FAQ's
How do you afford to travel? - I now earn a full time living through creating these UA-cam videos, affiliate links, selling digital products and my clothing line. I used to simply just work any temporary job I could find to save up to travel! I budget the money I earn meticulously to reach my savings goals using www.backpackingbananas.com/pr...
Is travelling solo safe? - I would argue the answer is almost always yes! As long as you use your common sense and you follow your own government's guidelines about travelling in that country. I have made several videos on backpacking safety on my channel.
Do you have plans to settle down? Yes, I'm currently saving to purchase my first property in the UK and I'd love to have children one day. I doubt I'll ever live a completely 'conventional' lifestyle by society's standards though, as I often have my own preferred way of doing things.

Loved this Albania series! Seems like a hidden gem and is now on my list to go to in the balkans! Agree that showing your food would be interesting!
Thanks Lisa ❤️❤️
@@BackpackingBananas Tomorrow going to Saranda :)
@@BackpackingBananas I would like one day to visit Albania with u ladies
Sadly Ksamil is no longer the same place once was. You can see the beach umbrellas are so close to each other. It used to be a dream place. Sometimes i go back and look at pictures i took 12 years ago and compare with current situation and feel pity and anger at the same time how human being could go that far and destroy such a lovely place. Unfortunately it is not just Ksamil but most of the coastline.
dam girl your hottttt ,come to shkodra please
I'm definitely putting Albania on my bucket list! I didn't knew anything about this country before and now I just want to go! I love the fact that It wasn't full of tourists! Thanks Christianne these vlogs were amazing!!
My pleasure ❤️❤️ so glad you enjoyed!
I am actually albanian so if you want me to teach me all the words I know just reply to my comment thats says hate to serbia from albania
Can't wait to go to Albania after these vlogs 🤩
So glad I've inspired you. It really is a Treasure 💗
Just came back from 4 weeks of holiday in Albania, my 4 weeks never enough to visit the whole country
Visited tirana, durres, vlore, dhermi, stranded , ksamil, then permeti, korca, pogradec,..... stunning time over there and beautiful weather during whole of my stay that was 20th August to 17th September
Waiting for next summer to go again
I loved this Albania series! Every episode was wonderful and a complete surprise - Albania just moved to the top of my travel list!!
Thanks Melissa 🥰🥰
never thought of Albania as a travel destination, now it's definitely on my bucket list ! :D
Yeah tourism has taken off in the last 10 years or so
In 5 years Albania will be Thailand of Europe
@@leonardii4152 is that a bad thing or good thing???
@@PradicAdventures obviously a good thing...
It's the 2024 National Geographic travel destination #1. We've been there twice now and are leaving to live there in about 3 weeks.
Thank you for showing us Albania.
Yes to food content! I know you're not a foodie vlogger but I thought you did really well in the Mexico vlogs! Street food is especially interesting!
Yes we wanna see the food ☺️ always so interesting!
Okay noted! 😅
Me too :)
I enjoyed your entire Albania series... Albania seems to have it all (except caramel 🤣) the mountains. The beaches, good wine and its inexpensive! Which places were your personal favorites?
🇦🇱 is small country but I has everything, beaches, mediterranean climate, lakes, rivers, alps
Have loved the Albania series - now on my list of ‘future trips ideas’!
Albania in 2023 11 million tourist ❤
And Corfu was Albanian till Preveza.that land is ocupied in 1912-1913 (Epirus-chameria)by Greece helped by England and Germany 😢.
Are you still talking about greater Albania? Like you're not ashamed. And Turkey must take Albania. How would that look to you? Do you consider yourself Turks or Albanians? As far as I remember, Gjergj Kastriot Skëndërbej fought for Christianity and Albania, he fought the Ottomans many times. Albanians renounced themselves for self-interested reasons and became Muslims. Do you learn stories or hear them from other people's ears? Today, when Albanians have migrated to other countries, most of them to England, after years you will say that England also belongs to you?
I'm fine with the borders as they are. They are not dumb who created them like this. Look to build your country now and leave the old things behind.
Also, look to you men to educate yourself in general because you have a wealth of knowledge.
I've absolutely loved watching this travel series. Albania is beautiful, definitely adding it to my list.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it & it inspired you to go!
I'm going to Albania next week and this has been so helpful!
How was your holidays?Are u7 enjoyed?Nice trip 👍
Albania will forever be my favorite country 🇦🇱❤️
The beaches in Ksamil look lovely! I agree that a sandy beach is nicer to swim at than a rocky beach, but a rocky beach is nicer to have a picnic at since you don't get sand everywhere haha. I'm always curious to see what people eat so I'd like to see more food from your trips 😁 Loved this Albania series but I'm excited for Greece! Albania is definitely on my list now, I need to make it a priority ☺
Yes, love seeing food from all around the world. Especially as you start to go out of your comfort zone and try new things!
