That was a good speech for casual racing. The thing is, if you are a little faster and have enough experience, it's natural to go from casual-clean to aggressive-clean and your mentality changes. What I describe as casual-clean is what you do, trying to avoid contact and having a chill attitude while keeping it fun. Aggressive-clean is trying to keep it clean, no contact, giving enough room for the other car, no bumping, no pushing or side wrecking, but at the same time you don't pull any punches or give your position for free without putting up a little fight. When you get to that point it really irritates you when you are being very clean but other drivers just try impossible overtakes or right out take you out the track. But in the end, whatever your approach is, you have to open your eyes and realize that it is just a game and that when your DR stabilizes you will be middle of the pack fodder. Everyone is the protagonist of their own race, just enjoy yours, but don't spoil it for the others thinking that you must pass a lot of people and win, that doesn't happen.
I think the main point here is no matter how agressive or not agressive you drive, there are going to be wrecks. The cleanest, most aggressive drivers wreck. It's part of racing. Your always racing different drivers and different things are always going to happen. You can go on a streak of always getting wrecked, although not on purpose but it happens. Then eventually you can have some great clean races. It's all part of the game. For me, practicing patience while racing helps me avoid many instances of what probably would be wreckfests otherwise.
i've been in C for a while now, dropping down to D from time to time, but always back up to C in just a few races when that happens. So your point about winning in the category below is spot on. The races also tend to feel cleaner in the front of the pack, which is a lot easier in D. In C, I struggle a bit more to get ahead. The drivers are much more aggressive, and in the mid- to rear of the pack, dirty drivers are much more frequent. It can be very frustrating. On average though, I think I get more clean lobbies than dirty ones. But it doesn't take more than just one dirty driver to make the race complicated, and two to make it annoying to the bone :)
Never give up. My last day racing LeMans Sunday, i absolutely adored tht race by the way, I did six races in a row and the first four I lost DR either punted or overdriving spinning picking the wrong car etc. basically just driving very poorly but my last two races I got a first place and a second place finish and I ended on a high note. Unfortunately this week the races are very boring to me so I'm about halfway down on my A rating but hopefully we get some enjoyable races in the weeks to come. Great tips Cas! never give up and have fun, you never know when the next race is your winning race or podium finish.
Congrats on the win! I'm actually finding Race B fun this week, although everyone is basically using the same car. I think in my last race, there was only one car that was different. 😄
I was quit frustrated when someone rammed me out of the track from top positions. And then I regularly review replays where I hit someone or I was hit. Reviewing in the other racing view is very important. At the beginning, I always thought that it was others’ over aggressive overtakes/defence but I always found that in racing view, they could not see me trying too defence or making pass unless they are watching the radar which is not always possible during close races. And some time I would found that it was someone made a mistakes and made it impossible to avoid contacts. In most cases, contacts and crashes are unintentional. It is a good mindset not to quit. That is another demonstration of sportsmanship. I have been in SR S all the time and am happy to keep it.
Thanks for the video. This literally just happened to me a couple of days ago. It is so aggravating to be running a good race near the podium positions and then all of a sudden whammo you are stopped dead and facing a barrier, also you now have a 3 second penalty for hitting the barrier and you are in last. This happened to me on Race B Sunday and it completely deflates you, my DR went from B to C and I went to bed angry. Max Verstappen is an excellent example of a pro driver who gets into a lot of wrecks and consistently blames everyone else. Just this past weekend in Hungary he locked up and hit Hamilton in an aggressive move into a right hander and immediately he was on the radio blaming Hammy for the contact.
