    • @FrustratedBaboon
      @FrustratedBaboon 4 роки тому +2

      @@adrianTNT Why would the temperature increase? The inlet controlls what temperature goes in and the cooler keeps that cool temperature inside. It should not get warmer but even more cooler since the heat is being extracted. Only problem is that the exit should have foam around the foil duct like fiberglass pinkpanther wrapping etc.

    I made a silencer, it isolates all the sound coming out, but in order to work properly you have to put the miner inside something like the Cooler in the video

    If the asic box were larger with more spacing wouldn't that reduce temps a little ? Larger box plus the same fans could improve sound issues. 57 decibels is compare to someone talking.

    Hi, very nice setup :-) I have two questions: 1. Given that the fans are responsible for the noise, isn't it enough to connect the two ducts to the miner without the box? 2. I'm not good in physics, but as far as I know in a convection system the inlet flow duct should be shorter than the outlet flow duct.. isn't it?

    • @4Dsyndicate
      @4Dsyndicate  6 років тому

      Marco Colazingari Thanks for your comments and questions.
      1. You need to put it in the cooler. Attaching the adapters doesn't really make it quieter.
      2. You are correct but having a longer duct also helps it be more quiet. If it's a short duct, it doesn't muffle the sound as much.

    • @marcocolazingari7635
      @marcocolazingari7635 6 років тому

      Had to remove the S9 from the box because it was working very slowly (4-5Ths instead of 13-14). probably it needs more air than it gets when constricted with the ducting. a lot of work for nothing :-(

    • @4Dsyndicate
      @4Dsyndicate  6 років тому +2

      Andrew Debasque I was wondering if someone was gonna ask that! Long story short, the Cat5 hole was originally meant for the power supply power cord because I had originally put the power supply inside the cooler but the power supply got way too hot! So I had to put the power supply on top of the cooler and make the second hole. Thanks for noticing! But yes, you could and should just use the same hole!

      High voltage AC is a problem, but those PCIe power cables are 12V DC. No problem running that with UTP - if ultra cautious, FTP or S/UTP ethernet cable is really cheap.

    There are ducts going in and out of the CPU, but what about the air within the cooler? Does heat (i.e., from heat sinks) not heat up the inside of the cooler? Does that need to be vented as well?

    I tried this, but the heat inside the cooler raised quickly (matter of seconds). I could not connect the air duct to the adapter, is this the problem ? Or the fact that I'm using 4" air duct ?

    • @4Dsyndicate
      @4Dsyndicate  6 років тому +1

      Yes you need to connect the duct to the adapter securely otherwise the heat will leak inside the cooler. Make sure it's tight so no hot air leaks inside. My cooler has been running for about a month straight now with no problems.