YES on the food! I love it when travelers show their food!!
What a great town, I'd definitely go there. Yes, I like seeing the food that you eat. Food is such a big part of travel!
Loved watching your trip through Albania! In response to Karen, I also LOVE seeing what people eat on trips 💕
Love Albania and Croatia loving your adventures
There is some really lovely hiking in the Butrint national park right next to Ksamil! You can even see some Mayan temples and a very beautiful lake!
You guys have done Albania proud.
Great videos, very entertaining! Keep it up! :)
Thanks so much ❤️
Thank you for the nice video I really enjoy watching you pretty girls enjoy have fun 🤩
Yessss I love watching different dishes from foreign places and reactions to how they taste !
Yes please show the food!🤗 that’s a huge part of travel for me.
Yey! Bravo you guys! Wonderful Albania travel series. While watching this last vlog, I decided to emulate your new found coffee drink by adding some Bailey's to my coffee as well. Lol! Safe trip to you ladies. See you in Greece! 😃👍
Haha GREAT idea 👏🏼👏🏼
Beautiful place! I'm going to add it to my travel list
Loved the series wonderful Christie!!! 💖
Enjoy seeing what you’re eating while traveling!
This places so beautiful
What a lovely day to experience the lovely sunshine on the incredible beach ⛱, this is beautiful, it so fun to here once again, amazing people enjoying live 😀, this experience is awesome, thanks for sharing this great video.
Thanks for watching! 💗
YESSSS, more food shots pleaseeeee!!
P.S. Love following along this series in Albania!!
I wish I could talk about the food as well as you do 😅😅❤️
Agreed! Especially since she stays in places not normally shown in typical travel vlogs (at least that I've found) So the food is super interesting to me. Like in Thailand and other places when she goes to the less traveled destinations, but especially countries like Albania that are overall less traveled.
Nice job of making a fun video. Thanks for sharing.
I love seeing the food and loved Albania
Thank you for these videos of my Albania. I just came back and already miss it.
I wish you would go back next year and do a tour of the sandy beaches of Albania, north of Vlora. All youtubers so far have only showed the pebble beaches of the south, which are very picturesque, but this has created the wrong impression that all Albanian beaches are pebble beaches. Which is not true. In fact only one third of the Albania's 470km coastline is pebbly the rest, two thirds are amazing sandy beaches. I would recommend: Spille, Divjake (where there also is a National Park, very nice for a hike and a paddle boat outing), Darzeze, Seman, Golem, Gjiri i Lalezit, Tale, Velipoje.
Cool! Thanks for the recommendations ☺️
I am jumping head first. After couple of jumps here I am head first. Lovely experience. Enjoyed your video. Thanks for sharing.
I was not complaining at the section when she was not complaining! Wow! Gorgeous!
I am so happy you're enjoying. It looks really amazing :) As a big fun of you Christianne and your channel, i know you love hiking. Since you are so close to my country, I would also recommend you to visit North Macedonia as well. Can't say we have coast and beautiful sandy beaches as in Albania, but it has a great options for nature fans, passionate hackers, cuisine and wine culture 🥰🥰🥂
Every good -Beautiful Albania @thank you every match@👨💻🙏🏽🌷❤👋
@Backpacking Bananas I was on the Medsailors Tour you've been on a week later, just missed you. It was lovely, can't wait for your Video ☺️
Aw no way! It was so good hey!
I truly loved this series. Watched all of it. Please do more of the Balkans in future. Enjoy Greece!!
Thanks lovely ❤️ I hope to do more of the Balkans in the future!
One of the many reasons why I like your vlogs so much is that you don’t talk as much about food compared to other travel vloggers hahah. But I would still watch you if you did! You’re vlogs are amazing and really make me excited to travel and explore new destinations, thank you :D
Ksamil Albania 🇦🇱 is so nice place to visit ,love AL,and very nice vídeo aswall
MORE FOOD PICS. Girl, we need to see that yummy content with the Baileys and coffee. ❤️🙌🏽
Albania is such a nice place! I’ve enjoyed seeing all of the videos but Ksamil was my favorite because of the backflip. Jk. I see you have made way for a spin-off channel, Hitchhiking Bananas. I look forward to seeing that! Lol
YES! Definitely interested in food filming! Mark Weins has almost 9 million subs with his food vlogs, so the people definitely want to see the food! Thanks 💕
Yaaaas I love when you show what you eat! Definitely include prices too it’s so interesting to see!