Nice video as always. I think the 1 point that is most important is to learn a defensive racing line. Once you get mid to top end of A ( not including the van wreck fest that destroyed my rating last week, which was just fun.) You will see it much more but it would be better practice and nice to see in the lower leagues. So you can quite easily see in your mirrors or radar someone coming at you quicker. Either they are faster or have the tow. By moving over to the inside on entry the only thing you loose is entry speed. Benefits far outweigh it, your off the racing line, if someone misses there braking point your not getting rammed in the back, they are very unlikely to take a dive down the inside and push you off or push you out. You are forcing them to out brake you and then at least be alongside you mid corner to give them room on exit, if not its your corner again to get it down and shut the door on exit. If they don't make it round and you shut the door they will generally have to let off a little bit on exit and you have the run to the next corner. If they make it and they are there you are only controlling exit speed for room for them, if they get by then they deserve it, Jump in there toe and see if they really are quicker than you. You will find both drivers loose less time, far less wrecks. I held off a tour driver when i was only B rated (the time i was working up and taking it more seriously before psvr2 came along) for 5 laps driving like that. They and A* drivers will often thank you for the race and congratulate you on a defensive drive in the comments as would i if someone did it to me. Only other probably obvious thing is its easier the slower the car category due to acceleration. So if you are going to practice it do it in gr4 or daily race A to start with. Keep up the great content Cas 👌👍
Yup, great points. As a Mid B/S rated driver I do find the racing to be cleaner. I also find myself in a lot of races now with A rated drivers too. Are there wrecks, of course. Are they on purpose, most probably aren't but it's all part of the game. If you want to race, your going to get wrecked. When the race is over, join another and hope for a better outcome. Everyone just needs to have fun in the end, realize it's just a game and the skill level of everyone driving is going to vary so much from person to person even though you are racing with other drivers within your same rating.
OMG you hit the nail square on the head. Last night I was clipped 6 times in a row and wanted to quit for good. I was sick of it. It was in GT7 ps4. So, I did what I stopped doing when I first started and rammed him. I felt bad afterwards. So he fell way back and stayed there. When I first started sim racing, I didn't know about the clean racing bit. So, I started driving clean. Let me tell you, the AI didn't give rats tooty about how you drive. They still come after you. After watching your video, I had a change in heart. Like you said about holding back, that's me. I usually wait for a good pass, But I do at times try some dumb things which I'm gonna stop doing, as always, they're right there ready to knock you out of the race. I actually don't even know what rating is at the moment. I try my best to practice, practice, practice. I haven't even done an online race yet. I just started this awesome sim racing about a month or so ago. And I love it. Now I drive in vr and got addicted to it. The AI make so hard to pass, always brake checking, ramming and so on. But once you pass, they back off. After watching your video I'm willing to stay in the fight and be the better opponent. Everything you said is spot on. Thanks for helping me with a BIG decision I was struggling with, quitting! I now have hope. Safe driving my friend. Cheers! I commented halfway through your video, but after watching the entirety of it, I needed to add that I always quit the race most times. But now, because of you, I'm getting back in the fight with a brand-new attitude. You helped me out bigly.
i’m fine with being wrecked and wrecking myself, but when people do that shit on purpose, n i mean when you watch the replay back and see them turn into you, thats what pisses me off
Totally agree. I just started my progress of my GT7 for just over a month. Got the same experience and found the same, I was promoted from DR D to C in the last week and got back to D again after some crashes by others. When getting back to D, being in the front pack really got a higher chace to have clean top 5 finishes. I am in C again and got some ways to avoid accidents and crashes by others which is exactly what this video says.
Today I finally made it ro level B in the formula one race at Suzuka. I basically got the cheat code where I could run a consistent lap time that wasn't the fastest, but it was consistent to outlast the rest of the class who seem to drive reckless. It's very annoying to race with people who pass you in straights with slip stream only to have you all over there bumper in the turns. And they will block you at every chance knowing that you are faster and you try to drive clean. One race I received several collision penalties because of drivers brake checking in turns which causes rear end collisions and penalties. There was a prick today that I caught who already had a 4 second penalty. I made a clean inside pass and at the next turn he rear ended me in a failed attempt to punt me, but i saved it. He managed to pass me right before the penalty line and slammed on his brakes to make me hit him to slow me down. He already was going to be delayed but he tried to ruin my race. This also hurts your sportsmanship rating. People should get banned for this. Poliphany needs to utilize the "ghost" system in lower levels more when cars get close to each other so it's impossible to collide. I have finished in lower positions because I've passed up trying to get around recless drivers, or pit early to avoid conflicts. Shouldn't be so much work to drive a clean race.
