Beautiful explanation and breakdown at the end! Considering visiting from the UK. We visit Turkey once a year and find it the best in everything BUT one needs to experience different countries and learn, grow this way too. In Turkey, those boat tours include meal and some kind of sweets too which again is such a bargain and there are 5-6 stops with swimming in each one, again music/no music choices. I think Albania is more expensive option due to proximity to Europe but beaches look really beautiful, will check it out and saved your video for that! Kudos!

Yes Geez! Too video pal, super helpful for me and my wife who are looking to visit Albania, especially as we originally were going to stay in Ksamil, but as we like a busier environment and more dining/drinking options it seems Sarande is a better option. Quick one, thinking of staying at the hotel you stayed in, but we usually go for one with a pool. With that not being the case, is there easy beach access in Sarande itself or is it just via the club at Lost? Oh and would you say there is a lot of evening food options? Curious as you went to Haxhi twice I think. Cheers mate! (Sergio Ramos had me btw 😂)

    • @gazwrighttravel
      @gazwrighttravel  7 місяців тому +1

I would 100% stay in Sarande and do a day trip to Ksamil. Eat at Madfish, Manxarane and Haxhi. There are lots of options, but I would say there are the best 3. The beach in Sarande is a public one and I would say 10 mins walk from where we stayed. There are some hotels with pools closer to the ferry port. We didn’t go there, but if you fancy a pool I would deffo check those out. If we stay were we did request floor 4 (our floor) or the 5th for the best views. If you want me to put you in touch with a great taxi driver to get around places and the Kamal etc drop me a DM on insta and I’ll share his number. Garethwright2

Everyone seems Ksmail online and wants to stay there. I think it’s super overrated but gotta do at least a day trip to check it out. You’ll see the vibe when you are there, but there isn’t loads going on at night compared to Sarande. The beach is beautiful just very busy so get there before 10.00am. Glad you liked the Sergio Ramos line. Any questions just bang them on here… 🤝

Hey! I would stay in Sarande and then do trips from there. Arame’s Beach is amazing and the accommodation looked incredible, but I don’t think there is much in terms of nightlife. If you want a super chill out maybe stay there. I would 100% do a trip there and go to the beach for the day.
We did Lost Seaside twice. I think I’d be cautious of staying there as they play really loud music. It’s great when you’re there but it you are hungover or want a chill day it might be a bit much.
Sarande had lots more going on in the evening. We stayed at Hotel Lili 2. If you book it say I sent you and ask for floor 4 or 5. They have the best views. They are about a 10 mins walk to Sarande, so either stay there or stay on the port side of town.
Eat at Manxarane, Haxhi and Madfish.
      Day trips:
      - Blue Eye was cool for a half day trip.
      - The vineyard was crazy value. £7 each for all those drinks.
      - Arameus beach is past Ksmail. We thought Ksmail was insanely busy but it is beautiful so I would probs check that out.
      - Koreza beach boat trip 100%. Crystal clear waters. Take some food as it’s only accessible by boat, so the food options aren’t the best.
      - Sunset at the castle is a must. The wine was €4 a glass and such a nice evening. Get up there an hour ish before.

My worst holiday experience in my life and i was on manny places. Pricew like in Switzerland. They have a horrible system. You cant acess the beach for free, all is private and its closed with chairs and umbrellas. You can only swimm if you payed a chair. Its one public beach and even there they have chairs and the parking spot is on a field whitout shadow. 1 euro per hour. If you swimm whitout you payed for a chair, they come to send you away telling you "sir madam this is a private beach and its only for our customers, you have to go now. There is literaly no nightlife, alot of bars and restaurants but nothing else. The beach itself and the nature are just amaaaazing, the water is soooooo nice blue, but thats it😁 This place is only for familys and only for maximum 4 days. As a young person youre on the wrong place in Ksamil and Saranda. I regret the money i wasted. Cheapest hotel is 40 euros and you have cocroaches inside, so if you go, dont save money, book expensive hotel to can enjoy. I dont think there is a worst destination in Balkan. Even Ulcin in Montenegro is 100 times more intressting and funny. Dont go to Albania in holidays😁

Hey - thanks for the super detailed message and did you go on holiday there this year and are you talking about Ksamil beach?
We went last year. The beach in Sarande was free but we paid for the boat trip to Koreza, Ksmail and Lost Seaside.
I have also been to Switzerland where I was paying £12 a pint. Surely they haven't got that high in Albania or have they?

@@gazwrighttravel im talking about yesterday, i just arrived from Albania now. Im talking about Ksamil directly. Yea well, its not 100% same prices like swiss, but alot stuff are even more expensive. But if you was there, you know what i mean. To pay 4-5 Euros- Franks for a cola is really similar to Swiss and the food is also not really cheap with arround 25-20 bucks..... Sure other places have even higher prices, but thats Albania and not EU 😁 here ppl dont earn 5 grands like we in Switzerland...... BTW in Switzerland its also a little bit mixed, depends which Kanton and city you was....But we can do such stuff as such a rich country and the prices only differ in restorants.

@@MrCakocalypse that’s actually crazy! I still speak to a guy from there and he said the prices were going crazy. I didn’t think it would be this bad.
I loved Albania but did NOT enjoy Ksamil. Super overcrowded and now sounds like stupid prices.
We went to Lost Seaside Beach Club, which was great and €50. Someone messaged me to say it’s now €105. In just a year.
It’s not sustainable as people will now decide to go to other more accessible spots.
Do you have a plan for the rest of the week? I would recommend Koreza boat trip if you like super chilled and secluded beaches

@@gazwrighttravel yea bro its like that crazy, verry sad...... The rest of the week il spend in Kosovo in the city of Prizren. I was 4 days in Ksamil. Btw i didnt went to Saranda beaches, i thought it will be annyways same😁 I recomend to go to Montenegro or Croatia for a really funny beach holiday. I heard in Ksamil from some Swiss guys that other beaches in Albania where even more expensive🤦‍♂️🙈 The nature and the beach are 😍 just amazing, the wather is so nice.
