Oh I would love to have a Gypsy Vanner their beautiful and so gentle and willingness to please. God made such amazing animals. Especially horses are my favorite. Enjoy! ♥️
I'm in Arkansas/USA. I've long loved the Gypsy Vanner. Though I've never seen one in person. I always loved the stocky draft type horses (maybe why I love my Scottish Terriers so much). I hope I get to see one in perdon some day.
Vanners and Friesians are like horses out of a fantasy; such a dreamlike quality. If all they did was run around and look beautiful they would have justified their existance.
i love how you love your horses and they seem so happy i used to work as a volunteer with special budies of my own lol yhe love you show towards them also i got (stuck) with Seth the child no one liked to assist..he was a pleasure to me..i got though to him..hed kick me id say hey champions dont act like that..were going to win special Olympians..work harder at it. he became nicer and he won! it was amazing. he said jess you my champion..best day ever. he loves animals. became a volunteer also. equine therapy .the best
Wow! I'm so impressed you guys have really got some wonderful horses there in the Gypsy's, so happy for you all! :D They really seem just like you said, so loving and stable and beautiful to the eye, and highly intelligent God Bless, thanks for sharing them with us xo
Gypsy horses were brought to England from Turkey . The breed can be trace to Asia . An English general during the war with the Arab countries two centuries ago brought the Arabic stallion and the gypsy to England.Gypsy were used with Royal carriages on parades during the Ottoman Empire.
No they are not from Turkey. They were developed mainly after WWII by the Roma people in Ireland from Shires, Clydesdales, Fell and Dales ponies and some warmblood. They are related as well to the Frisians. There is going to be a little bit of Arabic blood in there somewhere but not a lot....
This is why I chose a Gypsy Vanner. I am anxiously awaiting for the day I can ride my girl. I would love to know where I can buy the tack that you use. The headstalls are wonderful that you show in this video.
These are a terrific breed. I used to ride one back when I was a teenager and they can turn their hoof to anything. The gelding I rode was a lot like sterling (and had nearly as much mane!) Never put a foot wrong if you were a novice and never spooked.... Until I got on him! He really kicked it up a gear if you could ride. I'd often be put in a class with TB x or warmbloods, and quite often jumped up to 3 foot. Couldn't ask for much more for an all-rounder. Bonus is, they tend to be a very comfy ride, I also used to ride the aformentioned horses' son who was a bit more of a handful (vanner x irish draft), who was like riding an armchair even with the bucks.
These are wonderful horses and you´re doing a great job! The rolling-the-carpet was funny. Just one question, why didn´t the mare lay down on the rug? So much more comfortable and cleaner than the sand. ;-)
You could see them at the ballinasloe horse fair, which does be on in October here in Ireland, but with the Corona virus around I dont know if it will be on this year.
reflectionsbydon nothing much really. The Gypsy Vanner has more exaggerated My Little Pony manes and tails and more feather. That much hair just isn't practical on the road with a wagon.
We have been to Appleby, several years ago. One of our episodes is about this long running Gypsy event. You can find it at this link: ua-cam.com/video/MBx7pq8PpMU/v-deo.html
beautiful horses ! although something is wrong ! gipsy people from south eastern europe but this beautiful bread of horses from uk ? messed up people ....
Sorry but Gypsy's spread to England in the 1400. There are plenty of laws mentioning them and trying to regulate them. These horses are decedents of cast offs and unwanted horses. They have been developed into a wonderful breed of their own.

Are you know sir, how much price in gupsy horse?
It all depends on breeding, gender, training, accomplishments, there is no set price on them, their value is determined by the entire package.
You could see them at the ballinasloe horse fair, which does be on in October here in Ireland, but with the Corona virus around I dont know if it will be on this year.
that is so cool to see the jipse horse winn 1plas
God created such a beautiful animal in the Gypsy Vanner horse and their temperament. What a sweet friend and loving horse.

Please direct your inquiry to Info@LakeRidgeGypsy.com for assistance. Thank you!
What's the difference between your Gypsie Vanner and the Gypsie Cobs of the UK ???
reflectionsbydon nothing much really. The Gypsy Vanner has more exaggerated My Little Pony manes and tails and more feather. That much hair just isn't practical on the road with a wagon.
Usually cobs are a tad smaller than vanners
If you like these cobs you need to attend the Appleby horse fair that’s what gypsy horses is all about