Couldnt agree more. You have inspired a new attitude about racing that has improved my driver rating and generally has me enjoying it more. BTW, I like the change to race C, I believe your driving style will excel there.
In just a couple of weeks of live races in GT7, I've become somewhat cautious in certain race situations. Never be side by side down a long straight with another car, they can easily run you off. I like sitting behind packs of 3-4 cars, because I just know someone is going to mess up, and with a bit of luck - pass them all. I always aim for raising myself at least two places each race. And take time to qualify/practice!
Great attitude, Cas. I'm tempted to dip my toe back into Daily Races after a year and a half off. I just grew tired of being constantly rammed off, but I guess your attitude that it is just a game is the correct one.
Get in there! Racing with AI can never come come close to the rush that racing with real players gives you. If you get rammed off a lot, challenge yourself to figure out how you can avoid it. Always when starting out at lower levels it is good to be ruff but by moving up you'll have better races. Of course you'll still get punted but just move on from it and hope for a better race in the next one. Eventually you'll be having some really great, fun races.
@@thecasualracinggamer Thanks, Cas! I did get to mid-B, but then gave it away after amost 1100 races. I found the dirty driving was getting worse, but perhaps it is worth another go. Thanks for the encouragement!
@@thecasualracinggamer Update: I did my first Daily in Race C at Suzuka last night, on my USA account. Using your philosophy of driving clean, not stressing about result, I started 10th in a 10-car field (didn't qualify) in a field of mostly Bs and a few As. I enjoyed myself, watching others take themselves out, and letting a quicker driver through. Finished 7th, but result is not important. Just getting back into it WAS. Thanks for your support.
Very good tips in this video. Definitely number 1 is to have fun. CAS knows, today in our first race ever I was hit and went from 4th to last but in race 2 I got 4th place so you win some and you lose some....
I always try to race clean but you are correct accidents do happen But I do hate a******* that just. Hit your quarter panel to make you slide out of the track
I have been playing GT7 for about 6 months and enjoying it. Sport mode for about 4 or 5 months. I'm a part time player and enjoy the Sport Mode. I can generally squeeze in about 5 or 6 races per week. Not yet willing to invest in a wheel and only use a controller driving Auto Trans. I'm not the best and thankfully not the worst. I generally qualify in top 12. I'm a B driver with S Safety. At times I found myself with A and A+ drivers but mostly B rated drivers and can hold my own. I drive for consistency and not speed. Generally finish in top 8 with a few wins for self confidence. I recommend have fun and if you don't want to wreck other drivers, don't depend on braking zones and use the brake zone assist settings until you are at least an A or A+ rated driver. I rarely punt others unless it's purely accidental and that's usually because the driver in front doesn't hit his braking zone. When I get punted it's probably for the same reasons, others braking too late. Having said that, every car is different and it's handling and braking are unique. Use the Brake Zone assist settings. It works for me and I think it could cause a lot more accidental punts. Enjoy, it's just a game!
I'm all about consistency! I preach it all the time. Consistency and patience will give you better finishes even if your are not the fastest out there.
QUALIFYING!!! put loads if time into qualifying and get out of the back to mid pack that's the best advice. Watch the weekly race guides and replays of the best in the world and try your best to copy them. I'm usually in-between BS and AS and there's still kamikaze pilots in those lobbies so just survive turn 1 and go!!!
I spend more time running qualifying laps then racing just so I can be towards the front and I'm okay with that. I really enjoy just practicing a track and working on knocking my lap times down. I find it just as fun as the race!