Noted! 🤗
Lovely series! Food content is welcome! 😋
I'm going this summer too and will be vlogging
thank you for the very interesting and informative video, including the food! And you’re both gorgeous, which helps!
Caren is right about vlogging food ! We wanna see 🎉
Gorgeous locations with two gorgeous ladies! :)

Bravo! ! Mire beni qe shkoni ne ato vende sh.te bukura dhe te virgjera.
Por nuk rregullojne rruget.
Dhe nuk shkon hotel I shtrejte ne rruge te shkrete....!!
I'm always interested in local food and fresh seafood when I travel. So, I would be interested in seeing more of the meals, food, snacks...
I was in Albania, Saranda last week and I can say. Albania is beautiful but the food is terrible.
Never knew I wanted to visit Albania before. It looked beautiful. Thanks for the vids!
Pleasure 😊
come to Kamena Vourla (central Greece)..It is quite a beautiful area with tavernas in front of the beach and many coffee shops. .Also in Kamena Vourla there are boats that take people to nearby islands called Likhadοnisia. .In general, it has many beaches around Kamena Vourla and combines sea and mountain....
Nice Video, Albania is paradise :))))))
Nice chikens in our courtyard?! That's incredible! Anyway, thanks for promoting our beauty places!
Ksamil is perfect if you want a pretty beach without traveling far from the center of things. You could even stay in a lovely apartment right by the beach there.
Any accommodation recommendations?
I’d love to travel with you guys so much fun x
You should have gone to some underwater adventures in Jale and near Ksamil where you can explore amazing old ships under water and caves that are under water its super experience.
Something to add to the list for next time ☺️
I just woke up and it was so good to start morning with this video Albania is so beautiful so are you both Greetings from Kosovo new subscribe :)
Yes, more food please👍🏻
Looooved the Albania series. As someone living in the Caribbean its really nice learning about these countries and experiencing it with you. I've never even heard of Albania before. Albania looks absolutely amazing and I can't choose which city/town was my favourite, they were all so beautiful.
Awesome vid 👍👍
nice video, what time of year is this that the water is so cold???
I was literally at every beach you guys were in June. “Pema E Thate” beach means Dry Tree Beach.
By the way Ksamil is not the best for nightlife Saranda has a better night life, lots of bars and clubs etc
Enjoy Corfu it’s amazing. Corfu town is nice for shops and walking around, but if you are looking for a proper night life Kavos is a place to be.
happy to see that u have enjoyed dear
as an Albanian , i suggest you to discover more places as Albania has a lot more places to see 🙌
Traduzione
I'd definitely love to come back and visit more!
I love seeing what you eat😊
Pema e thate = The dry Tree , quite simple .
love to see the food you eat! 😄
You are so beatiful, thanks for visting Albania i hope you had fun
I had the opportunity to meet you in person on the bus back to Saranda because I forgot my ID card at the Vodafone shop 😅 you and your friend Karen were very nice and I was very happy to meet both of you! Greetings from Portugal 🇵🇹 hope to see you in my country one day 😁
Aww I remember!! Hope you are doing well! ❤️❤️

Karen is always me getting into any kind of water that isn’t bath water temps
Nice vlog Christianne...🙂😉🌞🥰..come to Slovenia one day....btw...Karen is so pretty😉🥰
Nice video ❤❤❤
Thanks
Very nice
I 100 percent enjoy seeing what you eat when you travel!!! I wanna see it all :) aha
Visit Lukova in saranda I was a week before really nice
yes see food, food is good!
Thank you for this series! Before this, I didn't know much about the Balkans or Albania. You really have shown us how lovely it is! Seeing all your swimming adventures though, I do have a question. How do you usually dry off or change? My skin gets irritated with wet clothing, or when being covered with salt for a longer period (especially the private area). I've been wondering if you just towel dry yourself and then let the air does the rest, or if you have another way of drying up. Thank you!
Yeh I literally just dry off naturally. But the beaches often have showers to get rid of the salt!
I enjoyed watching your vlogs ! I will follow you :)
Can you tell us which camera are you using ? One camera or different camera ?
Thank you guys for the video on our country it sure does help with the tourism as the British media is soo hateful and racist towards Albanian people.
Hi, thanks for the video. Did they ask you to show a return ticket when you arrived to Albania? Thanks
😍
You both look great ❤❤
Nice video 🇦🇱❤️
good editing
What time of the year were you swimming in the water there?
Nice video. Albania is on my bucket list. How did you make it from Tirana to Ksamil please? I was looking online but I couldn’t find anything.
There are 🚌 or taxi or you could get pitstop for free
KSAMIL and SARANDA are the best Beaches In the Balkans
