I’ve been waiting for this review since I saw the results. What a stunner this one is! The prize is undoubtedly deserved. Congrats to CigaDesign! Thanks for this review!
Very interesting. Great value, great design,. Great review. I would have liked you, to have shown it at say 23 mins past the hour or something, just to see how quick my eye could get there. Cheers
Kind of a shame they didn't put some lume on that compass marker, at least you'd be able to get a rough guess of the time in lower light. Also that big CIGA Design logo, that could have been integrated a bit better. Very interesting design though!
Just received mines today. Love the watch. BUT. Cannot read the time. Markers are way too small and you have to get the correct light angle and a magnifying glass. Also a slot can be made in the box to accommodate when the watch is put together. If you are listening CIGA.
Fantastic review WR4K, you must be chuffed to bit with getting your hands on this beautiful watch. I have bought my partner 5 Ciga Design watches a couple of which I wear myself sometimes. I've seen this pop up on my news feed a couple of times but always thought it was going to be a one off. I'm so excited to see that it will be put into production and after seeing it on your channel it really does look stunning. Do you think it will be coming directly to the Ciga Design UK store? Also are you likely to be getting your hands on new Black Hole ciga design? I would be very interested is seeing you review and thought on this one also. Keep up the great work x x
@@watchreviews4k Many thanks for the reply. That's brilliant it's coming to the UK Store, the customer service is absolutely brilliant. I'm all subscribed and notifications are on so look forward to the Black Hole review
Actually seems easier to read the time than a watch with index markers because it actually just says the numbers right out. Stopped wearing watches for a while and had to remind myself what number each marker was. Wouldn't have that problem with this watch.
I really like it, have not quite decided yet whether I'll order because after import tax its another 30% or thereabouts, and the servicing of the 'unknown' movement worries me.... interesting that reviewers are completely dodging talking about the movement, when normally its a big deal in watch reviews! But despite all the positives it has, I think you're making a real stretch to suggest its on par with a watch costing $10,000. There's Rolexes in that bracket. Grand Seiko and Omega are in that bracket, JLC too. That's above Tudor and Breitling (for most of their catalogue). I really can't see how this novelty piece which is difficult to read in certain light conditions, doens't have a screw-down crown hence is barely more than splash-proof, has a movement we know zero about and could be a faff to service, no clue on the brand's customer service for warranty issues (or how the tax implications of sending it back to China would work)...
Thank you for watching Campbell. It isn't a case of reviewers "completely dodging talking about the movement"; Ciga Design didn't provide any details to reviewers about the movements specifications. I stated the specifications I could find online about the movement. Ciga Design want to keep the movements origin private; reviewers don't have any other option but to respect that. Regards, #WR$K
Some said it's just too hard to read rhe time. Then why don't just electrical watch for all time? I wonder if any wear rolex will say it's difficult to tell the time
Never imagined Chinese made timepiece can be so interesting. Horo china coming of age...? If not for the novelty, I will buy this for the historical fact it won CHGP award 2021....
Thank you for watching. Yes, the movement winds bidirectionally so one could use a watch winder. It would need 650 turns per day bi-directionally to fully wind it. Regards, #WR4K
@@watchreviews4k please share your views about the durability & long term maintenance aspects of this automatic movement in this blue planet watch. Thank you for your valuable response. Keep it up.👍🏻
Excellent isn’t it. I love how Mercator maps in the US show the states in the centre too, hilarious. Spain still thinks they’re the centre of the world also. Maybe the watchmakers will make another model for the West, but I feel China would have to be represented also? In that respect they’ve done the best they could by targeting 7 Billion customers and not appeasing 1 Billion (figures rounded to the closet Billion). I’m sure the odd North, South and Central American may still buy one or two. I didn’t much care for it at first myself, but the way this gentleman presents a watch makes me start to like it a little. Another fine video.
You would think that a watch modeled after planet earth that is approximately 70% water would have a better water resistant rating. 3 ATM isn’t even good enough for a splash and dash shower. Would have also been nice to see a moonlike luminescent dial seeing that in most parts of the planet we are under about 50% moonlight. As always, a fantastic review. Thanks!
Watches shouldn't be worn in the shower. The hot water can pressurise the air inside the case; causing the rubber seals to leak. 30 metres water resistance is perfectly acceptable for a daily wear piece. Regards, #WR4K
@@watchreviews4k , I see your point and I do agree. I rarely let my watches get wet, but, I do like the security that comes from watches that have good water resistant ratings. You never know when something can happen and your watch gets submerged in water. I have always been under the impression that a 3 ATM rating is barely enough protection for even a good hand washing or getting caught in a downpour. No? Anyway, a beautiful watch, a fantastic review and I appreciate your response. One more thing: Have you had the chance to test out Aragon watches? I think you’d really like their designs and the attention to detail and craftsmanship that Wing puts into his designs. Have a great day!
@@matthewbailey6017 3ATM is 30 metres of water resistance. It means the watch can withstand the pressure of being 30 metres under water. I appreciate the suggestion regarding Aragon watches. Regards, #WR4K

Nothing is ever said about how Chinese companies can make quality watches at the prices they do. In My opinion its down to the Chinese government. These are not companies in the western sense. They are in effect waging economic war on the west with the government behind them. I won't go on about how China is using fentanyl against the USA also as its not linked to watches. I have a lot of Chinese watches and have got increasingly uneasy with what they are doing. They also steal interlectual copyright material such as designs. The whole of Chinese business is doing the same same thing. I think it's time to take these things into account in the true cost of buying Chinese goods. what grade of titanium is used in this watch? also can anyone elaborate scratch resistance property of titanium as compared to steel case.