That's what it's about. It's so addictive once you're kind of competitive to try and get a bit faster each time. Saying that there's certain tracks I just don't have the one lap pace so there's no option but to race, but it's amazing where you end up with a bit of consistency and good race craft. Digit gaming, Kie25 and Tidgney are a great help with their race guides
On the EU server there a a lot of dirty drivers, in the US its a bit better. But its still anoying on bots servers. Expesaly when you're livestreaming its sucks when they bump you of the track haha. But I love this game and just keep on pushing.
love the content mate and thanks for this. Must admit be nice to get out of D class. Have set pretty good lap times consistently and I reckon I race pretty clean (S raing) but still seem to get taken out lap 1 or 2. No chance of recovery when bumped down to last in 5 laps......if only it was a 10 lap race. Some races are definately better than others.
If you feel like you are getting taken out a lot, start letting cars pass you when going into turns. Lots of times, they'll probably over drive it, giving you an easy spot. If you are coming into a turn with a car close behind and don't want to move over, you need to get into that turn and away from the straight part as soon as possible and then get on that throttle early. You need get out the way when usually the car behind will be braking late.
Hey ,am retired and ive been addicted to gt7 for 2 years now,am fortunate to be able to play when uk kids are at school and its a totally different ball game ,much fairer more fun more rewarding and good decent people
With the driver rating system it significantly reduces the wrecks, for instance my sportsmanship rating was S in GT Sport and I never had any issues with being wrecked. Not even once, It was mainly clean races. And that's probably cause when driving I offer consideration for other drivers, pullback etc.
My safety rating has almost always been an S and only dropped once when I intentionally took some one out in a race and dropped to B, did a bunch of clean races and back to S. My DR just recently has fluctuated between B & C . I let faster drivers go buy and when I have a penalty I move over to let others go by even when I am ghosted.
I come from the F1 game and there is no comparison. The F1 game is basically a wreckfest turn 1. Very rare to get a clean race there. When coming to gt7 I immediately noticed a difference in the daily races, it’s generally a lot cleaner already. Now I’ve got a better DR and I rarely have dirty racers around. The level of respect changed per person of course, some people will be a lot more aggressive than others, but being punted off for no reason is (touch wood) quite rare. I’m looking to get into assetto Corsa and iracing in the future, I hope it’s even better there. Just let dirty drivers pass, you’re going to lose time batteling them, and they will mess up at some point, just pass them again when they do.
I take turn one in any racing game with my eyes closed and hope I come out alive. 🤣 With iRacing, you start in rookie class and it's basically learning how to avoid wreckfests in order to move up in class. As you move up you'll get better racing but the wrecks are still there. People hating on each other is still there. The difrerence is with iRacing is it's a subscription based service and also tracks and cars need to bought over what they initially give you so, you get different types of drivers there. With GT7, anyone can just race who owns a PS5 or PS4 and many people didn't buy the game because they wanted to get into sim racing like one would do for iRacing.
Great and remember, it's just a game. Don't take it too seriously and just enjoy it even if you do get hit a lot. Besides working on winning, work on ways to avoid wrecks even if it means dropping down a place or two. I always say I would rather finish one or two places lower and avoid what I see as potential wrecks waiting to happen then actually get into a wreck and finish 10 places back because of it. Always approach with risk vs reward when making moves. Also practice to make sure you are not doing things unexpected that might make clean drivers hit you even though that was not their intention.
I'm really frustrated lately with the game. I don't do daily races much but I love the Manu and Nations Cups. Ever since I got my DR to "B" it seems I cannot get a clean race for the love of god. To the point that I gave up on the current series because I can't seem to complete a single race without getting taken out. And the penalty/ghosting system is just atrocious, people make mistakes in front of you, don't ghost out and swerve into your car and YOU end up getting a 5 sec for hitting another car. Just happened yesterday at Spa Manu's, tried the race 5 times during the day, got taken out 4 times. I love the game so much but I really can't stand people, it turns out.
