As much as I love Cory and the band by themselves, the energy that Trousdale has brought to this tour's shows is just beyond compare. Not gunna lie, if it were up to me, they'd be the permanent opener and main act feature forever. Literally never get tired of hearing that extra punch these ladies being to everything they're in!
Went and saw trousdale two more times this year with a fellow Cory Wong fan. I never had heard of trousdale until the CoryWong show in Atlanta. Thanks Cory for always bringing along the best of the best!
Cory Wong's superpower isn't being a world class musician and songwriter.... it's being an absolute TALENT MAGNET. Rumors are 1) bandmate Mark Lettieri wrote Magnetar based on first impression 2) Cory is legally limited to only vintage alnico pickups by Fender lawyers due to overcharged output concerns 3) Cory secretly turned down the Grammy he was nominated with Jon Batiste for Meditations in 2021 due to on-stage safety concerns that if it entered his immediate proximity he would never be able to pry it from his magnetic field. Upon hearing the news Jon, while vowing to protect Cory's secret power, was so distraught he immediately began composing and recording "We Are" earning 8 nominations and 4 Grammys including album of the year in 2022.
I was at this show in St. Louis! The entire night was electric, and I found a new favorite in Trousdale! Seeing Victor Wooten live was also a dream come true as a bass player.
Wow on those vocals. What I really love about Corey Wong along with his playing is the musicians that he has playing with him as well as the special guests that he has.
This was an absolutely incredible concert, I honestly love seeing Cory Wong half for bands I've never heard of who absolutely rock and can fit in seamlessly with this band! Always a joy!
Trousdale opened for my band years ago at an empty Arlene's Grocery, I remember watching their set with my mouth on the floor - They killed!!! I tried joining the band ... but it didnt happen
No doubt this composition is Trousdale's "wheelhouse." Take this ball ladies and run like heck. I'm 59 yrs old and would go see/listen to a whole night of this! Absolutely tear it up! Even people who don't dance would be dancing the whole night! Believe it!
