Desperation, which is what makes it worse, like he said, its likely the people falling for these scams are people who are in need the most. The other thing which Jerry somewhat touched up on was its likely these dont make that much/are that successful but just a few scores in USD is probably a lot for the poor people in a poorer country.
They're too desperate and too naïve. If its too good to be true, then its too good. I had people thinking they can be $5,000 usd Canon cameras for $500 usd. Some people were dumbfounded enough to send money to claim the camera only for them to get suckered in and realized they lost $500 usd. We do need an educational course on scamming so that everyone out there in the world can be aware of scams going on. It will greatly help everyone out.
@@harryvuemedia We don't need educational courses to prevent this. We need parents to actually raise their children. Too many parents sit thier kids in front of a tv, tablet or phone and ignore them.
@alecb8509 the issue is most the people falling for these scams are adults 40+. They're falling for these scams because the internet is still new to a lot of them. And if they never learned the red flags of scammers, they couldn't inform their kids about the red flags. The younger generation is doing just fine not getting scammed, we had our lesson through MMOs growing up.

I keep saying, bots add a lot of traffic to these websites. And the more traffic a site has, the more they'll be paid in ad revenue, which increases the value of their company. They can't create their own bot nets to increase traffic, because that would be misleading shareholders. But it costs nothing for them to say that they're unable to track and remove bots. I'm surprised it's been going on so long. I still read every comment on my channel (although that's getting harder to do these days) and apply aggressive filtering to try and weed the scammers out. I'm not sure how you don't get angry and flip out at him especially when he's jabbing at you despite being such a crappy person. Your patience is incredible.
Because it would’ve done nothing but reduce the amount of information the other would share…
6 months late but this is an amazing video. I seriously hate scam comments so much. It’s definitely frustrating as heck! Nice job on being so calm.
Man...I am lost for words...not at all what I expected...folks like you give me hope in this messed up world we live in....a truly refreshing & interesting video 🙌
I love how Zack makes this video as educating as possible. Because everybody has their reasons why they do something bad. The part "no hard feelings" that he said, is awesome. It's not someone else fault that the scammer's victim is a victim. It's their decision to believe the scammer intents. Be smart. This is why this kind of video should exist more, it's to educate, not blame.
It's also common sense. Like you can only feel so bad for people until it's like dude, you're plain stupid for falling for that.
I'm seriously impressed by the way you approach this. This kind of mindset is incredibly rare to find.
Emotional Intelligence at its best! You never disappoint Jerry. I can say without a doubt, you are one of the most inspirational people in the whole net.
You just got my subscription, it takes real matureness and being a real adult to be capable to show certain empathy even to those commiting bad acts upon those one appreciates or rather one's own community.
UA-cam is so anal about certain aspects of what a creator can post, but can't seem to give a crap about these scammers. That's because it has no effect on their bottom line. Bunch of hypocrites.
Anal!? This word had other meaning too? (English is not my first language, I'm genuinely asking if it's true)
The real human content viewers may be annoyed, the content creators may be annoyed, but the corporate level benefits from there being loads of bots on their site.
It's cheaper to refund for scams, than stop/reduce them
you solve it then genius
If people just use youtube for what it is made for then no problems man. You can block scammers using some methods. But for how long before they found another method?
Not gonna lie usually seeing you tubers bash scammers who pretend to be them is always justified.... but this was so well put I can't help but say your a real good dude man RESPECT
Wow man are you human or AI to have so much patience and understanding a situation without flipping. You're a dying breed. Great work
I love how at the end you were essentially speaking to him, and hoping for the best to him. God bless.
You’re showing the world how to have a civil conversation. Even if you don’t like the other person you’re talking to. It’s more productive to stay calm and collected.
What was the saying about honey and vinegar?
nahhh. us lizards know how to handle this. people like that taste good. trust me. flick flick. trust me.
wtf are these replies
@@JavierW-uy8vi I have a simple motto in life mean people taste good stupid people taste funny but they're still perfectly edible and politicians are delicious :-)

It is not often that a video about scams makes me want to become a better person. Actually, it's the first time it's ever happened. You handled it all in such a kind, calm way. If more people were at least half as nice as you are, the world would be perfect.
This breaks my heart. You said people who fall for this don't have the money to spare, your so right. most people are upset when this happens to them and your so empathetic to his situation if why he says about his situation is true. My sister was scammed by a "friend" on insta and she lost my mom's inheritance and more. I hope UA-cam does something to fix this. Or at the very least your viewers become more aware and verify that it's really you before they send money. Thank you for bringing this to our attention wishes more influencers followed your foot steps to protect their subscribers. ❤❤
I love you more for handling this situation like this ❤️
It shows how intuitive and comprehensive you are compared to other people 😌
You have my respect 🙌🏽
If police were like him we would have even more free criminals