Sometimes you need to drop places in order to gain places. If I see bad drivers in front of me, I'm not going to get closer to them, I'll pull back and wait for them to make a mistake which they will. At that time I'll make the easy pass. Always be analyzing the cars around you and then start adjusting your strategy based on that and the best strategy isn't always just drive fast and try to pass them. Driving defensively is just as important as driving offensively. They will both work in your favor if you learn when to use each one. Good luck, don't give up!
I want to apologise, I tried your theory and I enjoyed my all day sport mode at deep forest far better than I have in the past. But surely something can and must be done about the spiteful spoilsport in gt7 . I don't think this is about accidently wrecks it's about the scum that they go to spoil it intentionally . Today there were scum going the wrong way around the track . But yes I don't care about ratings I am happy to finish continuously in top 10 of 16 ,that's a result .
1stly. The kind of dirty driving I've experienced is lightyears worse than these examples. I don't think you have to "except" the dirty driving. For example if someone brakes late, hits me, I go off track, hit the wall, I get a penalty for hitting the barrier and the other driver advances. Wtf?! Where's the penalty for the other driver? Or as you mentioned. Drivers that will literally ram you off track and no penalties whilst you end up in a wall. In my opinion they need to tighten up the penalties. Like purposely ramming someone off track should simply not be allowed. It's easy for the algorithm in the game to understand that you're on a straight and turning hard left or right is illogical. So penalize that! Up to banning drivers for dirty driving. Yes some of it is racecraft. But a lot of it is just dirty drivers. I was stuck with a bad SR for a long time because every race was the same story. Just a ton of dirty drivers. So much so that even if you have a better pace it didn't matter because AS SOON AS YOU GET THAT BETTER CORNER EXIT they'll wait for you to start passing on the straight then ram you off track.
Lol hating on the controller players again. I enjoyed your topic and would say half the time its our own fault due to lack of skill. I can say when i started letting faster drivers pass (and not just slightly faster or close to my speed as that leads to the best moments) i mean the drivers that are in hyperspeed, let them pass!!!! Overdriving will cause wrecks and prblems. Other times it is a scumbag. I never give up and my goal becomes to avoid last. Im 99% succesful avoiding last. I also gain spots for drivers failing to change tires (penalty loss) or drivers who wreck towards the end. Change your mindset, drive as hard but smart as you can and dont give up and the game is fun. I had a good driver crash due to my bad driving at nurburgring, he finished 2nd and i finished 14th, he called me " terrible" after the race. It ticked me off but....So what, last week i got 2nd in Daytona and he was 8th and we actually joked and said hello to eachother because we both raced clean. Things happen, move on and have fun.
LOL. I don't hate controller players. I just think they have a huge disadvantage over drivers that are using a wheel and pedals. Not to say controller players can't be great. There are aliens that use controllers but for most people to master a controller with the same driving precision as a wheel, trail breaking with their fingers as good as someone with their foot and all while shifting with another finger, there is going to be a lot more drivers on controller driving out of control.
@@thecasualracinggamer touche amigo touche... Honestly your channel has brought some fantastic content. Please keep up your efforts and I still urge you to set up some of your personal race lobbies for us. ...
I'm still quite a newbie but have reached a stage where I rarely now spin out but it does occasionally happen. I have accidentally hit other drivers and have no problems with any accidents as we are driving on the edge and stuff happens. I do take exception and have been very frustrated in races where certain drivers think they're playing bumper cars. Had one last night who was as fast has me or nearly and he purposely kept hitting me to smash me off and take my place. I was defending most of his bumps but then of course he got me but also took himself out and I thought that was very dirty of him. There are a few drivers who I'm sure just come on to wreck as many people's race as possible as they get a kick out of it. Wish GT Polyphony would come up with temp bans for those repeat idiots but just have to move on a do a other race.
iRacing does have a protest system where it gets reviewed by real people and bans can happen. I haven't needed to use it there. I've gotten into plenty of wrecks there but none from drivers purposely out to wreck.
