erik. 😍

I really liked the music, Kevin Kiner did a great job with the score. I liked the lightsaber duels and the story that they are setting up. However I'm confused, when did Sabine become force sensitive? In Rebels she was a mando warrior and explosives expert. Kanan trained her to use the darksaber, but there is more to being a jedi than wielding a lightsaber. Also I don't think her and Ahsoka interacted much in Rebels. They also changed Sabine's character because she acts like a rude teenager in this show. Still interested to see where the show goes.
Yeah, I totally agree. Sabine acts a lot more younger and immature than she should be. And you’re right, she was an explosive expert and not a Jedi Padawan. The music still continues to be a stand out in episode three. I might not have a favorable review ready tomorrow for episode three. I’m a little worried about the show now.
Most of the UA-cam content creators I follow hate or strongly dislike this show. I've watched the first two episodes so far and... I think its great! But I do think the characters of Sabine and Hera are 'weak'. They come across as a bit 'flip- floppy' and not the serious bad-asses they were in Rebels. There dialogue is poor. Also, there voices are not as strong as the voice actresses who played the roles in Rebels. Makes sense I suppose, voice actors are all about their voices. But I feel like the people playing these characters are imposters for the most part, except Rosario. All that said, I didn’t really like this week’s episode. I want to stay positive, but I’m not sure anymore. If the actor who plays, Ezra can make me feel something, then maybe this is going somewhere.

I enjoyed it.. slightly slow in parts, but I think it was needed to build the character progression of Ashoka, even the slow parts of Sabine, this will help show Ashoka progressing as a worthy teacher and show her growth... Baylen, awesome. My biggest issue, was the scenes with Ashoka searching for map, I could just tell it was that LED projection screen being used.... I miss physical sets... Just jump on a plane fly to Greece and film in some ruins then tweak with a little CGI hahah. Yes I know costs... But I prefer practical

The visuals were absolutely great, the direction was 10/10. I love how they animate the movement of droids too. The girl bosses I didn't like, I don't think Dawson is that good, and Ewan's wife looks like Shrek. Is there nothing they could have done to stop the headtails wobbling about? I think I'm going to enjoy this more than Andor, despite the lead characters, which is a miss so far. Man, imagine if they put this effort into a Golden Age of the Sith show!
Well, I just got done watching the latest episode. It does have a scene that reminded me of Andor. Mon Milfma possibly shows up. I don’t know, this latest episode here didn’t really do it for me. I might not be too positive when I shoot my video tomorrow.
Ahoska stiff as a board with hands folded constantly, no lika. She also needs to practice with sabor, took forever to kill the droid on the shipping dock. In fact lets skip all the light saber duels give these people real swords since sabors are as deadly as the ones you buy at target. At least with real swords we may see some blood, something to show consequences. No Bacta for sebine don't need it. Ray, hottie, and the fake witch lady surely will be gone by the end of the series.
@@EvrydayErik Funny thing is when she was in the golf cart touring the ship port, she was sitting in the back of the cart again with arms folded. Made me laugh because she was sitting in a small cart like that and even there arms folded. Maybe she has some cookies in her sleeves she's nibbling on.

I felt the same about Ahsoka at the beginning - she was annoying. I have a feeling that Filoni is pulling the same trick with Sabine (because she annoyed the hell out of me - and I hate it when main characters do stupid things right off the bat). So I guess we're going to see if Fiiloni can pull the same trick twice - make Sabine into a heroic lioness - like he did with Ahsoka Tano.
I don't mind Sabine's casting, but yes, Hera is totally wrong. Just looks like a random person with green facepaint. Totally miscast. Morgan Elspeth, Balan and Shin all great!!

One was dumb as a rock and got killed after a few minutes, the other one is the bad guy (also dead now, but in real life, maybe he died from boredom after watching this). Everybody in this show is stupid, annoying and uninteresting. Story? What story, just another map quest a rubik's cube and people going from one place to another. There is a scene where the girl boss is too cool to attend a parade because she has to go home to feed her fucking cat. Everybody is just standing around, looking miserable and talking about feelings. Music sucks too. I managed to watch one episode, didn’t even bother with the second one. Death in Star Wars is absolutely meaningless now, there are absolutely no stakes in these shows. People that die can just walk it off. Frak off Disney, just frak right off! These properties need to go back to the nerds and virgins that build them and love them. Not some diversity hires who’s only skill is that they have a frigin’ vagina between their legs. F.U. Disney.
So I have only watched episode one. It’s okay. Hera and Sabine are really bland. I couldn’t see anything more than cos-players. Sorry I do hope they get better. I guess they get better as it goes along. Rosario is awesome. Ray is great. The apprentice does emote much better. Mandalorian armor could be helpful… but I’ll listen to the rest when I watch two.

I don't mind Sabine's casting, but yes, Hera is totally wrong. Just looks like a random person with green facepaint. Totally miscast. Morgan Elspeth, Balan and Shin all great!!

@@rakor8914 I hear what you’re saying. I’ll probably never watch these two episodes again. And the next episodes are going to be focused on Sabine, which will be tough to bare. Unless they use the world between worlds to save Luke Skywalker from being a loser, Star Wars is dead anyway.
I have no problem with this show so far, and Rosario Dawson is doing a great job playing Ahsoka, but you’re right all roads lead to the Sequel Trilogy

One was dumb as a rock and got killed after a few minutes, the other one is the bad guy (also dead now, but in real life, maybe he died from boredom after watching this). Everybody in this show is stupid, annoying and uninteresting.
Story? What story, just another map quest a rubik's cube and people going from one place to another. There is a scene where the girl boss is too cool to attend a parade because she has to go home to feed her fucking cat. Everybody is just standing around, looking miserable and talking about feelings. Music sucks too. I managed to watch one episode, didn’t even bother with the second one. Death in Star Wars is absolutely meaningless now, there are absolutely no stakes in these shows. People that die can just walk it off. Frak off Disney, just frak right off!
These properties need to go back to the nerds and virgins that build them and love them. Not some diversity hires who’s only skill is that they have a frigin’ vagina between their legs. F.U. Disney.
So I have only watched episode one. It’s okay. Hera and Sabine are really bland. I couldn’t see anything more than cos-players. Sorry I do hope they get better. I guess they get better as it goes along. Rosario is awesome. Ray is great. The apprentice does emote much better. Mandalorian armor could be helpful… but I’ll listen to the rest when I watch two.