I'm just about done with on line racing it's so bad I can't get through a single race with out someone aggressively taking me out this should be disqualification but they just go by This has to stop and I've heard it all wait till they crash then just go by and then the guy behind comes in takes you there is no winning they don't even care if they get by it's like as long as they take you out it's all good
I just got moved to S rating....but still D class because I haven't raced enough....I race on a controller....the quality of racers as you get to A and S is a lot better.....more respect generally.....players are more into the racing than being dicks if someone makes a mistake.....not to say EVERYONE is 100% but the majority are. Im sure I have made mistakes and bumped people off but never on purpose.....
I had encounters where people purposely pushed me off track by hitting me from side just before finish line. I have SR rating of S and then also i get to see so many dirty drivers
@@thecasualracinggamer No, it IS different. Pro drivers doNOT just run others off on purpose on the straight before the finish line. Theyd be charged with attempted manslaughter.
A bump or even an occasional hit is understandable, but to run someone off road deserves a 20 second penalty. I have seen drivers ( including me) pull off and wait for others in this situation, because being a sportsman means something to them. The car that hit you never waited and advanced b/c of it. Not fair. Penalties in this game need work. Also I think we should be allowed one rage quit a week without the dr slam.
Accident happen like them dropping to your backside and clipping you on straightaways. Oh I'm sorry I burned you on that turn. Here let me drive into this wall... I let people pass if they burn me. Not an accident at all. But since players don't get penalties for pulling this bile pretty much everybody does it. I think they should get to have their fun. But give them a big DQ for their track time.
when the A.I. rams you off the road in the rain and you get a 30sec penalty... oh ok ill just use them all as brakes now worries. BUT its even worse when its dirty players that's why Im glad I can't play with other players (NAT type 3 is not not supported by PD lobby servers) cause when I get knocked off a track on purpose oh you better believe ramming speed or going around the course in reverse is going to happen they want dirty I will show the the origin of it and make sure they DNF or rage quit, I dont play that "RUBIN IS RACING" BS not on circuits, them are oval course rules only.
My DR is C and I've had some really good tight races with other respectable drivers, I ain't bothered about finishing top of the bored all the time. I can be racing for 10th place and still love it.. obviously we get shit races now and then, if ur not having fun then just leave it is my advice ha
It sucks because in real life when I race (I won't disclose where) I can just act calm until everyone leaves and sometimes the men who fought me on the track will 1 on 1 fight me person like A MAN. but sometimes you have the ones who think they can do it and get away with it and I catch them a day or so later and just unload punches on them. Turns out I'm one of the only regional racers that gets ZERO bs from people and all the respect I need (while always respecting others). Just wish I could settle it with the punks on this game like this. A good ole southern lesson. P.s. I have a few times got a good butt whooping from a few of those gentlemen I fought but NOT ONE today doesn't respect me and I respect them. Men should be able to settle it like Men, but how do we do this online 😂
@thecasualracinggamer wasted time and hours to get back where you started on safety and driving rating is definitely enough reason to have something to settle. I'm a grown man with a family. I don't do video games for a living like you. When I get wrecked back to back, most times I don't even have enough time to get back to where I started from that night. 💯
I understand what your trying to convey here but you cant teach race iq or reaction time to anybody. Best advice i can give to ppl trying to learn ANY TYPE of racing is before you set foot on that race you need to know ALL racing lines w breaking and acceleration points. If you dont know these, go practice more. Simple.. theres no substitute for actual seat time. Once you know all the line and etc, start from the back of the pack, its easy to spot when ppl are making mistakes therefore its easier to know when and where to seize the moment. Good luck lol
No one is ever required to yield but if it will prevent wrecking someone it's a respect thing. Honestly though, in this case not even sure if it was done on purpose and he could of actually tried lifting but just wasn't enough maybe. It was such a light tap, just where it hit me it threw my car out of control. I wasn't upset about it, just hard racing. I went into the turn aggressively and it ended up hurting me. All good.
@@whatitdo1234 I love the wheel and pedals. The direct drive really helps u feel the road and the true force too. There’s so many adjustments u came make on the wheel settings it almost makes any car easy to drive. Took awhile to get it right tho. I was still making changes 2 days ago 🤦🏽♂️
To me then that's on gt7 too cater too everyone. An the penalty system is trash. They will bump you on purpose an you get the penalty when you hit the wall from the contact.
His reply proves he is missing the absolute point !!!!!!!!!
i've been in C for a while now, dropping down to D from time to time, but always back up to C in just a few races when that happens.
Yeah, the replay often shows something else that is different than what you think happened during the race.
Wish I watched this 6 months ago. Learned the hard way. PD should make this video available when you start sport mode. Good info👍
Thanks!
🙏
i’m fine with being wrecked and wrecking myself, but when people do that shit on purpose, n i mean when you watch the replay back and see them turn into you, thats what pisses me off
Yeah, the dirty drivers that just ram you off on a straight, that's a problem usually in lower lobbies. Those guys generally don't move up much.
Outstanding, rational, common sense breakdown/message that a Lot of drivers/players Need to hear.
CHEERS 🍻, hoss!! 👊!
Thanks a lot!
Couldnt agree more. You have inspired a new attitude about racing that has improved my driver rating and generally has me enjoying it more. BTW,
I like the change to race C, I believe your driving style will excel there.
Awesome! 🤜🤛
I have noticed with top drivers if they letting you pass they will indicate either left or right to say where they are going
Until they accidentally leave it on lol.
I have been lucky to sometimes get in an A/S lobby and that is enjoyable.
Very good tips in this video. Definitely number 1 is to have fun. CAS knows, today in our first race ever I was hit and went from 4th to last but in race 2 I got 4th place so you win some and you lose some....
Video is up with our race!
Best advice you can give. Turn 1 clean in high quali position is key.
@@thecasualracinggamer thanks buddy. Appreciate the feedback and will take on board your advice.
I have my d pad set for hazard lights, flash high beams, and left and right signal. U don’t need the look left/right or behind cuz we play in VR.
I've been struggling this week. About to go to a B to C rating with another bad race. I'm looking forward to it. Maybe I can get some wins
Yeah, make a good thing out of a bad thing!
Thanks for the video. It's gone help me a lot to change the way to look at the game. Gr. Charlie
Also practice to make sure you are not doing things unexpected that might make clean drivers hit you even though that was not their intention.
sup dude Hawco1337 here good to see you bro always nice racing with you
I'm really frustrated lately with the game.
Fab ,correct but cas don't get it at all
Cas you constantly contradict yourself CONSTANTLY!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess the ratings are something like it but, shouldn’t we have lobbies just for adults?
Hoping for a rank game where you just play with people of your rank, not some random pro who finish the race a full lap above others all the time.
Can't say it any better awesome vid
Thanks
I dropped to D and won a race and came in top 3 a few times. Moved right back to C
Nice. Exactly what I was talking about in this video. Making the best of moving down.
I had encounters where people purposely pushed me off track by hitting me from side just before finish line. I have SR rating of S and then also i get to see so many dirty drivers
Yeah, there will always be dirty drivers in all ratings. Heck, no different than pro drivers. 🤣
@@thecasualracinggamer No, it IS different. Pro drivers doNOT just run others off on purpose on the straight before the finish line. Theyd be charged with attempted manslaughter.
@@thecasualracinggamergive up ,ITS completely more different to pro drivers that constant remark you make is utter tosh
Sports mode is so toxic, I haven’t played it in quite a while and have no intention of ever going back.
Get out of the lower lobbies and you can have some good raves. Of course you will have your fair share of terrible races as well.
No lower you drop the more reckless it gets
A bump or even an occasional hit is understandable, but to run someone off road deserves a 20 second penalty. I have seen drivers ( including me) pull off and wait for others in this situation, because being a sportsman means something to them. The car that hit you never waited and advanced b/c of it. Not fair. Penalties in this game need work. Also I think we should be allowed one rage quit a week without the dr slam.
Unfortunately those that brake too early I sometimes crash into them
Yup, it happens.
I tried to explain “clean driving” in GT7 to my 13 yko.
It's just a video game. No money on the line. We get to reset our car when it's damaged. There is nothing to settle. 😄
LOL. I don't do video games for a living. Not even close. Maybe can buy some coffees for the week. 🤣
No race cars or kick!
My opinion of your spin....you crossed the line and had an unsafe rejoin therefore your fault. Other driver is not required to yield to you.
All good.
Got my Logitech G pro today. I try to drive clean but get frustrated when someone hits me. My rating is C/B
How is that wheel? I have been on the fence about spending that 1000.
@@EdCapone ok cool. I'll be buying it very soon. Thanks.

Dirty drivers are one thing but I think a lot of drivers just make mistakes.
@@thecasualracinggamer
Of course. I’ve had those to so that’s an other thing 👍
To me then that's on gt7 too cater too everyone. An the penalty system is trash. They will bump you on purpose an you get the penalty when you hit the wall from the contact. Since the system is broke
Let me race as a ghost if I want. So that 11yr old who thinks it's funny too hit me an make my day cheeks. Won't happen.
Incidents are a problem in any sim. Even in iRacing If you make contact with any car, whether it's your fault or theirs both cars always get hit with points that effect your safety rating.
Lucky to 1 clean race out of 20
It’s dirty as fuck constantly if your rank d thru to s on SR it make little difference.edit(ratio of crazy’s in each lobby as you move up gets less)
Only so much folk can take before getting fed up.
Serious snowball effect
Meh, keep.pushing. 😄
Been smashing it all day!
I’m B & S again 💪🏻
Took some work to get from SR B to S. no compromising or slowing down & driving fi the back.
Monday evening it’ll all be mess again 😂
I had a Russian guy imitating a notorious gt7 player, Kimi velocini.
Cause he was hitting folk it made everybody start doing it.
Utter chaos 😂
Make good UA-cam content tho
@@thecasualracinggamer great video, cover lots of great points.
If you inspire or encourage some of your viewers with this who are struggling, job done 💪🏻
It helped me. I'll have a different mindset now. Did a couple of races yesterday and already be back at B ranking.😊
Has Cas, just wounding if you have a line under ya eye, skin is a lighter , if so i think i know what it is. Ya may need to get ya cholesterol checked because that is a sign you have High cholesterol.. If you treat it in time it can go away like mine did.
I actually just had a physical recently and cholesterol was all good. I did have high cholesterol in the past though. Appreciate the check. 🙏
Men this guy talks so much around the topic that even x2 doesn’t help… just get to the point bro ….
Did you try x3?
Your speech is so cool but. u get punted EVERY SINGLE RACE i got gt7 from early access i was B/S as DR/SR i came for fun bored from other games now im D/S. every race is playing demolution derby cant get any advantage from daily race a even. sry to say but as gran turismo got a new sequel im on my xbox playin forza m8. i already platinum-ed the game and golded every single licenses and challenges. sport was better game as a multiplayer now they kiling it at 31th jan. Yup if wanna get good multiplayer sorry to say Forza or Asetto is your only options
You should be able to get out of D easy with some good consistency and a little speed. It's all about avoiding the bad drivers and with a couple good races you should move right to C.
@@thecasualracinggamergot back to B but… Sr is on B too despite not hitting anyone. best case is B-s thanks to “no dr” or “no sr” races. its f*ed my man. forza didn’t got bad as this
